Chapter 29 THIS IS NOT OVER
Curtis' POV
I got in my car, slammed the door shut, and sat around the steering wheel quizzically. What the hell did I just waltz into? My girlfriend, Sianna, and my Alpha? This must be a fucking nightmare. I must have imagined it all. I laughed hysterically like a hyena. She had the impudence to accuse me of cheating when she was having a relationship with my bloody Alpha.
That night, she was going to the Alpha. She got sexy for him! She was avoiding me because of him. She.....I leaned my head on the steering wheel, she was sneaking around with him.
Damn, this can't be right! Obviously, I have gone mad. I must be seeing things.
When did everything go wrong? I gave her my time and I never treated her badly. She didn't even have the nerve to tell me she was with him. She acted as if the reason was because I found my mate when she already mated with the fucking Alpha.
He is a man that I cannot challenge for her. I am just a warrior. I'd be like an ant against a giant. I want to talk to her but he conveyed the message to stay away from Sianna. Not to mention, he claimed her. The mark she wore is an indication that she has accepted that person as your mate.
I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it. Sianna belongs to me! I had her first. How could she mate with someone else, barely months after returning home from college? Since when was this going on? Myriad thoughts bombarded my mind.
My silly misconceptions of her being loyal, faithful, and devoted got me hooked on her. She was wife material. Wolves mated for life and stayed devoted to their mates, which should have been me and her. But she tossed all of our history away, like it was junk.
They were so damn lovey-dovey when I got to the office. Practically fucking on the table in front of everyone, making me a fucking laughing stock.
He knew I would be over to have a word with him. I was going to explain that I wasn't hurting Sianna. We were only arguing. I need to talk to her before I tip over the edge.
I opened my mind-link to reach Sianna but it was futile. With trembling hands, I took out my phone and dialed her number. "Hello" Her voice was unwelcoming. "I knew that you were going to call me."
"Babe, what's going on? I feel confused." I told her, fighting the rage within me.
"The Alpha is my mate and he marked me." She spoke cruelly.
"When?" I questioned but being careful not to make her angry, or she might hang up the phone. It was bad enough when she blocked me before. Thank goddess that she answered the call.
"The same night you made out with your mate!" She snarled, "You are not innocent. You cheated and lied to me!"
"I was going to explain everything to you. Why didn't you wait for me to explain?" My voice cracked in the end. The crippling pain in my heart increased.
"The picture was self-explanatory." She stated. "Honesty was important to us. You broke that and then you were unfaithful." "So this is my fault?" Hated for Jazmine fizzed. Anger for his father amassed. Vengeance towards the Alpha surfaced. "It was the fucking mate bond, and she was taking the rejection badly. I-I explained all of this at the hospital."
"Yes," She sighed. "Betrayal is unforgivable and you have been encouraging her. You haven't rejected her."
"I told you that I would do it now. I'll go to her pack and reject her this minute and come back to you." He hoped that his dedication to let go of Jazmine would stir her back to wanting to be with him.
"It's too late, Curtis." She sobbed. "You hurt me."
"So is this really the end?" Don't say yes, please say we can work it out. I chanted in my head.
"Things with Vance went fast. Since we mated the bond has become stronger and I can't fight it. I don't want to give him up. She caught her breath. "I have real feelings for him now.........damn Curtis! This is hard for me too but when I gave myself to Vance there was no turning back."

I hit the steering wheel repeatedly to release the pivoting anger. I was losing her. She was everything I desired in a mate. "Sianna," I whispered her sweet name. "You are taking my world from me. It's impossible not to see you with him here. It will destroy me. Please, don't do this."
"My only advice is to go to Crimson Hyde Pack and spend some time with your mate. She can help you heal. Don't do anything stupid."
Heal? I almost forgot about her ability. Alpha Vance was only using her. He chose her because he must have discovered her power. Why can't she see that he doesn't love her? He'll most likely knock her up quickly to secure his bloodline. Moon Goddess, open her eyes and bestow upon her wisdom, please!
"So you are pushing me into Jazmine when she was the problem in the first place!" Tears formed in my eyes. I have never cried for anything or anyone before. This heartbreak was worse than any physical pain that existed.
"She's right for you, just give the bond time to form." She uttered flatly. "I have to go inside to Vance before he overhears us talking."
"I fucked up when I kissed her but it was just one moment of weakness. Just one time!">
"And she made sure the entire world saw you as a couple when she posted you on her social media." She sounded miffed. "Based on the so-called suicide plan that she concocted to get her way with you, she was bound to be problematic and you were going to allow her to come between us with that drama shit that I don't need!"
She hung up and I felt like throwing away the phone and smashing something. I drove to my parent's home, left my car in the garage, shifted into my brown wolf, and went running.
I took a step back while I gave my wolf full control. A battering headache had formed from my overthinking.
My wolf ran for hours. Twigs and branches that broke off while he was running carelessly brushed against his fur. I was being insubordinate by leaving the territory without authorization. I was going to be in hot water when I got back.
If I were to return, being around Sianna would be the absolute last thing I could do. There was no care left in the world for me. My aspirations and dreams were flushed down the toilet. The void left a chasm that was deeper than the ocean.
My wolf came to a stop and defensive troops came forward. "Who are you and what's your purpose here?"
I peeked mentally at my surroundings through my wolf's eyes. Shit! This damn wolf took me into another territory. Wolves cannot wander freely without getting permission from the Alpha whose land it was. I'd be imprisoned until my identity was cleared and of no threat. My wolf persistently took me to my mate's pack. The patent sign with the words "Crimson Hyde". "Shift" One of them commanded. I obeyed and placed both palms over my manhood to cover it. "Who are you?"
"My name is Curtis Black, I am from Dark Wolverson and I came to see my mate, Jazmine Wilson. You can verify with my Alpha and yours." I stood in this awkward position cursing my wolf.
He ignored me 'This is where you need to be'.
The patrol senior's eyes glazed over and I waited until he completed his mind-linked conversation before getting back to me." Give us a few minutes. The Alpha is confirming your information. Do you have an identity?"
Who asks a naked man for identification? Fucking idiot! "No, sorry." The guy circled me. It was protocol and I knew it too well. I had done this training too. "Do you have an extra bottom so I could cover up?"
"We could provide that once you check out." His eyes glazed over again and I hoped that I would be granted access soon. Standing butt naked with a group of men surrounding me was uncomfortable.
Maybe Sianna was right about me coming here to see Jazmine. The man went to talk to another patrol guy at the security stall and got a sweatpants for me to put on. As I got clothed and finished getting instructions, my red-haired mated ran into my arms and kissed my lips sending sparkle and tingles through my body and my cock hardened. I smiled and faked happiness, even though I felt like shit.
The one thing I knew for sure is that, this was not over.
