Need to be punished

Winston then wrapped his arms around me and set me down directly on the floor. His hold was warm, almost comforting despite the situation, and I shivered slightly at the contact before my body touched the cold ground. I let out a small grunt as I put pressure on my heels, adjusting myself into a more comfortable position. My limbs ached slightly, and the surface beneath me was hard, but manageable. I was now on my hands and knees, looking up at Xavier. He stood there silent for several minutes, his gaze fixed on me with an intensity that made my skin tingle. I didn’t dare speak. I didn’t move. Until I took my eyes off of him which brought him back to his senses.

"Attention to me," he growled.

I switched my eyes back to his, immediately obeying. His voice had that edge again, the one that sent a ripple down my spine. He then smiled before looking up at Winston, who reached into the bag and grabbed one of the delicious treats, slipping it through the hole of the muzzle. I munched on it, savoring the flavor as long as I could, letting it sit on my tongue like it was something rare and precious. I felt a sudden tug on the leash that slightly pulled me forward, causing my full attention to go right back to Xavier instead of the treat in my mouth.

"Sit," he commanded.

I lowered my lower section until it hit the ground, now in a sitting position. My tailbone stung faintly against the pressure, but I didn’t flinch. Another treat was handed to me, and I gladly took it. The warmth of the praise was addicting, almost enough to forget the chain still attached to my collar.

Xavier held a tighter grip on the chained leash before taking a step towards the door, leaving me no choice but to get up and walk with him. I walked on my hands and knees right next to him, a few inches behind, watching his boots move steadily across the floor. Once he stopped walking he looked down at me, expecting something. I wasn’t sure what he was wanting though. I hesitated for just a second, searching his expression for any clue. He then finally broke the silence.

"Sit," the same command from earlier left his lips once again.

I sat down right next to him, not wanting to make him upset. My body moved before I fully processed it, trained to avoid consequences. Once again he started walking, but this time in a different direction. I got up and followed closely behind, making sure to keep my full attention on him. Each step felt like part of a test I didn’t want to fail. He stopped a few steps in, and I immediately sat down. He smiled, and Winston walked forward to hand me another treat. If my tail was out it would definitely be wagging right now. I liked this feeling, the feeling of being praised. It made something flutter in my chest , like pride, or maybe acceptance. Winston pat my head rather aggressively, but I still liked it. The roughness somehow grounded me.

"Down," Xavier spoke, breaking the small silence.

I wasn’t sure what he meant at first but I was guessing it was for me to lay down, which I did. I stretched out my arms and rested my chest against the floor, my cheek pressing into the cold tile.

"Good boy, very good boy," he praised right after.

The warmth in his voice did something to me—something dangerous, something that made me crave his approval even more.

And that’s how the next few days went on. We trained a little every day, and I learned more and more things. Commands. Expectations. Subtle cues in their voices. I liked it better when Winston was the one training me since he was less strict and kinder when I messed up, unlike Xavier. Xavier’s corrections were sharp and deliberate, leaving no room for negotiation. My wolf got the best of me yesterday and forced me into my wolf form, which didn’t go well. He refused to behave and now I’m suffering the consequences. My neck was burning as if acid had been poured over it, and now both of my wrists hurt like they were broken, but I could still put weight on them so I knew that was not the case. The pain throbbed with every heartbeat, but I bit my tongue and stayed silent.

I was now crouched down right next to the door, waiting for them to enter. My breathing was slow, measured. I had a plan in return for them hurting my wrists even though I wasn’t in my right mind at the time, it was my wolf. The part of me that refused submission, even when my body begged for peace. The door began to creak open and that’s when I took my chance to bolt towards it, heading towards the gap. My heart thundered in my chest, and the adrenaline drowned out the ache in my limbs. It didn’t take long for one of them to grab me by the waist, and that person was Winston, thankfully. He quickly brought me up to his chest. His arms were firm and unyielding, yet his grip didn’t hurt. He was breathing heavily and his heart beat was quick, but for some reason I had a feeling he knew I was waiting there to escape before the door was opened. Maybe there were hidden cameras in here, well, besides the visible ones.

"Are you being a little rebel?" He teased me as he carried me further into the room, Xavier not much behind. The words were playful, but his grip stayed tight.

I myself wasn’t sure what my goals were. I wanted to escape this room, but at the same time I was scared and wanted to stay in my territory. The idea of leaving left a knot in my stomach. Though, I did like the attention I got when I tried to escape, which led me to trying again. Their reactions felt like affection, even when they scolded me.

"Looks like you need a punishment, huh?"

I tilted my head, which for some reason looked like it gave Xavier an idea. Winston tilted his head slightly also, looking back at Xavier. They both made eye contact and sat there staring at each other for several minutes as if they were communicating. Oh wait, they most likely were through their mate bond. The air between them felt charged, like something was being decided without words. I swallowed, unsure if I should be excited or afraid.
