Chapter 28. Well received
POV Marchel.
I can see Cynthia's face that seems surprised by my confession.
Indeed, this seems to be enough to make Cynthia's mind confused to think about it.
I also actually feel guilty about this, feel guilty because I didn't explain the truth to Cynthia right away.
But I also don't want to be wrong in taking action. I want to make sure everything is first.
"Impossible!" Cynthia said while looking at me with tears ready to roll down her cheeks.
I know this is very unreasonable for Cynthia to accept, but somehow it stays like that.
“Right, I have memorized everything. Aren't our son and I pretty much alike?” Cynthia immediately looked at Cleo and Calix who were still calmly playing with their toys.
After that, Cynthia stared at Marchel with an unreadable gaze.
"It can't be helped that there is my blood flowing in their bodies, Cynthia." Cynthia wiped the tears that had rolled down her cheeks.
The woman is now looking back at me with her glazed eyes.
“So this is the reason you were ever kind to me to give me a place to stay? Isn't it?" I nodded slowly. That's the real reason. I had promised myself to explain everything.
“Yes, I also want to make sure that they are my children. Before that, forgive me, Cynthia, because I want to accept things like this.”
I saw Cynthia exhale tiredly as if the woman was tired of the situation. I became more and more guilty.
I took Cynthia's hand and held it tightly. “I apologize to you, I will fix everything and take responsibility. Do you want to?"
Cynthia pulled her hand from my grip, the woman looked at me fixedly. "I still don't understand all of this."
"Didn't I explain everything to you? That Sean is me. So, can I take care of them together? I also promise to look after you and Cynthia. That's my promise to you." I said seriously.
It seems Cynthia has accepted my presence bit by bit. I can see the woman nodding faintly.
"No wonder I saw my son's face as if it was the same as someone, it turned out to be you," said Cynthia, looking at her two sons.
I'm glad that Cynthia's response is getting better and better for me. It's like he wants to accept me.
I feel happy about it, hopefully, this is a good start for the future.
Love? I don't know, I'm not sure about that. It's just that for now I want to protect Cynthia with my children, that's all.
"So you accept me, right? Can I take care of them and interact with them at any time?” Cynthia nodded with a faint smile.
"After all they are your children too, I do not mind it," replied Cynthia.
I also returned Cynthia's smile, then not after a while, Caecilia came up to me and also Cynthia with her cute face.
I could see Caecilia smiling faintly at me then the little girl hugged Cynthia's body.
"What is it?" I asked.
“She's sleepy, it will be like this if Caecilia is sleepy.”
"Where is the person who takes care of the children?" I asked when I didn't see people who were usually about children playing.
"Nothing, I told her to rest first, because I will also find another job first." I nodded in understanding, it seems Cynthia wants to get out of her new workplace.
I also don't want to bring up the problem, I will teach Matthew a lesson myself. For now, I just want to be closer to Cynthia and my child.
“Can I just carry Caecilia? You must be tired, right?" I saw Cynthia as if surprised by what I said.
Likewise with Caecilia, the little girl looked at me confusedly.
I could see Caecilia looking at Cynthia in confusion.
"He's... Y-your father, honey." I smiled happily when I heard Cynthia say that.
Is it a sign that Cynthia has accepted me?
Caecilia stared at me with sparkling eyes. "Father?"
I nodded then stretched my arms for Caecilia to hug me. The little girl immediately rushed into my arms, I carried Caecilia's body and sat herself on my lap.
"Calix, I have a father!" Caecilia shouted. While the two older men who were playing immediately stopped the game.
I saw them come walking toward me and Cynthia. "Mom, is it true?" Cleo asked.
Cynthia nodded with a thin smile, not a few seconds later I was immediately hit by these two little men.
I am of course happy, I did not expect to become a father with three children.
"Why didn't you say from the beginning that our father is your father?" Cleo asked on the sidelines, hugging me.
I smiled happily while kissing the top of my son's head one by one. I also saw Cynthia who smiled at me.
“They seem very fond of you,” said Cynthia.
"I hope so, they and you will accept me," I replied.
“Dad, let's play, Dad! I want to play with you, come on, Daddy!” Calix said while taking my hand.
“Just accompany me to sleep, Dad. Caecilia wants to sleep in Daddy's arms,” said the little girl who was on my lap.
"Dad, just accompany us to play!" Cleo said joining in.
I'm happy about it, I thought they would not accept me. Cynthia wanted to accept everything I said and even brought the children closer to me.
“Cleo, Calix, em .. D-daddy just got here, let's just sleep with Caecilia, okay? Let Daddy rest too.” I looked at Cynthia with a smile when I heard that woman say that.
Akh, why is it so sweet when that woman calls me Daddy?
"But we want it to play with you, you want to play with us, right?" Calix asked me.
I nodded, indeed I want to get closer to them.
“Don't you want to take a rest with Caecilia first?” Cynthia asked me.
"But I want to play with Dad, Mom..." Calix whined.
"I'll tell you this, I'll accompany your sister to sleep first, then after that accompany you to play, how about that?" I could see the two little guys nodding simultaneously.
Then I headed to the room to accompany Caecilia with Cynthia to show me the way.
Cynthia came into the room and I immediately laid down Caecilia who was in my arms on the bed.
“Dad accompanies me to sleep,” said Caecilia.
"Yes, I am here," I immediately sat down on the side of the bed. I also stroked Caecilia's head gently.
Caecilia looks so much like Cynthia, sweet and beautiful!
"Then I accompany Cleo and Calix," said Cynthia. I nodded in response.
After Caecilia fell asleep, I kept my promise to take my two sons to play.
