Chapter 27 Redemption
Russell looked to his side, feeling the phantom weight of the blade he had carried for to decades.
For the first time, he felt like getting rid of it, his chest tightening like it was about to combust.
He exhaled sharply, turning to face Mia.
“It was my first kill, Mia.” He whispered, looking away slowly.
But that didn’t stop him from hearing Mia’s snigger.
“I can see that you have become better with so much practice.” She sighed, maintaining her gaze at him like her life depended on it.
Her wry smile had refused to leave, her expression cold and silent.
“Look at me, Russell.” She said calmly, and when the Alpha refused, she grabbed him by the jaw and gently lifted his face.
Their eyes met eyeball to eyeball, but the Alpha couldn’t keep up.
Russell looked away, taking a deep breath.
“I know nothing I can say will ever get rid of the pain you feel, Mia. I am…”
“I forgive you.” Mia interrupted him, forcing him into silence.
To be sure he heard what he thought he heard, he looked up at her, aiming for her eyes.
They sparkled, glittering with a promise of redemption for the Alpha.
Russell was still engrossed by uncertainty, his eyes demanding clarification.
“What did you say?” He asked, still looking her in the eyes.
Mia sighed, and then he grabbed his hands.
“Twice, you have proven to me that even monsters can be kind. Twice you have saved my life.” She paused, holding onto her pleasant smile.
“Maybe I can’t be able to get rid of the pain of losing my parents, but I won’t deny the fact that you have shown me nothing but kindness since you saved my life. So I forgive you from the bottom of my heart.”
Russell chuckled, finding Mia’s words very hard to believe.
“You don’t know how I feel right now, Mia. I feel so much…”
“Shuu.” Mia shushed him with her fingers, sealing his lips before he could say any other word.
“I don’t want to hear it.” She whispered with a tenderly sweet sound, and to prove her pardon, she pushed forward, completely guided by her instincts.
She kissed the Alpha, locking her lips with his.
Russell felt the softness of her red lips, the warmth of her breath, and even the purity of her taste.
The euphoria lingered, and Mia didn’t even look like she was ready to let her, her eyes tightly shut.
She had fallen for her savior, completely smitten by her enemy.
The Alpha felt redemption while she felt protection.
She was the calm, he was the storm, wrapping her arms around him.
Then suddenly she felt overwhelmed, pulling away from him.
She cleared her throat, looking out the window.
She felt the quick rush of adrenaline still brewing inside her, her heartbeat increasing like racing horses.
“I am sorry for that.” She muttered, gulping noisily.
Her hair was still standing, her entire body giving in to the sensation that gripped her.
She could no longer look the Alpha in the eyes, his charm and prowess all over her, thickening the air inside the car.
“Can we go home now?” She pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Sure.” Russell nodded, turning on the ignition.
The ride back to Hamilton Castle was silent, but this was a different kind of stillness.
One that carried several promises for both of them.
Each time they looked at each other, they smiled without knowing it, and soon, the Alpha grabbed her hand, holding onto the wheel with the other.
They arrived home, and Russell went in with her, walking behind her at a slow pace.
Mia got to her door while the Alpha tried to walk past to get to his chamber.
But she stopped him, grabbing his hand before he could take the next step.
“Do you want to come in?” She asked, a coy smile all over her face.
Russell sighed, searching for sincerity in her eyes.
“Are you sure, Mia?”
“Mm-hmm.” Mia nodded, her smile intact.
Russell looked to his left, and then to his right.
He was so glad that he had asked the guards not to stand along that particular hallway.
Mia grabbed his tie, and he followed her as she walked backward into the room, sinking into her bed.
The Alpha kissed her, her heartbeat increasing as she felt his weight upon her, the tingle between her legs increasing.
She could feel something growing, and she was certain that it was not the Alpha’s leg.
She moaned, her breath quivering but in a sweet way.
Russell reached between her legs, crawling deeper while she grunted.
He pulled her dress upward, spreading her legs apart.
Then he looked her in the eyes, watching as she panted.
“I will take it slow, I promise.”
Mia nodded, but she wasn’t ready.
The Alpha grabbed her underwear, and feeling the wetness, he pulled it from her, nice and slow.
Then he resumed kissing her, enjoying the sound of her melodious moan.
From her lips, he moved to her neck, and then back to her lips.
Every touch was sensational, unlocking a new mood in her.
“Russell.” She muttered, her breath still unsteady.
The Alpha went down, his head between her legs.
His tongue was already out, and before Mia could refuse, he had already stuck it in her vulva, causing an explosive sensation to surge into her.
Mia gasped, her eyes rolling backward.
“Don’t stop! I beg you!” She pleaded, grabbing his head with both hands.
The Alpha obeyed, and she made things easier by lifting her legs.
“Yes!” Mia screamed, chuckling in delight.
Her entire body concurred to the sweet touch of the Alpha, and she was ready for more.
Russell made sure she was soaked, her body yearning desperately for him.
Then he went higher, unzipping his pants in the process.
Mia swallowed hard, unaware of what to expect.
She could feel the hugeness and length of the Alpha’s dick, her heart pounding frantically against her ribcage.
Russell paused, looking down at her.
He could smell her innocence, accompanied by the familiar flowery scent.
“I see you have never done this before.” He whispered, prompting Mia to look away.
Then he continued, locking his lips with hers.
Mia shut her eyes tightly, feeling his cock reaching for her vulva.
Then the Alpha thrusted, and Mia let out a scream.
Tears fell from her eyes, but she couldn’t tell him to stop.
She moaned, grunted, and wrapped both her legs and arms around him, locking them together.
A raw fire ignited inside her, her entire body feeling a sense of fulfillment.
Russell sank his canines into her neck, making the pain as bearable as he could.
Mia yelped, biting down on her lower lip.
He had left a mark on her neck, an indelible one.
“Too bad for that goon that lost you,” Russell scoffed, lips expanding into a coy smile.
“Now you are mine, Mia. Mine forever.”
