Chapter 52
Serena's POV
I wanted to push him away, to create some distance, but my body refused to move. My mind screamed at me to step back, to stop this before it went too far, but his presence was overwhelming.
Caiden's fingers traced slow, teasing circles along my waist before slipping beneath the hem of my blouse. A shiver ran through me as his other hand smoothed over my thigh, his touch igniting a strange, tingling warmth beneath my skin.
"You’re so responsive," he murmured, his voice thick and husky. "I can feel it... and I love how you smell."
I pressed my palms against his chest, intending to push him away, but my body betrayed me. My breath hitched as his fingers teased the edge of my blouse before slipping beneath it. A slow, deliberate movement, as if testing how far I’d let him go. His other hand traced lazy circles on my thigh, just above my knee, making the heat beneath my skin impossible to ignore.
“You smell incredible,” he murmured, his voice like velvet laced with desire. “I just want this to last well.”
My mind screamed for control, but my body was already lost in the moment. His touch was like fire, searing through every last shred of restraint I had.
Then, his gaze flickered to the side, landing on something. I followed his line of sight and felt my stomach drop. A restroom door—female’s restroom.
“Perfect,” he muttered under his breath.
“Caiden—” My protest died in my throat as he lifted me effortlessly, my legs wrapping around his waist instinctively.
The sensation of being lifted, pressed against his firm chest, stole my breath as he carried me inside. The door clicked shut behind us, sealing us in an oddly intimate bubble.
He set me down on the marble counter beside the sink. The cold surface barely registered as I watched him turn on the faucet, the rush of water filling the space.
“For privacy,” he explained, dipping his fingers under the water before brushing them against my arm. “No one will hear us.”
The coolness of the water was nothing compared to the warmth of his body pressing against mine. I was still perched on the counter, my heartbeat hammering wildly in my chest.
He stepped between my legs, his warmth pressing closer, and my breath stuttered. He didn’t rush—no, Caiden was deliberate, savoring every reaction. His fingers trailed along my knee, pushing my skirt slightly higher as he leaned in.
"Caiden, what are you doing?" I managed to whisper, my voice shaky.
“Something you’ll love, honey,” he whispered, the nickname sending a shiver down my spine.
I stiffened, my thoughts a tangled mess. His touch lingered at the edge of my thigh, fingers tracing slow patterns that sent tiny sparks dancing along my skin.
He leaned in, his nose skimming against the side of my neck. His breath was hot, his lips ghosting over my pulse point, making my fingers dig into the marble counter. His hands, bold yet careful, roamed my sides, making every inch of me hyperaware of the closeness between us.
I squeezed my eyes shut, fighting the overwhelming sensation, but it was pointless. Every part of me was responding to him, to this.
I should stop this. I should move. But instead, I was frozen, my body betraying me with each electrifying second.
He was right—I wanted this, craved it even. I just never knew how badly until now.
His lips hovered dangerously close to my ear as he whispered something low and sinful—words I couldn’t even fully process because my mind was spinning. I felt trapped between desire and resistance, caught in a storm that only he controlled.
And the worst part?
I wasn’t sure I wanted it to end.
His hands found my waist, fingers pressing in just enough to ground me before tilting my chin so I was forced to look at him.
I want to blow your mind away,” he murmured, his lips hovering just inches from mine. “Consider it a… paradox.”
I blinked, my breath catching. “A paradox?”
His smirk deepened, his gaze dark and unreadable. “So you know what you truly want.”
I swallowed hard. “Caiden, I don’t think—”
Before I could finish, his fingers traced up my spine, slow and deliberate, sending a wave of heat spiraling through me. My words dissolved, leaving nothing but the pounding of my heartbeat and the intensity in his eyes.
“Tell me to stop,” he whispered, his voice barely audible over the rush of blood in my ears.
I tried. I really did. But my lips parted with nothing but silence.
His forehead pressed against mine, our breaths mingling, the space between us evaporating. My fingers gripped the edge of the counter, torn between resisting and surrendering.
Then, just as the air grew thick with the weight of unspoken desire, he leaned in, his voice low and wicked against my ear.
“I’ll have you trembling so badly, you won’t remember how to stand.”
A sharp gasp slipped from me before I could stop it. My entire body reacted, heat pooling low in my stomach, my grip on reality slipping.
I jerked as his hand, still under my skirt, shifted with purpose. A slow, teasing movement that made every muscle in my body coil in anticipation.
My thighs trembled involuntarily as I felt his fingers hover there—so close, yet not close enough. My breath hitched, and when his gaze lifted to meet mine, something in his expression made my stomach tighten even further.
I arched slightly, my body betraying me, pressing toward him instead of away. I couldn’t believe this was happening.
Couldn’t believe this was happening.
And then—everything faded.
Caiden’s eyes darkened with something unreadable as his fingers hovered over me. “Have you ever touched yourself before?”
I shook my head, embarrassed, my breath coming in shallow gasps.
He exhaled, a slow, knowing sound. “I can feel how tight you are even without dipping,” he murmured, his fingers pressing lightly. “Don’t strain yourself. Just let me do the work.”
I clenched my fists, every nerve ending in my body alight with tension. His touch was slow, deliberate, coaxing. My body warred between resisting and surrendering, but his voice—low, commanding—kept me rooted in place.
I was losing myself.
