Chapter 115 BONUS CHAP. 22 - SOMETHING SPECIAL
\-CLEO'S POV-
"Hello, Gamma Female. My name is Malik." He bowed, "Gamma Blayne instructed me to deliver this to you."
In his hands was a large brown enclosed cardboard box. He raised his hands and I took it. Zoe tiptoed inquisitively, thinking that would have been enough height to help her to see what was inside. I chuckled.
"Thank you, Malik." The box was heavier than Malik made it seem." Has Blayne returned?"
"No ma'am. He is out of territory with the Alpha." Malik politely replied and delved into his shirt pocket to hand me a card. "This is my number, alongside two of our Senior Elites. We are here to serve you should you need anything until our Gamma returns."
"Zoe, honey, could you take the card for me?" I peered down at her and she obeyed.
Malik smiled at her and bowed to me. "Gamma Cleo." Once his head was raised, he disappeared in a split-second flash.
I closed the door with my right foot and went to the long leather couch with Zoe sitting opposite me. My pinkie nail punctured the tape and slit open the top of the box.
"Hurry, Mommy," Zoe enthusiastically kneeled on the couch to look over the box.
"Patience Zoe. I'm doing the best that I can." I removed the
overlapping slots and a purple and white greeting card with daisies was on top of everything.
I opened the card and read:
Hi Cleopatra,
Jack and I were so happy when the Royal Gamma appeared on our doorsteps. Knowing that you are alive and well fills our hearts with joy.
We managed to keep some memoirs after your parents died. We thought that one day you might return to our pack and we'd give these to you.
Our number is at the bottom. Please call us as soon as possible. We would love to visit you.

Zoe and I went through the entire box. She got a box of tissues from the restroom and consistently had to wipe my springing tears.
"Mommy, please don't cry." Zoe kept comforting me and patting my back, similarly to the way that I would soothe her. "Don't be sad."
"I'm okay, sweetie. All of these bring back memories of my parents." I strived not to sound cracky. "They meant the world to me."
There were two photo albums, my grade reports, life insurance documents, a small green jewelry box, my favorite teddy, though it was tattered and missing one eye, and a flash drive. My parents were facilities Omegas who aimed to keep our family unit tight and to create our own happiness within the pack. Dad was one to come up with the weirdest traditions to uphold. Mom loved him for it.
My mother's light laugh, lovely smile, and crystal green eyes will always remain in my memory. I swear I can nearly smell her honeysuckle scent, hear her gentle sweet voice and feel her warm, adoring embraces.
Then there was my Dad's warm smile, sea-green eyes, and musky vetiver, earthy aroma all stuck in my mind, smelling like home. That feeling is one I haven't had in a very long time. Unt.................Blayne...
I let go of the breath I felt like I had been holding on for such a long time as I closed my eyes, wiped the tears from my face, and opened them again. I suppose that occasionally we all just need to cry.
Unfortunately, the alpha's son's eyes caught me. Our lives became a nightmare. He grew obsessed with me. Nobody could stop him from inflicting the kind of harm he perpetrated on me. He used me as his plaything, and I suffered criticism and contempt for it. When he found his mate, he became angry and unleashed his wrath on me. Had it not been for my fast healing abilities, I would probably have died from the daily torment. It was like he blamed me for not being his mate. I blinked those unpleasant recollections away.
It's been years since I wallowed as a victim. After the young alpha's death, I felt that justice was served and decided to be a strong survivor. Hence, I dedicated my time to helping especially other women to be the same. It was our responsibility to be stronger because no one was going to give us a cloak of strength to wear, that was not the way life operated.
Later, I prepared dinner for us. After that, I grabbed Blayne's laptop from his small home office and inserted the flash drive. Zoe was in her bedroom playing with her stuffed animals.
I was watching the old sentimental family video clips. This was a spectacular gesture that Blayne made for me. I felt reconnected to my family.
The other clips were not what I expected. They were graphic depictions of Alpha Richard Kryme's cruelty in the Venomane Kryme Pack. This was an S.O.S. Aunt Sora was crying out for help. Later, I browsed the documents which showed illegal operations and I cringed at what my parents, friends, and relatives had to endure while I ran away for survival.
To think that the younger Alpha's brother would be a better ruler with so many new werewolf laws implemented. Yet, they sustained their barbaric rule to subjugate his own pack members. These clips and documents were evidence to advocate for Alpha Vance's intervention. Something had to be done, and as the Gamma Female, I was going to do something about it.
My blood boiled. This was going to be discussed with Blayne when he got home. I plan to liberate the Venomane Kryme Pack of its tyrant
leaders.
Next, my blood pressure skyrocketed. An email came in and opened up. Astonished, my eyes rounded and blinked furiously as the clip played. A stabbing pain developed in my chest at the thought of
Blayne with this woman.
So, this was Darlene again.
