Keira and I walk into the ice cream store. There are four people in front of us. Keira looks at the fridge and to me. "I'm thirsty, Mom." "Get a bottle of water from the fridge." Keira walks over to the fridge and she pulls out a bottle of water. She holds the bottle out to me. I take it from her. I check the label before opening it. She takes a sip of water. It spills down her dress and makes a puddle on the floor. I pull out a towel from my bag and I wipe up the mess. A girl steps out from behind the counter. "I got it, Madame." I put the towel back in my bag. She mops the floor and puts up the wet floor sign. Keira and I step around the sign as the line moves forward. Keira stands on her tippy toes and she looks through the display window for the ice cream. "I want chocolate ice cream, Mommy." She points at it. I step next to her. "You will have it soon. I'm going to get you a small cup." The girl that cleaned the floor walks over to us. "What can I get you?" Keira looks at the ice cream again. "Chocolate ice cream." "A small cup, please and for me I will have vanilla." The girl picks up two small containers and puts the ice cream on it. I give the money to Kiera and she stands in front of the till. "That will be $4.95." The girl takes the money off the counter. "Thanks." She counts the money before putting it in the till. I take the ice cream off the counter and walk outside with Kiera. We find a bench and sit. I give Kiera the container and she starts to eat it. When we have finished our ice cream I pull out baby wipes. I clean her hands and face. Keira and I walk back to the car. At the car, I see a black limo parked behind it and there's a bunch of guys in suits. I put on my sunglasses and walk over them. "Can you please move the car?" "I'm sorry, miss. We can't do that until our boss is ready to leave." I look at the limo and I see it moving. I can't believe I was ever with his guy. I'm not going to wait for him to finish his next conquest. I wrap on the window and it winds down. Hayden looks at me and smirks. "What can I do for you sweetheart?" I cross my arms. "Move your car. I have places I need to be and you're blocking me in." He looks at my car. "Oh," he laughs. "I will get someone to move the limo when I'm ready to go. I hope you enjoy the limo rocking." He opens the door. "You could join us." "No, thanks." I've been there and done that. It was the worst mistake of my life, but the best thing about us being together is the little angel waiting in the car for me. I open the door. "Keira we have to stay here a little longer. No one's going to move the limo." Keira yells. "I want to go home, Mommy. I'm tired." She starts to scream. The window from the limo pulls down and Hayden looks at me. "Was that a child screaming?" "Yes, it was. Will that make you move your car?" "Can someone move the car? I didn't know she had a kid with her." He mutters. "I hate kids. I don't know why people have them." I wrap my arms around Kiera and pull her closer to me. She wraps her arms around my legs. "That man's mean, mommy." Yes, he is. The limo moves forward. I pick Kiera up and carry her to the car. I put her in the car seat and buckle her up. I shut the door before rounding the car and climbing into the driver's seat. I pull the car out of the parking spot. At the apartment, I unlock the door. Keira and I enter the house. I place the bag of groceries on the table. I will put everything away soon. First I need to hang up our swimwear. I put the swimwear and towels under the tap before I hang them on the line. Keira walks onto the balcony with two Barbies and she sits on the ground. She talks to them. She's so cute when she plays like that. I just wished that she had a sibling to play with. I sigh. "Keira, do you want to help me make a cake?" She nods. "Yes, Mommy." She leaves the folks on the ground and she runs over to me. I lift her up. "What kind of cake should we make?" She yells. "Chocolate." I walk into the kitchen and I put her on the bench. She kicks her legs. I pull out all the dishes that I need and set them on the table. I turn on the oven and then put the cake mix on the table. Pulling out the ingredients I need for the cake, I set them on the table. I put the contents of the mix into the bowl. I crack two eggs and add milk to the mix. I give Kiera the egg beater and she beats the mixture. After a couple of goes, she drops her hand. "My arms a sore, Mommy." I take over. "You did good, sweetheart." I grease the tin and put the mixture in it. I put the tin in the oven and set the timer. I scoop my finger in the bowl and I bring my finger to mouth and I suck the mixture off my finger. I tip the bowl. "You can have some. Copy me." I put my finger into the bowl again. Kiera follows my movement and she helps me lick the bowl. When the mixture is gone, Kiera is covered in chocolate. "I'm going to give you a bath before I make dinner." I look at her. "Do you want chicken fingers?" She nods. "Chicken fingers, yummy in my tummy." I laugh. Kids say the cutest things. "Do I have to go to school tomorrow?" I put her on the ground and turn the tap on in the bathroom. "Yes, you do. Mommy has to go to work. How about next weekend we go to Disneyland?" "Yes," she hugs me. "Love you." I take her dress off and I kiss her messy cheek. "I love you too, sweetheart." I feel the temperature of the water before I place Kiera in the bathtub. Kiera looks at me. "I want my dolls, Mommy." "I will get them. I want you to stay in the hallway while I get them." She takes my hand and I close the bathroom door. I lock the door before I walk into the balcony and pick up her dolls. When I return with the dolls I see Kiera leaning against the door. I unlock the door and we enter the bathroom. I put her in the bath and she plays with her dolls. I pick up a container and fill it with water. I pour the water overhead.
