I can’t believe how beautiful it is here, the fact that I missed all this just because I was the reliable one the one that didn’t drink and I had to look after all my friends that was so drunk they couldn’t even stand on two legs. But life has given me a second’s chance and a second chance at love and at this gorgeous few, I’m taking nothing for granted. The way Benji makes me feel, I can’t describe it in words he just gives me this warm feeling in my heart and I love it. When he made the pinky promise that he would never cheat on me it was so sweet and I believed him. “So, you up for going for some breakfast?” He asked me “In town?” I asked surprised because Hannelie works in town. “Off course in town where else?” “Yes, I’m good with that.” I wasn’t going to be that person that brings up someone he clearly doesn’t want to talk about.
He took my hand, we said good bye to Suzie and got in the Ferrari. I knew as soon as we were on an open road he would push the petrol and we will be flying again. But as soon as we hit the open road, he didn’t push the petrol he was actually going at a normal speed. “Where is the speed freak this morning?” I asked smiling at him “He’ll come out when we go back home but for now let’s just cruise and enjoy the view shall we.” “I don’t mind at all.” We drove into town and stopped in front of a small cafe; it looked so cute. Benji told me to stay in the Ferrari he was going to open my door for me. He walked around the car and open the door; he extended his hand to me helping me to get out of the Ferrari. “Thank you.” We walked hand in hand into the small café; the waiter asked us where we wanted to sit and Benji chose a table with a view it was just the street but, in the distance, you could see the ocean. “What can I bring you to drink?” he asked. “Latte for my fiancé here and a black Americano for me.” “Right away sir.” I was a bit shocked that he threw out the fiancé part so casually. “fiancé?” I asked him “Aren’t you, my fiancé?” “Well technically you haven’t asked yet.” “Well technically that is true I haven’t.” “So does that mean you are not going to ask and we are going to just stick to the fact that it has to happen?” I asked him because come on everyone wants a romantic engagement. “I’ll have to think about that one.” My face must have dropped because he quickly said, “I’m not saying I’m not going to ask you.” “Oh” I said with a smile on my face again. The waiter came back with my latte and Benji’s Americano. “Can I get you something to eat?” “Can you give us 10 minutes we haven’t decided yet.” Benji asked him “No problem.” Benji gave me the menu and we both looked through it “Do you know what you want?” he asked me after a while “Yes the Southampton please.” “Best choice I’m going to have that to.” “Did you have it before?” “I did and it was delicious.” He put his hand in the air and called the waiter ordering 2 of the Southampton which consist of Antibiotic free roasted turkey, brie with herbs, honey mustard, lettuce and tomato on a warm French bread. My mouth actually watered as I read the menu. “Thank you.” Benji said to the waiter before he left.
My face was facing the door when I saw Hannelie walked into the café, she ordered something and then she stood there looking around probable looking for someone she knows then her eyes land on me and she saw Benji’s back. She started to make her way over to us “Heads up Benji Hannelie is on her way over.” “Fuck” he said under his breath. He just took a sip of his coffee like nothing was happening when Hannelie stood at our table. “Benji so nice to see you twice in two days how lucky am I?” she said smiling at him totally ignoring me. “Well, I am here with my fiancé so I won’t say you are that lucky.” She looked over at me and gave me a grin and then looked back at Benji. “Move over then I can sit with you.” The look on Benji’s face was one I didn’t want directed at me. “Hannelie there is no reason for you to join us so if you would please leave us, I would appreciate it.” “Come on Benji don’t be like that.” “It’s Benjamin and if you don’t leave right now, I’m calling the manager to remove you.” “They won’t I’m one of their best customers.” “You wanne bet I haven’t used my surname yet neither did I used my fiancés so please don’t test me.” My surname why would he use my surname we are not known in these parts of the world. She ignored him grab a chair and basically sit on his lap that is how it looked, she made me feel uncomfortable. “Excuse me for a minute.” I said. The look on Benji’s face was one that said ‘Why are you running stay I need you’ But I walked straight to the manager.
“Excuse me are you the manager here?” “I am.” I don’t name drop often I mean in the Hamptons I’m sure they get that a lot but today I’m going to name drop. “Can you please assist me.” “Off course what do you need?” “Well see this is a delicate situation, my fiancé Benjamin Devon.” “From the Devon family with the biggest house in the Hamptons.” “Yes, exactly that one, now you see Hannelie apparently she’s a very good customer of yours.” “She is.” “Well, she’s making my fiancé and me uncomfortable we didn’t invite her to sit with us but still she pulled up a chair and is basically sitting on MY FIANCE’S lap.” I had to make it very clear that he was my fiancé. “Is it possible to discreetly take her away from our table?” “Yes, off course I’m on it.” I walked back to the table with a smile on my face. Not the same reaction I got from Benji.
