As soon as those words were spoken, Deanna and Julia exchanged a smile, holding hands as they approached the edge of the stage. With their backs to the crowd, they said, "Whoever catches our bouquet will find love next year."
After speaking, they tossed the bouquets, and laughter erupted behind them.
Soon, the emcee announced, "The bouquets have been caught. Brides, turn around and see."
Deanna and Julia turned to see two young girls holding their bouquets. They couldn't help but bless them, "We hope you find happiness next year."
"Thank you, Missus. Thank you, Miss King," the two young girls replied.
Standing at the back of the crowd, Xavier felt disheartened.
Despite his agility, he hadn't managed to catch a single bouquet. Was he destined to be single forever?
...
After the wedding, they returned to their new home.
"Are you tired? Do you want to rest?" Lance asked with concern, looking at her with a pained expression.
"No need! I already rested at the wedding venue. I'm fine now! Let me help you change your clothes first," Deanna shook her head and smiled at Lance.
"Alright, thank you, my dear wife." Lance immediately reached out and pulled Deanna into a tight embrace, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Deanna was startled by Lance's sudden gesture. She quickly pulled away, blushing as she softly reminded him, "It's not nighttime yet. Mind your image!"
"My image doesn't matter in front of you. I just want to hold you and sleep," Lance replied with a pitiful look.
"Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore." Seeing Lance's pitiful expression, Deanna couldn't help but laugh and shake her head.
"You look so beautiful when you smile," Lance said, gazing at Deanna with admiration.
"Oh, you!" Deanna's face turned even redder at his compliment.
Lance lowered his head and planted a deep kiss on Deanna's lips. She initially wanted to avoid it but was held tightly in his arms, unable to struggle.
They kissed for a long time until Deanna was almost out of breath before Lance finally let go.
...
Even in the quiet of the night, Lance couldn't sleep. He held Deanna and whispered, "Honey, let's go on our honeymoon tomorrow! Without the kids."
"Mm... okay..." Deanna was too tired to open her eyes and mumbled her agreement.
The next morning, just as dawn broke, Lance woke Deanna up. She groggily stared at him, not knowing what he wanted.
"What are you standing there for? Didn't we say we're going on our honeymoon today?" Lance handed her some clothes after getting dressed.
"Honeymoon?" Deanna's mind was a foggy mess, making it hard to think.
"Didn't we say last night that we'd leave Gregory and Chloe behind and go on our honeymoon today? How could you forget?" Lance looked at his dazed wife with affection.
"Wait for me!" It took Deanna half a minute to react. She got up from bed and started packing.
"Slow down, don't fall!" Lance nervously reminded her.
"I know!" Deanna replied irritably, grabbing a jacket and putting it on. She had put on light makeup that morning, and her long dress accentuated her noble and elegant demeanor. A black scarf wrapped around her fair neck added a touch of allure.
Lance couldn't help but smile at his refreshed wife. "You look beautiful today!"
"Hmph!" Hearing the compliment, Deanna's face instantly turned red as she shyly lowered her head.
"Let's go; it's time to leave." Lance took his wife's hand and led her outside.
Deanna sat in the passenger seat and fastened her seatbelt while Lance drove away from the hotel towards the airport.
At the airport, Deanna held onto Lance's arm as they slowly walked towards the boarding gate. Looking at her handsome husband's upright figure, she felt a sense of fulfillment.
At that moment, as long as she was with him, even traveling to the ends of the earth would be blissful.
"Lance, where are we going for our honeymoon?" Deanna looked up at the man beside her, filled with anticipation for their trip.
"You'll find out soon," Lance replied mysteriously with a wink.
They boarded the plane. Lance looked at the charming woman beside him with a doting smile. This woman was always so captivating.
As the plane ascended, Deanna gazed out the window with growing excitement. She couldn't wait to experience their sweet journey together.
The plane glided smoothly through the sky. Deanna kept her eyes on the clouds outside the window, a happy smile on her face. At that moment, she wished time could stop forever.
After some time, Deanna's eyelids grew heavy. She rested her head on Lance's shoulder and fell into a deep sleep. Lance extended his arm for her to use as a pillow and gently stroked her hair, his eyes filled with tender affection.
