Chapter 109 EPILOGUE
Ten years later...............
SIANNA'S POV
"Luna," the principal frowned as she explained the reason for this meeting, "Mr. Larry is the form teacher for our third-grade class, and at present, he is at the hospital."
nodded because I had an idea who put him there, "Which one was it?" Mom also contacted me about the ways that the teacher cursed in the operating room as they tried to peel the chair off him.
"This time it was Venus," the grayed-haired woman thinned her lips and informs me. "She placed glue on his chair so that it stuck to his ass when he sat to teach the class." She takes the glue bottle from her drawer as evidence of the act.
Composed and apologetic, I looked at her, "Mrs. Moretti, I will speak to my daughter and ensure that it never happens again."
She gave a faint smile, "Thank you, Luna."
"I will ensure that she sends him an I am sorry card and apologize to him in front of the class." There would also be a good scolding but there was no need to highlight that. "Is that all?"
"Yes, Luna," She closes the folder and I leave.
Walking down the corridor to exit the school, the two pranksters stood before me with their heads bowed. "Children."
"Yes, mother," Their insincere innocence was wiped from their faces with my unamused expression.
"Let us go home," I smiled at my lovely twins with eyes of fire.
"Yes, mother," They said in unison and laggard with their collective sighs of foreboding.
The drive home was silent. No radio was on, the windows rolled up with the air conditioner on and when I glanced in the rearview mirror, four green eyes nervously met mine.
Again I smiled at them, and they both looked away immediately because they knew the deep shit that they were in. They were guilty as sin.
By the time we got home and I pulled into the driveway, they tried to shoot to their rooms and I grabbed each by the collar. "Not so fast." I lifted both and seated them on the living room couch. "Now, Venus, why don't you tell me what happened to Mr. Larry?"
Tight-lipped they remained, exchanging glances as they spoke in a silent language. I gave my twins a stern stare-down as my firm voice resounded throughout our house. "Speak!"
They could tell I was extremely upset just by my authoritative tone. Their shamefaced eyes were unable to hold my gaze and I heard their heartbeats raised.
My little girl fumbles with her shorts and folds her lips over and then she blurted through her panic, "He punished Vaheed and I was getting him back."
"What did Vaheed do to warrant a punishment?" I looked at their pensive faces, with my raised brows and a creased forehead to see who would talk.
They knew it was time to look me in the eyes. If you were brave enough to do the crime, then you should be bold enough to do the time. Face the consequences of your actions with a courageous front.
"I locked Zach in the janitor's room," Vaheed confessed. As expected, he would willingly take all the penalties for his twin sister.
They have only caused issues at school since they started the third grade. Single-handedly, I dealt with their misbehavior each time, but it seemed that it was time to let their father in on their misconduct. Zack, for one, Vaheed has been teasing and taunting since he intentionally made Raina trip and bruised her knees. Raina is Hailey's daughter and the twins have been very protective of her. Quite frankly, I believe there is a little likening there but Vaheed refuses to admit it. Naturally, Venus supports him in whatever he does.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I think that Mr. Larry did not handle the situation properly and he embarrassed Vaheed in front of the entire class when he punished him." Venus defended. "Zack was the one hurting Raina and Vaheed defended her."
"Is that the best case that you can come up with?" I charged her. It was okay for them to have their voice once they can validly prove that their actions were justified. This was their little hearing." Vaheed bullied Zack and what have I taught you about bullying?"
"Bullying is wrong," they recited simultaneously.
"As children of the High Alpha family, you are expected to set examples for others to follow. This little vigilante act stops today."
"Mother," Vaheed was quick to butt in, "It was wrong to do that to Mr. Larry and it will not happen again." His eyes shifted to his sister, giving her the chance to agree. "But Zack should leave Raina alone." "There were better ways to handle the situation. I will speak to the school as well as to Zack's parents and deal with it," I said in finality, I was not going to condone this type of mischief. "Under no circumstances must I hear of you two causing further trouble. Am I understood?"
"Yes, Luna." They swallowed hard and again, they agreed in concert.
"Go to your rooms and freshen up for dinner. And I want you to think about what you could have done differently." I shook my head and went into the kitchen. "I will decide your punishment later."
My children have become a handful. Valen is now ten years old. Vance and I had twins two years later, as planned, and gave birth to Venus and Vaheed. Vance spoils Venus since she is his only girl child. In the mornings before going to the pack house, he assists me with the children and keeps being involved. So I know that he would like to know about the misconduct of his twins, but for now, I will handle it because I think he has enough on his plate.
