Chapter 84 Chapter Eighty Four: "I Like Being Yours"

Chapter 84 Chapter Eighty Four: "I Like Being Yours"
(Lior's POV)

By the time I got home, I was exhausted.

The moment I stepped through the gate, I noticed Adrian's car parked outside. So he was here. I walked inside, kicked off my shoes, and headed upstairs.

When I pushed open the bedroom door, I found him lying across the bed.

He looked up.

The moment our eyes met, he opened his arms. I didn't even think about it, I just walked straight into them.

Adrian wrapped his arms around me and pulled me against his chest.

I smiled. “You came to see if I'll get home at one in the morning again?”

“No.” His voice was soft. “I just missed you.”

I lifted my head. “You weren't worried about my safety?”

“No.”

I blinked. “You weren't? What do you mean you weren't? I have a stalker.”

“You were with Anne and Aiden.” He brushed my hair away from my forehead. “I know you're safe with them. Those two can be unserious and playful, but they're very protective.”

“Really? So it's genetic, being protective, it's in your blood.”

“Yeah.” He replied, unsurprisingly not catching the intended joke.

I settled back against him.

For a few seconds, neither of us spoke. Then I thought about what happened at the store. Should I tell him or not? How would he react to knowing his siblings had been courting me?

“Uhm...” I started.

Adrian hummed.

“How do I say this?”

He looked down at me. “What happened?”

I hesitated, before blurting out “They were courting me.”

“Anne and Aiden.” I continued.

Adrian didn't move, his expression barely changed. He remained strangely calm.

“They told me today that they like me and have been competing for my attention.”

I waited for a reaction, but got nothing.

I narrowed my eyes. “You don't seem surprised.”

“I knew.”

I sat up. “You knew?”

“Yes.”

“Since when?”

“Since the trip to France.”

My mouth fell open. “Wow.” I stared at him in disbelief. “And you didn't think to say anything to me?”

Adrian shrugged. “There was no need to.”

“No need? You didn't think there's any need to tell me?”

“The ball was in your court.”

I frowned. “What does that mean?”

“It means the decision was yours.” His fingers traced slowly over my cheek. “Anne and Aiden can't take you from me unless you want them to.”

I stared at him. “So you just knew they were courting me and said nothing?”

“Yes.”

I couldn't believe my ears. “That is insane.”

“Perhaps.” He smiled. “Now tell me. What was your response?”

I looked away. “I told them I already have someone.”

Adrian's smile widened. “But?”

“I didn't tell them it was you. Our secret is safe.”

His expression softened further. He pulled me closer. “Really?”

I nodded.

Adrian was quiet for a moment.

Then he asked,

“You'd choose being a secret over being loved right?”

I looked at him. “What are you trying to say?”

“Anne and Aiden can give you everything I give you.” His voice remained calm. “They can take you out. Buy you things. Spend time with you. Give you a relationship you won't have to hide.”

I stared at him. “And you? Would you ever give me more?”

“I can only give you what we have now.” He brushed his thumb over my cheek. “A secret.”

I didn't know why hearing him say it hurt. I lowered my gaze. “I don't know why, but I would choose to remain your secret.”

Adrian didn't pressure me. He simply waited.

After a moment, I whispered,

“I guess I'm getting attached to you. I'd rather stay your secret than be anyone's sweetheart.”

Adrian looked at me, his arms tightening around me.

“I like being yours.” I added. And it was true to what I felt.

For a moment, he said nothing.

Then he pulled me tightly against his chest.

I buried my face in his neck. His scent wrapped around me almost immediately; familiar and safe.

“Do you know something?” Adrian murmured.

“What?”

“You're very difficult to share.”

I laughed softly.

“You're the one who said you weren't worried about me tonight.”

“I wasn't worried.” He kissed the top of my head. “I was jealous.”

I smiled. “Is there a difference?”

“A very important one.”

“What's the difference?” I asked, intending to tease.

“When I'm worried, I can't think.”

“And when you're jealous?”

“I think about stealing you away from everyone.”

I laughed. “That's not very mature.”

“I never claimed to be mature where you're concerned.”

I lifted my head. “You're ridiculous.”

“And you like me.”

I sighed. “Unfortunately.”

Adrian smiled. “Very fortunate.”

I stared at him for a while. Then I moved closer.

“Adrian?”

“Yes, baby?”

“Can you...” I hesitated. “Can you put me in that state?”

His expression changed immediately.

“The submissive state?”

I nodded. “Please? You said you could do it on purpose. Do it.”

Adrian studied my face. “If you're tired, you just need to sleep..”

“I know. I know. But do it.”

His fingers brushed through my hair. “You're sure?”

I nodded. “I just want to feel you, hear your voice, feel adored, and pampered. I want you to fill my head.”

Something softened in his eyes. “Come here, baby.”

I settled against him.

Adrian held me close, his scent slowly surrounding me.

The tension in my body began to loosen, my thoughts became quieter, the exhaustion I'd been carrying all evening finally seemed to catch up with me.

I closed my eyes. There's a lot of thoughts running through my mind, and I wanted him to silence everything with his presence in my head.

I just wanted to be Adrian's Omega. I didn't care if I couldn't be his outside our bedroom, I get to be in his arms like this, and that was enough.
