Their Fight?
Avika and Samar started to home after dinner. Avika felt peaceful listening to the soothing music and cool breeze from the outside.
"Is it true that I am the reason for your courage?" Samar said.
"What?" Avika said.
"Truly I don't like praises. But today hearing you praising me really made me happy," Samar said, intertwining his hand with her hand.
"When did I do that big mistake of appreciating you?"
"I heard your conversation with Varun."
"That's the bad manners. You shouldn't eavesdrop my conversation," Avika said, pouting.
"Yes, but it's really nice to hear your love in your words."
Avika leaned on his shoulder and kissed his intertwined hand.
"Shall we have an ice cream?" Samar said.
"But it's cool."
"Yes, I love eating ice cream in a cool weather. If you don't like, we will go to the home."
"I love to have ice cream with you. So I don't want to miss the chance."
Samar stopped the car near an ice cream vendor, and they both got some ice cream. They sat on the front side of their car.
"Samar, can I ask you something?"
Samar nodded.
"I know I did wrong by not coming to home immediately from the birthday party though I know you were sick. Are you still angry with me for that?
"I think it's better to leave the topic. Because it's not my nature to blame a person for a long time for just one mistake."
"I want to know," Avika said.
"What a cool breeze. It's so nice. I love this cool breeze and having my love beside me while eating ice cream with her. I hope this time freezes here itself."
Avika looked at him and Samar hugged her.
"Now why are you silent?"
"I am sorry," Avika said.
"Avika, On that day you didn't disconnect the call and I heard what your friends said. When they said I was just lying to you that I am sick to make you come soon, you too trusted their words. They don't know what I am. But you know about me. I never lie to you. If you have said that I never lie to you, then I would have been happy. But your silence approved their words. I am not angry, but it's true that I don't like that kind of behavior. Come let's go to our home. It's getting late," Samar said.
Samar started the car. Avika felt bad for spoiling his mood. Throughout the drive to home, Samar didn't talk even a single word. Even after reaching home, he didn't talk to Avika. Silence is an invisible weapon to kill the loved ones. It hurts more than the harsh words. Enjoying the party may be a small thing, but doing that after knowing that he is sick led to big misunderstandings between them. Samar is really a very good person. Whether it's anger or hurting, he hides it in himself because he loves Avika so much.
Samar observed Avika. She laid on the bed, beside him calmly. Samar felt uncomfortable with her silence, but doesn't try talking to her as he is angry with her.
In the morning, Samar woke up and saw for Avika. She wore the sari which he gifted her for the engagement in the past. Samar understood that Avika planned something to convince him.
"Good Morning, Samar," Avika said with a smile.
"Good morning," Samar said very normally with no smile and a bit seriousness.
He went and got fresh up. She brought green tea for him.
"Tea," Avika said.
"I want ginger tea," Samar said.
"But you used to drink green tea every morning."
"Yes, but today I want to drink ginger tea. If you can't make it then it's ok. I will have it."
"No, no. I will bring ginger tea."
Avika gave tea and they all had breakfast. Samar behaved normally with her in front of his parents and sister.
"Samar, please come to the home today in the evening," Avika said.
"Actually I have a meeting today. I can't assure that I will come," Samar said.
"Oh," Samar noticed the disappointment in her tone.
"I can't assure that I won't come too," Samar said, confusing her.
"I didn't get you," Avika said.
Samar went near to Avika hiding his smile. He moved the forefinger from her forehead to lips. Avika shivered with his touch and then, he kissed in the air to confuse her.
"Your heart understands my words better," Samar replied and went off to his office.
Samar became busy with my work at office and his phone vibrated as Avika messaged him.
"Come to our farm house at 6 PM. I will be waiting for you my dear handsome hubby. I love you."
Samar smiled unknowingly seeing her message. Only then he noticed that Avika called him 10 times before the message. He kept his mobile in the chamber and went to the conference hall. However, Avika assumed that Samar was still angry with her and didn't receive the calls.
Avika got ready to go the farm house to surprise Samar and convince him.
"Mom," Avika said.
"Avika, tell me," Garima said.
"I-I have...some work. Can I go out for a while?" Avika said.
"Avika, I don't have objection to send you, but the last time Samar became angry as you are not at home when he came back from the office. So ask him or go after he comes back home," Garima said.
"Mom, he would not be angry this time," Avika said and bit her tongue as she revealed her plan.
Garima smiled at Avika.
"I got it. You can go," Garima said.
"Thank you, mom," Avika said.
Avika went to the farm house and decorated everything. She waited for Samar but he didn't come yet. He ignored her calls again. It was already 7:30 PM. Avika thought that he would not come, but her heart told that he will come. Avika was about to go and Samar came there.
"Hi," Avika said.
"Hi, are you leaving?" Samar said.
"No, no. Please come inside," Avika said.
"I think you don't have patience to wait for me. You can leave," Samar said, teasing her.
"No, I can wait for you. I may not have patience but I have love for you," Avika said.