Life in our pack has been good with minor challenges encountered. Most of the heavy work came from overseeing the other packs and arbitrating on serious grounds. Vance travels frequently between the packs. Treasonous behavior is no longer an issue and we employed swift and gruesome punishment to deal with it. We learned our lesson about being too lenient. The Rogue Integration System continues. Additional land has been given to some packs because of their increase in numbers. Only messages from the council raise my
concerns.
Hailey and Raj welcomed their daughter, Raina, three months before I had the twins. Nitya is a member of our pack since tremendous progress was made with Hailey. Today, they are so close that Raj feels like the third wheel when Nitya visits the pack house. She dotes on her granddaughter, which fostered that serene and authentic bonding with Hailey. I'm relieved and happy for them.
While Keisha and Duke named their son, Devin. Tara and Brody have
a little girl, Azara. Zoe is seventeen now, and plans to go away for college. Cleo and Blayne also had twin boys, namely, Theo and Thaines. Blayne opposes Zoe being away from the central area for college. He fears that boys will start to notice her and he's extra protective. He acts worst than the way that Duke was with Hailey.
Nyx, the lion, resides with us. He's quite intelligent and obedient and blends in with the family. He is like our pet. On the other hand, Zuzu, the bald eagle, gets a bit stubborn and likes to have a mind of her own until Valen gives her a command. We had to give Valen a larger room because of his guardians. I ordered a custom-built cat bed and created a small area in the room for Nyx to have. Zuzu has her perch and play stand to rest indoors.
Valen is the spitting image of his Dad. His training with Marlena is going well as he learns spells and to control his powers, while Vance has taken priority to begin his training as Alpha. Though the pack is aware of the two guardians, Zuzu is allowed to roam freely while Nyx remains invisible amid others.
It's nice to wake up to my mate every morning. His sexual prowess has not diminished over the years. In fact, he seems more energized these days. The sex dungeon remains where it is and we kept that room off-limits to the children. It is soundproof and utilized when the kids are asleep or when we send them for sleepovers with their grandparents.
In a nutshell, the world tried to break us but we continue growing
strong and overcoming it. I'm thankful for the beautiful life and love that we share. It comes with battles and numerous problems to combat but together we face everything.
Goddess knows that I have had my share of regrets, but redemption
is always in what we do after the mistakes. It's about learning the lesson that life teaches us and turning things around for the good of our destiny. I am content with my life and wouldn't want it any other
way.
VANCE'S POV
Three days ago, a STC gatekeeper delivered an urgent message to my
office. We arrived at the medieval mansion at the break of dawn as
my chopper landed in the wide meadow. The structure, which was
perched on the edge of a cliff, featured flying external buttresses, and stained-glass windows emphasized by ribbed vaults and spires. Entering a hallway of long pointed arches before arriving at the meeting room, the long heavy curtains blocked out the natural sunlight to deliver a serious and somber tone to it. The room had
wall moldings and intricate wood carvings in wall accents, ornate pieces, and gargoyles at the fireplace.
Two people were seated around the square table, while the female and I pulled our chairs and sat down. Already there was a hint of uneasiness in the air, and I realized the reason based on the way that this conversation was going. The council seemed to want to blame a lot of what was transpiring on my wolves.
Duke who stood beside me, could sense my apprehension. He was angry but could not articulate it, and drew in a deep long breath. "Two of my mystical crystals are missing and the oracle reveals that
wolves stole them." Ophelia the Witch Queen accused, "Also, the dragon king reported to me that three dragon eggs have gone missing."
"Not to mention my great great grandfather's Maacah scepter was
robbed a few days ago," Vampire King Alucard voiced in a hard tone.
"Alucard, are you accusing my wolves of stealing your scepter as well?" I snapped, while my expression immediately turned grim, and then to the witch. "Or the dragon eggs?"
Alucard glares at me and I calmly snickered. "We have a bigger problem than just your wolves. These criminals are up to something
major. All these items consist of great power."
"Has anything gone amiss in your pack, Wolverson?" Ophelia inquired in a low tone so as not to offend me.
A quick exchange between me and Duke provided my answer, "No.
However, it does not mean that they will graciously pass me by unless I don't have anything that they want." "The Coyolxauhqui stone of your moon goddess is one relic that
would attract these thieves." Ophelia sharply emphasized, “So I would guard it carefully, if I were you, Wolf King."
"The one good thing about this is that these items can only be used
by someone of our bloodline. This gives us time to hunt them down and catch them." Alucard said.
"Wouldn't your oracle knows who these culprits are?" I asked with
an attitude intended to elicit an honest response. "Surely, a powerful
seer like yours should be able to give us some direction about who we are hunting."
