Chapter 43 Information
Sergio
We're woken up by a bang on the door followed by Bruce screaming 'open up'. I immediately know that he's found something, especially because he's not a loud prson, neither does he like waking people up because he doesn't like being woken up himself.
Both Angela and I wake up and leave to the sitting area, Angelina has already opened the door for Bruce, they've grown quite close in the past few days and I'm afraid my daughter will be a computer genius before she's of age.
"Ok, you and I will continue later, I need to talk to mommy and daddy." And I'm also jealous because he's gotten through her walls before I could.
"I don't like being made to feel jealous about my family, Bruce." I say picking up my daughter and kissing her cheek as he laughs.
"Not my fault she likes me more than she likes you." He says as we all watch her running back to her room.
"Yeah, but it will be your fault if she suddenly knows more about hacking at age 10 more than you." Angela says and we laugh as we move to the middle table.
Without saying a word, he puts his tablet down facing Angela and I. What I eyes see makes me want to kill somebody, especially Fabrizio. I knew he was stupid but this just takes his stupidity into overload. It's either him or his boss, who I doubt is the one behind all these idea's Fabrizio has.
This stupid man is busy recruiting kids. Teenagers who look like they're still more excited about seeing if their winnies actually stand when they see a girl. Teenagers who get excited over seeing a gun and think they can play with it, and he is giving them exactly that.
There's at least a hundred of these kids I'm seeing in the picture. All wearing black, all being trained on how to use a gun. All being trained to kill. They're being lead to a date worse than death, a dark soul. And although I know that some of them are there by choice, I wonder how many of them were coerced.
But mostly, I wonder if they're strong enough to handle the responsibilities of a gun, of killing someone. I wonder if they can handle the feeling it comes with.
I may have gotten into this business at an early age, but it was mostly because I was running away, I needed a safe place. I was lucky because I met someone who protected me, who saw to it that I really was strong enough to handle the pressure, the darkness and the guilt that came with this life.
All these boys are going to die in the battlefield, especially if the fear I see in their eyes is one they walk with everyday of their lives. Unfortunately they signed their own death's, my responsibility is to my family, I will not matyr my family. They will all die, whether they like it or not, but first I need to find their leader, because of he dies then all these lives could be saved.
"Do we have any information about where this is?" I ask.
"Not yet, the original post was deleted before I could trace it back."
"Do we have any idea where Fabrizio is?"
"Still working on that too. But I think we're close."
Angela is still looking at the video, when I look at her our eyes meet, her's holding a knowledge i wish I had.
"Wait a minute, this is back at the centre." She says handing the tab to me. "The one they're using now is not the same as the one they used before, this one is the one I lived in." She continues.
I take a look at the room being used in the video, it looks nothing like the centre. This one looks old and worn out, as if it hasn't been used for a long time. But if what she's saying is true then we have our work cut out.
"The centre had no bedrooms, only toilets, two to be exact. It was just an open space. We used to sleep on mats and shared a blanket. Two on each mat." She explains.
"Even in the cold?" I ask imagining a small Angela cold.
"It was what was offered." She answers back.
"Do you know where it is?" Bruce asks.
"Of course I do. I used to visit even after I got out. I had friends there."
Of course she did, I wonder though where they all are now. I wonder if any of them has at least a better life out of the system.
"Great then we can go check it out."
"She's not coming though." I say to Bruce.
"Yes, I am ."
"No, you're not."
"And when did you start controlling where I go or don't go Sergio?" I flinch at her question.
"Am I controlling you Angel?"
"No, but you sound like you want to."
"So looking out for you is me trying to control you?"
"No, you telling me what to do is."
I keep quiet, looking at her. Trying to figure out how all of his started, or where exactly it's going. Because I can't understand how when I'm trying to look out for her suddenly turned in to this.
"Ok! I'm sorry then. I'll stay here with Angelina." I say as I leave both of them and go to Angie's bedroom. There's no need to stay here, think it's best if we go down to Holly's place.
If Angela doesn't trust that I'm trying to keep her safe, then I think it's best if I take a step back. I don't think she understands how dire the situation we're in is. It's not that I don't trust her, I like the new person she's turning into, but she has to understand that she's still new in this business.
"Ok, what's gotten into you?" Holly asks as I stroll into her place unannounced.
"My wife wants to go on a stakeout." I answer her as I set up Angelina's tablet.
""First real fight?"
"Is it really a fight if I walked out?" At my answer she laughs.
"Didn't peg you for a pû$$y." She says.
"Because you know me better than that." I answer her and proceed to update her on what Bruce found.
A few times as I was updating her, she swore furiously. She knows what her father is capable of, one of the many reasons why they despite each other.
"So what do we do now?" She asks me.
"We wait!" Because I can't think straight right now. Even though I'm the one that walked out, I'm worried about her. I don't think she understands that going into such missions is walking through a line that's between life and death. I don't want anything to happen to her bug if something does, I hope it will be a lesson. She's not ready for this level of danger yet.
