At two in the afternoon, the two little ones woke up, full of energy.
In contrast to their lively spirits, Deanna looked a bit weary.
It turned out that Deanna hadn't slept at all during the noon break.
Her mind kept replaying the events that took place in Lance's room earlier that day.
The growing chemistry between them had disturbed her mind, making it impossible for her to calm down.
As a result, Deanna avoided Lance all afternoon.
Lance noticed but did nothing about it.
He was afraid of scaring her away, which would make it impossible for him to see his son.
The two little ones also noticed something was off, their eyes full of confusion, not understanding what was wrong between Mommy and Uncle.
However, this strange atmosphere didn't last long and was soon forgotten by the parties involved.
Deanna was too mesmerized by the spectacular scenery in front of her to think about anything else.
That afternoon, their destination was the famous Baidi Palace in Feblesh.
It was said to be five hundred years old and covered an area as large as four football fields.
Inside, there were exquisitely carved statues and stone paintings.
"No wonder people online often say that a walk can clear your mind and make all your worries disappear," Deanna sighed as she stood at the grand entrance of the palace, looking at the endless magnificent scenery ahead.
Lance followed her gaze and smiled in agreement. "Indeed, seeing different landscapes can change your mindset and naturally improve your mood."
The two little ones didn't quite understand the profound words of the adults but it didn't stop them from loving the place.
They took many photos of the surroundings.
Suddenly, Chloe had an idea as she looked at her uncle and mommy. She whispered into her brother's ear.
"Brother, I'll call Mommy and Uncle. When they turn around, you take a picture."
"Okay, I'll count to three and you call them."
Gregory nodded in agreement.
Chloe immediately ran to the side and called out, "Mommy, Uncle."
"What's up?"
Deanna and Lance turned around instinctively and spoke in unison.
At that moment, Gregory pressed the shutter button, capturing a beautiful scene.
The bright flash went off, and Deanna and Lance realized why the little girl had called them. They couldn't help but laugh.
"Naughty..."
Deanna affectionately glanced at the two little ones.
Lance's eyes were even more tender, almost drowning anyone who looked into them.
He walked over to Gregory and extended his hand with a smile. "Let Uncle see how the photo turned out."
"Uncle, look. It's very good. My skills are top-notch."
Gregory handed over the camera proudly.
Lance took one look and was stunned by the image on the screen.
There was no denying that the angle was perfect, but he found himself looking somewhat unfamiliar in the photo.
He looked incredibly gentle, which was unusual for him. Yet, he didn't mind it; in fact, he liked it very much.
Especially with the little woman beside him, smiling beautifully with her black eyes shining under the sunlight. She was so stunning that he couldn't take his eyes off her.
On a whim, he uploaded the photo to his phone and then nonchalantly returned the camera to Gregory.
For the rest of the time, they wandered around the palace, admiring the scenery.
Unbeknownst to them, their striking looks also became a beautiful sight for other tourists, who envied them greatly.
"Are they from Chiaz? They look so good. The kids have inherited their parents' excellent genes. They seem like a happy family. I'm so envious."
"Especially the way that man looks at the woman. It's so tender. It feels like he only has eyes for her."
"The two little angels are adorable too. I hope my future children can be as good-looking and inherit my husband's and my best traits."
Of course, Deanna and Lance didn't hear these comments.
By evening, they left Baidi Palace and went to a nearby music restaurant for dinner.
During the meal, the two little ones started fiddling with the photos they had taken that day.
"Uncle, do you want us to send these photos to you so you can post them on Facebook?"
Gregory looked at Lance with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Lance looked at him and, for some reason, agreed.
The two little ones exchanged a silent smile and then sent the photos to Lance's phone.
"Uncle, hurry up and post them on Facebook. We'll go like them later."
Chloe urged Lance.
Deanna watched their enthusiasm with amusement and couldn't help but ask, "What are you two plotting again?"
"We're not plotting anything bad. Mommy, don't accuse us."
Chloe quickly denied it.
Unbeknownst to her, this made her look even more suspicious.
Deanna chuckled softly.
Lance had some guesses but didn't mind their little schemes.
In fact, he wanted to use this opportunity to express his attitude towards love and romantic relationship to his family.