"I hear your problems and the only concern that I have is about my humans. Are my people safe from the troubles of your realms?" Cardinal Roman finally spoke, as he rested his chin on the 'v' of his thumb and index finger.
"Until we truly understand their objectives, we cannot confirm that." Ophelia replied, "And my oracle is working hard to find the thieves." She sighed and cautiously related, waiting for us to come at
her, "What I gathered is that a set of my witches stole your scepter, Alucard." "Wolves and witches are disturbing the order!" Alucard boomed unnecessarily. We are all powerful on our own to not be perturbed by his aura. "Humph!"
"Don't be in such haste to write off your vampires," Ophelia argued
with a tight smile. "Let me remind you that four months ago your vampire began attacking humans."
"That set of rogues has been cleaned up from the past month." He rolled his eyes and drawled scornfully, "No need to bring up old news."
In the center of the table, Ophelia projected a screen that showed the
faces of the rogue wolves and witches who had done the crimes." Gentlemen, please place your attention here." We memorized each criminal as new intel unfolded.
"What could Vampires want with the dragon eggs?" I didn't resist the urge to throw that one at Alucard, giving him a dry chuckle. "The
fact is that all manner of troubles are fermenting and popping up among our kinds."
Alucard grimaced and retorted, "I can't wait to serve them up a heinous bowl of pain when they are caught." "They have gone into hiding but each one of us should be on guard
and tighten security within our territories." Ophelia reminded as she worked her magic, scoping through the maps of the earth. "There," she pointed to an underground area. "I suggest we begin our hunt here." "Were the STC Gatekeepers dispatched?" Cardinal Roman inquired. He could not contribute much to the supernatural ongoings but as humans were a large population on the same planet that we all cohabitated, having one of their representatives fostered peace for the greater good.
The Supernatural Triad Council (STC) arranged two members from each side to be gatekeepers. They are dispatched based on the severity of the crime, once all council members agree to assign them
to a mission.
"Not yet," I mentioned, "The purpose of this meeting is to call our curators and brief them on this assignment."
I pressed the large red button beside me, and eight shadowed forms
walked into the room, standing at the back. "Welcome gatekeepers." They acknowledged, "Greetings your excellencies." Ophelia was the most talkative of the group, so she naturally briefed the gatekeepers on the mission and gave them a timeline to
apprehend these renegades.
"Retrieving these objects supersedes everything else," Alucard imperiously advised them. "Execute on sight if needed."
"Do not underestimate the groups, they could be working together or for the same mastermind. Report to us within twenty-four hours." I commanded and gave a short gaze on Liam and Donovan, my two elite wolves who I have chosen to be gatekeepers. They all nodded and militantly exited the room. "Are there any other matters to be discussed?" Roman asked. We exchanged glances with a shake of the head. "Good," He rose from his seat, "I'll be able to make it home on time for my twentieth
anniversary."
"Congratulations," I was at the doorway by now, "Take care everyone." Duke and I boarded the chopper, heading home to our families. There was not much that we could do except dispatch the gatekeepers to find the criminals and retrieve the relics. Being on the council caused me to be in the middle of everything occurring on this
globe. Rogues who target with reasoning usually have a master villain in the background. It was apparent that the witches and wolves collaborated, and if vampires were involved, I believed that they
were sure to attack my pack. If they did, my suspicions would be
confirmed.
"Those fucking rogues are no less Hank's bastards." Duke remarked as he reasoned things aloud, "They must be working together with the witches. It was the only way to get past their barrier and into the coven undetected."
"The rogues are my concern, they should not have gotten in this mess." I felt stubbles on my chin, thinking that I needed a shave. Sianna reminded me this morning, but I could not get it done due to this meeting.
"I was close to giving that damn Vamp a piece of my mind." Duke clenched his fist. "He was hypocritical to act as though his vampires don't give us enough trouble as it is. They act like they own the damn
planet."
I chuckled because I thought he would have lost his cool in the room, "Without his scepter, their power would be significantly reduced, unlike the witches who always have other resources. Alucard was
maintaining a front."
Duke scoffed, crackling his knuckles with the need to punch something, "It would be a good day to take out a Vampire King."
"Let's hope that the gatekeepers do their job well. Ophelia is tracking the crystals." I held back my amusement and informed him. "I do
not doubt that this will be resolved soon."
