93. Melting Into The Water

93. Melting Into The Water

“I should have never agreed to come here today.” The chairwoman flung her purple shawl over her shoulder. “If I stayed home, I wouldn’t have to hear these lies being poured into my ears.”

Antonio paused the video. Aaron turned to her. “Madeline, please.”

“Y-you can’t expect me to just sit here,” Madeline stuttered. “Can’t you-”

“This is not the way a member of the Council is supposed to behave. I’ll kindly ask you to behave professionally. We have an image to maintain.”

Madeline sat back in her seat and folded her arms, fangs only slightly retracted.

Aaron sighed. Pinching his nose, he said, “I believe we’ve seen enough. Could you kindly conclude your presentation? Not to be rude, but I have a feeling what you’ve discovered might ruffle some feathers.”

True to his words, I could see that the other councilmen were staring at us intently. Maybe he’s right. Reiss nodded. “I understand. We’ll leave you with copies of the evidence we’ve compiled. Antonio?”

With a wave of my boyfriend’s hand, sealed folders manifested on their desks.

“Inside you’ll find everything that we’ve explained and more, with timestamps and a map of where we believe Roger Bryce’s hidden base is. We’ll never forget that you’ve taken time out of your busy schedules to listen to the pleas of two lowly Alphas.”

With that, Reiss bowed, and so did we.

Aaron said that they would look over everything and give us a response before the week was up. I leaned against the window, gazing out at the passing fields. The orange glow from the setting sun danced on the tall grass, completely unbothered by all the things going wrong in the world.

“I’m happy that we didn’t stay there longer than necessary,” I said, tilting my head in the opposite direction. “They looked like they were ready to eat us.”

Glen chuckled. Instead of going home, he had chosen to stay with us for an unprecedented amount of time. “I’m just relieved it’s over. Now all we have to do is wait for their verdict and that’s it.”

“Hm.” Reiss played with the diamond stud in his earlobe. “Based on how Madeline and Tyrone reacted… nevermind. You’re right. We did the best that we could. Anything that happens depends on them. There is no way they’ll be able to bury everything, we have too much evidence.”

I turned to look at him. “Why would they want to bury everything?” I asked.

He met my eyes through the rearview mirror. Instead of replying, he was silent.

“Worrying will do no good.” Antonio sighed. “I understand, but I have a better idea of what we can do instead.”

Since he was driving this time, he spun the wheel, bringing the car off course. “What’s going on?” I settled into my seat. Antonio shot me a smile.

“I will only tell you if you give me a kiss.”

I faked a gasp. “When did you learn to be so manipulative?”

He laughed.

Soon, we entered another city. But this one looked more upscale, more spacious too. Fancy cars more often than they should have. Every building we passed had that modern touch to them. Although I found most of the decorations boring, there were a few that had a unique touch to them.

The same couldn’t be said for the building that Antonio brought us to. The outside was gray with a simple black sign hanging above the entrance. But the interior, oh goodness.

Antonio unlocked the door and it swung open. The room was painted an extremely dark violet. A pool in the center glowed a deep orange, giving the illusion of a pit of lava. To sell the look, steam rose out of the water. The lights were practically nonexistent. Logically I knew that if I wanted to turn them on, I could, but I preferred it this way.

“I booked this reservation ahead of time,” Antonio said. “I knew we would all be tense after the meeting. What do you say? Will you join me?”

None of us had brought any comfortable clothes, but that didn’t seem to matter. Antonio had peeled off his jacket. Reiss followed suit. I looked at the hot tub and glanced at Glen only to see him looking back at me.

I didn’t stop myself from staring at his body as he took off his clothes. The heat had already gotten to him as beads of sweat rolled down his pecs. Colt had put him through the ringer and it shows. His stomach was becoming more toned, more defined. He was already training with Beta Williams so he was already developing muscles for sure. But now that I was so close, when all I had to do was reach out and touch him, it all felt so real.

A trail of hair traveled from his navel to his pelvis and disappeared beneath his underpants. I licked my bottom lip.

My fingers traveled up my suit until they hooked onto a button and released it.

My body was exposed to the moist atmosphere. I tipped my toe into the water. It was hot to the touch, but not unbearable. I lowered myself until the water covered my breasts. It was as if I sat in warm, melted marshmallow.

They joined me, groaning in relief as soon as the water touched their skin. I resisted the urge to remove my panties. If I did, then there would be nothing left to hold me back.

Glen buried his hand in the back of my head and used my hair to pull my head back. I looked up at him, then stared at his lips. My eyes were drawn back to him. Our lips connected.

I was planning on holding back but that didn’t matter. Our underwear was already gone.

Teasing bites bore into my flesh. My arm reached out for Reiss. I placed his hand on my thigh. He didn’t hesitate to squeeze it.

I didn’t know what got to my head faster, the heat or the pleasure. I might have been exposed but so were they. Their touch made my mind go blank. My toes curled. Their tongues worked together to devour the lips between my legs.
