The next day, hearing that Deanna was going out to cultivate medicinal herbs, the two little ones insisted on going with her.
It happened to be the weekend, and after some thought, Deanna agreed.
"Alright, mommy will take you there, but you can't run around later."
The two little ones chimed in unison, "Okay."
Deanna chuckled lightly, dressed them up, and set off with them.
At the same time, Lance also received a message from the housekeeper.
Rarely having finished his work, he rested at home.
After so many years, he had never seen the planting of medicinal herbs, so he drove to the mountains.
...
Deanna took the two little ones to the backyard, just about to plant, when the sound of footsteps reached her ears.
Turning around, she saw Lance's handsome face.
"Mr. Mercer, why are you here?"
Lance's appearance obviously caught Deanna off guard.
As soon as they saw Lance, the two little ones were even more excited.
"Handsome uncle!"
"Handsome uncle, long time no see!"
Lance squatted down, lips curled, "How come you two little ones are here too?"
Gregory picked up a small bucket and said seriously, "Of course, we came to help mommy."
Their demeanor was just like little adults.
Lance was even more curious, "You two can help too?"
Chloe nodded, her soft voice sounding, "Of course!"
"We often help mommy, maybe we can do it!"
Their cute appearance made Lance laugh, softening his heart involuntarily.
Deanna was responsible for sowing seeds while the two little ones followed closely behind, watering.
One big and two small, they looked harmonious.
Some seedlings were delicate and required careful handling during planting.
Lance stood by quietly and watched the whole process.
Deanna squatted on the ground, not caring about getting dirty, and directly used her hands to scoop up the soil.
Her serious demeanor seemed more attractive than those clean and tidy young ladies.
This thought suddenly struck Lance.
He snapped back to reality, rare panic appearing on his face. What was wrong with him? How could he have such thoughts?
He quickly looked away, hiding his emotions.
Not far away, Deanna shouted to the little ones. She didn't notice the mud on her face.
"Chloe, sprinkle more water here."
"Okay, mommy!"
Chloe carried the small bucket and followed.
Unconsciously, Lance was attracted again.
A morning passed quickly, luckily, everything was done.
Deanna stood up straight, stretching her shoulders.
"Done?" Lance asked.
Deanna lightly nodded, "All the planting is done. Next, we have to water and weed every day."
Lance smirked, "Alright, I've already had the kitchen prepare lunch. After being busy for so long, the two little ones must be hungry."
As soon as it came to eating, as expected, the two little ones' eyes lit up.
"Yay, it's lunchtime!"
The lunch prepared in the kitchen was sumptuous, and the two little ones ate happily.
Seeing the little ones devouring their food, Deanna couldn't help but stop them, "Eat slowly, no one's competing with you two!"
Her tone was full of indulgence.
Lance didn't mind, smiling, "It's okay, let the children eat however they want."
There were rare sounds of joy and laughter at the dining table.
Completely different from the usual silence.
Lance's eyes softened even more, feeling quite comfortable.
After eating and drinking their fill, the two little ones began to curiously explore the villa.
"Handsome uncle, can we take a look around here?"
It was their first time seeing such a big place.
Lance chuckled, "Of course."
Then, he led the two little ones to tour the villa.
Walking and introducing along the way.
He didn't feel troubled at all, and his tone was full of love for the two of them.
The villa was very large, with many storage rooms and collections, all of which were various rare treasures.
After scanning around, despite seeing so many rare treasures, the two little ones still liked the huge swimming pool the most.
They stood by the pool, eager to try.
Children always loved water, especially such a big pool.
Gregory walked over, his face unable to hide his joy.
"Mommy, can I swim?"
Deanna frowned, after all, this was someone else's home, not their own. It wasn't quite appropriate to go swimming like this.
Subconsciously, she wanted to stop him.
But before she could refuse, Lance interrupted.
He walked to Gregory's side, "If you want to swim, then go ahead."
Gregory's face lit up, "Okay."
"Mr. Mercer, I'm sorry to trouble you again," Deanna stood by, looking apologetic.
Lance didn't mind, "Just swimming, it's nothing."
Besides, he really liked these two little ones.
The next second, the two little ones jumped into the pool directly.