"Someone has a big goal," Duke sneered with anger rumbling in his throat. "I'll be damned if they get our Coyolxauhqui stone." "Many things have happened and we have controlled and dealt with
them." I looked down at the micro view of the landscape below me." Surely, we will do the same with this one." With an obnoxious flash, his phone began to vibrate. On the screen, his son's name appeared. Curving his lips into a smile, he answered, retaining none of the earlier bitterness in his tone. I zoned out in my thoughts as he carried on his phone conversation. All that I needed was my Luna. I absolutely hated traveling away
from my family. If I had to rely on public air, I think that I might have gotten upset at these meetings. But having my private resources assisted with the commute, and soon I would be home.
As I strolled into the house, I heard my darling Firecat singing in the kitchen as she prepared dinner. Moving closer to get a better view, I surreptitiously observed her moving about with the oven mitts on her hands, and my heartbeat increased. I adored this beautiful goddess. Ten years had passed and she didn't look a day older. I remember the cute way that she tried to reject me on the day we realized that we were mates, and look at us now. We couldn't get enough of each other. I have no regrets about the decisions that I
have made in my life.
"Mom, Dad is ogling you again!" Valen exclaimed as he zipped past
me into the kitchen with Nyx following right behind. He dips his
hand into the dish of sticky ribs and munches on it.
Sianna tried to slap his hand away but missed, and gave him a stern
eye. "Valen, we talked about this."
He pouts and acts like his feelings were hurt. "Son, you are sweaty from training, go and grab a shower. By that
time, dinner will be ready." I walked over to my Luna and gave her a mind-boggling kiss. Wrapping my arms around her waist, I pulled her closer to me. Obsessed with her kisses, touches, and feeling her body against mine.
She smiles and removes her mitts and hugs me around the neck."
How is everything with the council?"
"The usual," I just came home and didn't want to get too much into
work. "But I am more concerned about my favorite lady." "Which one?" She teased, pecking kisses on my face. The other lady
in this case would be my daughter Venus.
"Beautiful blue eyes, wavy black hair with plump cherry lips to die
for," I paused to add my naughty line, "And she's making me hard
right now."
"Oh that one," she muttered sarcastically, pressing her lips together. "I think I know her."
"Yeah?" I kissed her neck, "She's amazing, isn't she?" "Yes, I heard that she's the best," She grins and continued to jeer
me. "Come and help to set the table." She winks at me and licks her lips after saying, "After dinner, you can have your Luna to yourself.” We broke apart so that Sianna and I could place the dishes on the dining table. The kids came downstairs and I squinted my eyes at Valen. I was thinking that his shower was rather quick but I said nothing as he grinned. They got in their customary chairs and I sat watching them share their meal, and chatter about their day.
"How about a family run after dinner?" Valen suggests, patting
Nyx's head. We were almost done eating. "Sure, sounds good," I said, taking my last bite. Venus and Vaheed exchanged weird glances with their mother.
"What's going on?" My skeptical antenna was erected high.
Something was definitely suspicious.
They both held their heads down as Sianna explained, "They are
grounded." "Why?" I asked, their guilty faces looked as though they wanted the
earth to open up and swallow them. No one answered, so in my alpha
tone I repeated, "Why?"
"Mom, can we go to our room? I'm full." Vaheed got from his chair
and rushed upstairs.
"Me too," Venus said and dashed right behind him.
"I guess that I should go too," Valen thinned his lips and excused
himself, not wanting to witness his father blowing steam.
Sianna gave me that look-what-you-did expression, and I scoffed, thinking that I did not do a damn thing. Throwing my napkin on the table, I decided to go and have a talk with the twins. Knowing the trouble that they could create once they put their cunning little brains to work, I dread the disaster. Before I could open Vaheed's door, Sianna caught my hand, dragging me to our bedroom. "What did they do?" I'm stuck on the same question that no one is willing to answer. "That's all I want to know."
"Babe, I handled it," She says undoing my shirt and removing it from my body.
"Seriously, please tell me," Trying to be stern at this moment was
relatively difficult with her running her hands over my bare chest. The sparks and tingles fumbled with my coherent thoughts.
She kissed down the flat hard muscles of my abdomen and the smooth arc of my hipbone, then came back to my mouth. Sucking on
the tip of my tongue to drive me wild. Creating a jar of excitement in me as she massaged her tongue with mine and repressed my protest. Without a doubt, I desired her, and inevitably, that would come later. No. This woman will not deter me from giving those kids a good lecture. I had to know what issues the twins had caused. Breaking the kiss, I grabbed her hands, "Sianna, this........."
"Baby, let mama give you some sugar." Her words and the demand
in her sexy tone surprised me to the point that she slipped her hands
out of my grasp. I felt her hunger and need. Next, she unzips my pants and takes out my member and.......oh my!
