Chapter 229 Sariah Apologized to Deanna

"Why is the Osborne family here again? Are they looking for trouble?"

"More importantly, Old Osborne looks much better today, much more spirited than yesterday!"

"Yes, he looked like he was on his deathbed yesterday, but today he can even get out of bed. Dr. Deanna's medical skills must be extraordinary!"

The crowd murmured among themselves, curiously eyeing the Osborne family.

Old Hughes's face darkened as soon as he saw them. He had his men stop the Osborne family and coldly questioned, "What do you want this time?"

Old Osborne ignored his anger and smiled warmly. "I'm here to thank Dr. Deanna and to bring my ungrateful granddaughter to apologize."

He turned and scolded Sariah, "Why are you dawdling back there? Get over here and kneel to apologize to Dr. Deanna!"

Reluctantly, Sariah walked forward, casting a resentful glance at Deanna, who stood watching. She hated Deanna for making her lose face as the eldest daughter of the Osborne family.

Despite her resentment, she obeyed her grandfather's command and knelt before Deanna. Deanna quickly stepped aside, refusing to accept the gesture.

Old Osborne frowned slightly, feeling disrespected. In his view, their apology was already a significant concession.

Bently Osborne, Sariah's father, noticed his father's displeasure and quickly intervened. "Dr. Deanna, my father was not in his right mind yesterday. We only learned later what my daughter did. We are here to apologize sincerely and hope you won't hold it against her."

His words were well-crafted and sincere, but Deanna remained unmoved.

She glanced at Sariah and said coldly, "No need. Your daughter is too precious. I am unworthy of her apologies."

With that, she ignored the Osborne family and continued her work.

Old Osborne had expected this reaction. The Osborne couple, however, were displeased with Deanna's attitude, feeling she was disrespectful.

Old Osborne signaled Sariah with his eyes. Clenching her fists, Sariah took a deep breath and addressed Deanna.

"Dr. Deanna, I'm sorry for my impulsive behavior yesterday and for questioning you without understanding the situation. I hope you can forgive me."

Her words expressed regret, but to Deanna, they lacked sincerity.

Deanna coldly eyed the Osborne family, understanding their intentions. She mocked them, "If you're apologizing just so I continue treating Old Osborne, save it. Your family's lives may be precious, but so are other patients'. I'm very busy and can't waste time here."

She then turned back to her patient without another glance at the Osborne family.

"Your health is fine for now, but you need to maintain a good routine to avoid future problems. I'll prescribe some nourishing medicine for you to take for a few days."

"Thank you, Dr. Deanna," the patient gratefully replied before leaving with the prescription.

The next patient quickly stepped forward, eager to avoid any interruptions from the Osborne family.

Deanna reassured the worried patients, "Please line up properly. There are no special privileges here."

Hearing this, the patients relaxed. They were just ordinary people and didn't dare oppose the Osborne family.

Ignoring the displeased Osborne family, Deanna focused on her work. Many ordinary citizens had come for free treatment today, and she preferred treating them over difficult wealthy individuals.

This was the true purpose of free clinical treatment.

Old Hughes and Old Wright noticed Deanna's attitude and decided to handle the situation themselves, partly to earn her favor.

"Alright, you've apologized and said what needed to be said. Now leave and stop causing trouble."

"Old Osborne, take your son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter and go."

They spoke in unison and exchanged a knowing glance.

Old Wright snorted and warned the Osborne family, "If you don't leave now, you'll be opposing both the Hughes and Wright families. Remember, this girl is our guest. It's your granddaughter who repeatedly caused trouble."
