Chapter 69 Chapter 69

Chapter 69 Chapter 69
Dorian’s pov

I walked towards the security room as I clenched my fists in anger. I could not believe that we had overlooked a little thing such as a camera.

It hurt me so much that I had to be the one doing this kind of small things when I could send someone to do it, but if I sent the wrong person and they went to security room and found the footage, helga was going to be in so much trouble and it would lead back to me.

I got to the security room to find out that the door was locked as I turned around and roared in anger.

“Where is the security guard that should be stationed here?!”

One of the maids rushed to me.

“He went on a break my beta.”

I coughed a laugh. “It’s close to midnight. He should be here doing his job not going on a break, do you know where he is?”

She shook her head.

“Go find him!” I yelled as she bowed then runoff and I looked back at the room.

Then I knew that there was someone I had to go and meet. I started walking out of the packhouse and headed towards the main pack as I got onto my bike and drove to Helga‘s house.

It didn’t take up to two minutes, I reached there and parked in front of the gate.

I entered to see her parents arguing about something on the front porch.

They saw me and bowed, “beta. What brings you here?”

I smiled. “I’m looking for Helga.”

“Our daughter is inside,” her mother smiled, giving an annoying smile as she turned to her husband. “We were actually leaving, so I hope she’s in good hands with you.”

I knew what they were trying to do. They had heard that I was dating their daughter and because of that they were trying to be extra nice and giving me and Helga enough space to do whatever we wanted to do.

But they could rest easy. I wasn’t here to do anything with her. All I wanted was to reprimand her for being so stupid that she had not seen the camera.

I smiled and entered the house as I found Helga dancing in the living room with a headset on. I walked up to her and took off the headset as she turned to me with a smile.

She saw how angry I was as the smile on her face dropped to the floor.

“What’s wrong? What happened?”

I rolled my eyes falling onto the couch, “you happened. You didn’t notice all through your years going to that healers tent that there was anything called a camera?”

Her eyes widened.

“Oh yes, there is a camera. It's right there and you didn’t even think of checking if the camera still works or not.”

She was shocked. “I haven't thought about the camera. I thought it was just for props.”

I smacked my forehead in anger, “What do you mean for props? It’s a camera that blinks red light when it’s recording and I’m sure everything you did to Eliara is there and I was so stupid. I should’ve picked someone better.”

She sat beside me and started to pout. “Oh, don’t be like that. I don’t think anybody will notice.”

She was making things worse as I turned to her.

“Why do you think I’m asking about the camera? The Alpha is asking for it. I want you to be careful next time when I send you on a mission. You should be careful next time.”

I got to my feet then headed for the door.

“So that’s it?” She said to her feet. “You just came because of the camera.”

I turned to her. I knew that yelling at her would only make things worse and I wanted her to know I was on her side, so I decided to manipulate her again.

“I’m here because I care for you. I’m here because I want to tell you to be careful so that the next time before you act you look around and make sure you’re not being watched. Have I made myself clear? Because I’m going out to erase your own mess.”

She nodded as I smiled, then walked away from her

I returned to the packhouse and headed straight for the guards security room. I found the security guard had returned. I frowned at him.

“And where were you when I showed up earlier?”

He bowed, “forgive me beta, I went to have lunch and dinner combined.”

I scoffed, “you didn’t eat in the afternoon?”

“No,” he shook his head. “I haven’t eaten because I’ve been here working.”

I looked around. “Where are your subordinates? I doubt it’s only you that has been stationed here.”

“Yes it’s not only me, but the rest of my workers are… indisposed. They ate bad fish last night and they have been in the hospital for a while. The healers have their hands full.”

I nodded.

“Well I want to check something and I want to do it alone.”

“Beta?” he asked as I raised the brow.

“Did I stutter? I need the room. Leave.”

He got to his feet as he walked out leaving me alone. I closed the door, locking it, then I turned to the screens. I had not operated this before, but how hard could it be?

I decided to work on the system as soon, I got the hang of it and then I trailed back to that moment where I found myself threatening Eliara. Then I found when Helga had poured glue over her and then also found where Helga had also burned down the entire place with her friends.

I knew that if I didn’t do anything about this, it would get out of hand, so I did what any sane person would do.

I deleted that exact file then leaned back in my seat with a smile on my face.

Now there was no evidence to free Eliara from her cell. She was mine.
