Chapter 1068: Ask Mr. Grant to Be Moderate

Later, after finishing the barbecue, everyone prepared to go back to their rooms to rest.

At this moment, Deanna called out to Julia and said, "I ate a bit too much. Will you accompany me for a walk in the garden?"

"To the garden? Sure."

Although Julia was puzzled as to why Deanna called her, she nodded in agreement.

Lance, standing nearby, frowned and looked at Deanna in confusion.

Deanna noticed his puzzled look and leaned in slightly, speaking in a voice only they could hear, "I have something to discuss with Julia. You take Gregory and Chloe back to the room. I'll be back soon."

Hearing this and seeing Deanna's serious expression, Lance didn't say anything.

"Come back soon. I'll be waiting for you in the room," he said, then led the sleepy children away.

Julia waved to her boyfriend and said, "You go back too. I'll walk with Deanna to help digest the food."

Lionel was a bit speechless but didn't say anything after seeing his girlfriend's enthusiasm.

With their departure, only Julia and Deanna were left in the yard.

Julia affectionately linked arms with Deanna and said, "Let's go for a walk."

Deanna nodded and led her towards the garden.

On the way, Julia skipped lightly and looked around at the tranquil surroundings, sighing, "It's been a long time since we took a walk outside like this."

"It has been a while," Deanna replied, a hint of nostalgia on her face.

Then she remembered the main reason she had called Julia out and stopped walking. She reached out to Julia and said, "Give me your hand."

"What for?" Julia asked, puzzled but obediently extending her hand.

Deanna didn't respond immediately but placed her fingers on Julia's pulse, starting to take her pulse.

As time passed, Julia grew uneasy seeing Deanna's increasingly serious expression.

"Deanna, am I sick?"

"Give me your other hand," Deanna said without answering directly, releasing Julia's hand.

Julia had no choice but to offer her other hand.

After about three more minutes, Deanna finally let go of Julia's hand.

Julia quickly grabbed Deanna's arm, nervous. "Deanna, am I sick?"

"You're not sick, but the situation isn't good," Deanna said seriously.

This frightened Julia. "What's wrong with me?"

"You've been careless. When was the last time you had your period?" Deanna asked with an exasperated look.

Julia was stunned.

After a moment, she realized what Deanna meant and exclaimed, "You mean I'm pregnant?"

"Yes, you're pregnant. It's just over a month, but there are signs of a possible miscarriage. Have you been experiencing occasional lower abdominal pain with some spotting?" Deanna asked about her friend's condition.

Julia nodded vigorously. "I've had that for the past couple of days. I thought it was just irregular periods and was planning to ask you to check after your ceremony."

Deanna didn't know what to say. Fortunately, she had noticed the abnormality early; otherwise, things could have gotten serious.

Seeing Deanna's obvious concern and recalling her earlier words about the situation being bad, Julia grew more anxious. "Is the baby in trouble?"

"It's not good. If you wait another two days, it could lead to a natural miscarriage," Deanna explained.

Julia panicked. "What should I do? Can this baby be saved?"

Seeing her friend's panic, Deanna quickly reassured her, "Calm down. It's not that serious yet."

"Really? You scared me," Julia said, patting her chest in relief.

Deanna raised an eyebrow at her reaction. "So, are you planning to keep this baby?"

Julia was taken aback.

She had been so focused on the baby's health that she forgot she and Lionel hadn't been together long. And Lionel didn't seem ready for marriage. Would keeping the baby make it seem like she was forcing him into marriage?

She looked at her friend and asked, "Do you think I should keep this baby?"

Deanna frowned slightly at her friend's confused look. "I think that's a question you should ask Mr. Grant."

"Ask him..."

Julia hesitated but quickly made up her mind.

She smiled at Deanna and said, "I'll ask him when I get back."

Deanna nodded and continued, "Discuss it with him and let me know tomorrow. I'll prepare a prescription for you. Also, be moderate-your body can't handle any harm right now. Tell Mr. Grant not to be impulsive."

At this point, Deanna's face turned slightly unnatural.

Julia blushed with embarrassment as well.