Samar went inside and mesmerized with the decoration. The room was decorated with flowers and balloons. He saw the photos of their sweet moments pasted to the wall and letters "I Love You." He also saw red Rose petals in heart shape, and at the center, SORRY is written with pink rose petals.
"You go and get fresh up. I will bring something for you to eat," Avika said, giving him the formal clothes to change.
He got fresh up and went to her. She served his favorite food.
"You too sit and have dinner," Samar said.
Avika served Samar and opened another bowl for her. She started having the bitter gourds.
"What's that? What are you doing?" Samar said.
"If you get angry, you will ask me to eat bitter gourds. So I am doing that. From today until you forgive me, I will do all the household chores and everything you ask me to do."
Samar caught his head with her words. However, he was obsessed with her innocent efforts to make him forgive her.
"Did I ask you to do all these?"
"Last time when you were angry with me, you gave that punishment to me. So even now you are angry at me. So I thought of doing the same."
"Good! Are you going to do whatever I say to cool me?"
Avika nodded. Samar went to the kitchen and returned with a bowl of chilies.
"Eat," Samar said "Wh-wh-what??? I can't."
"You said you are ready to do anything to convince me. So now eat it."
"I will die if I eat those many chilies."
"I want to see to what extent you will go to convince me."
Samar sat on the chair observing her with a smile. However, he is just teasing her and would never hurt her.
Avika closed her eyes and took a chili to eat. She had one chili. Samar saw her shockingly as he didn't expect that she would eat the chili. She took one more chili to eat but Samar stopped her.
"Are you mad? Why are you doing whatever I say? Don't eat it. I am just teasing you. I am not angry with you," Samar said.
"Water...the chili is so spicy."
Samar gave water to her. She took the water and looked at him with a smile.
"Now why are you smiling?"
"Because your anger went off."
Samar pulled her closer and kissed her on the lips. He showed his love by kissing her. She closed her eyes and responded to him, forgetting her haunting past and horrible moments. They had dinner.
"I love you, Avika. I love you doesn't mean I will be angry with you for everything. I love you doesn't mean you have to do whatever I say. Yes, I felt a bit upset but I know how much you loves me. I just pretended to be angry to see your love. Now please smile and send away this worried expression from your face."
Avika smiled. This is what he wants. Samar can't be angry with her for a long time. He can't even act anger too. The small feeling that he had in his heart when she neglected him for her friends totally vanished now. Because it's just a very small mistake but her efforts are true and great to convince him. It proved that his feelings are more important for her. And her smile is more important for him.
They went home. Avika served food to their mom and dad. After completing her works she went to their room. She looked at me as I am staring at her.
"Do you want something?" Avika said.
"Yes."
"Tell me soon. I am so tired today. I want to sleep soon."
"I want...you," Samar said.
She threw a pillow at him, blushing for his words.
"I want to rest. The chili is so spicy. So, I will sleep immediately after getting fresh up. So you too sleep. No need to wait for me."
Avika came after some time and laid beside Samar. He slowly touched her back and then kissed it. She turned towards him. He touched her lips and kissed them. She hugged and kissed him on the cheek.
"I love you," Samar said.
"I love you, my dear husband," Avika said.
They slept cuddling each other and inviting the happiness of love that never fades and blesses them ever.
In the morning, Avika woke up and saw Samar getting ready.
"Good morning, Samar."
"Good morning, darling."
"Why didn't you wake me up? I think you are going so early to the office today."
"No. I am going on a business trip for two days. Early in the morning, I got the call. So I am getting ready."
Avika up from the bed shocking. She helped him in the packing and got ready as soon as possible. Maids didn't come yet as it's early morning 5 AM. Avika prepared breakfast for him and packed something to eat in the journey.
"Bye," Samar said.
Avika hugged him.
"Avika, look at me. It's just for two days. Don't be upset. I will call you from there. Please, don't worry. Otherwise I can't go leaving you."
"I will come with you."
"No, Avika. For those two days, I will be so busy with the work. If you come, you will get bore and will be annoyed at me. Please understand. Mom and dad are at home. It won't look good if you come like that with me leaving them."
"But I can't be without seeing you."
"Every day, at night, we will have a video call."
Avika nodded.
"Please smile, Avika. It's important. Otherwise I would not leaving you."
"Okay! All the best. Take care."
Avika felt it so hard without Samar. Finally, Samar returned. Avika gave him the clothes to change after the shower. She saw the scratches and injuries to his hand and the backside.
"Samar, what are these injuries? What happened to you?"
Samar didn't answer her immediately.
"It's just a small accident. Nothing to worry," Samar said wearing the shirt immediately.
"Why didn't you say that to me?"
"Because you will worry. I am fine. Don't worry much," Samar said.
On the next day, Avika read the newspaper and suddenly fainted, shouting loudly. Everyone worried for her. Akshara came and gave an injection to Avika. After some time, she regained conscious. She showed a photo in the newspaper to Samar which belongs to one of those brutes who made her life a hell. The news is that he was murdered by an unknown person yesterday. Samar saw a smile on Avika's face.
"They escaped from the police but was unable to escape from the God," Garima said, hugging Avika.
