Chapter 124 I kiss him back

Chapter 124 I kiss him back
Rune POV.

We barely made it to the storage room.

The door slams shut. Logan has me against the wall immediately. His mouth claims mine.

I kiss him back. Hands already working at his training leathers.

"We're supposed to be setting an example." I gasp when he moves to my neck.

"We are." Logan growls. Yanks my leathers down. "Showing the pack that mates who fight together—"

He lifts me. I wrap my legs around his waist.

"—stay together."

Outside, footsteps pass. Voices discussing tomorrow's schedule. Warriors heading to evening meal.

Logan freezes. "Shit. They'll hear."

"Don't care. Need you now."

His eyes darken. "Fuck, Rune."

He enters me in one brutal thrust. I cry out. Loud enough the warriors outside definitely hear.

Logan's hand clamps over my mouth. "Quiet, Luna. Unless you want an audience."

But he's thrusting harder. Deeper. Making quiet impossible.

I bite his palm gently. He groans. Hips snap against mine with force.

"You feel so good." He growls against my ear. "So perfect. All day watching you fight. Getting stronger. Holding your own. Wanting to do this."

His free hand slides between us. Finds my clit. Rubs tight circles while he pounds into me.

The wall is cold against my back. His body is hot against my front.

"Logan—" I moan against his palm.

"That's it. Say my name. Let them hear who's making you feel this good."

His fingers work faster. His thrusts go deeper. The angle shifts slightly and—

"Fuck!" I cry out. The sound muffled but still audible.

"Found it." Logan says. Hits that spot again. And again. And again.

Pleasure builds impossibly fast.

"Come for me. Let them hear their Luna coming on their Alpha's cock."

The words. The angle. His fingers. The sheer intensity.

I shatter.

My orgasm crashes through me. Clenching around him rhythmically. Through the bond, he feels every pulse.

"Fuck, yes." He groans. Thrusts three more times before following me over. Buries himself deep as he comes.

We stay locked together. Both shaking. Both gasping for breath.

Outside, I hear someone laugh. A voice I don't recognize says, "Guess the Alpha and Luna are... coordinating."

More laughter. Footsteps fading.

"We're never living this down."

"Don't care. Worth it."

Eventually we separate. Try to make ourselves presentable. We fail.

"Tomorrow, we show some restraint."

Logan's look is pure skepticism.

"Or we find better hiding spots."

"Much better plan."

We emerge from the storage room to find Cassandra and Garrick exiting the armory directly across the hall.

All four of us freeze.

Cassandra's hair is disheveled. Garrick's shirt is inside-out. We're all flushed. Obviously satisfied. Completely caught.

Then Cassandra starts laughing. Real. Genuine laughter that echoes through the corridor.

"We're all terrible at restraint."

"Speak for yourself." Garrick says. But he's grinning.

Logan and I exchange glances with them. Mutual understanding. Shared amusement. Zero judgment.

We're facing war in thirty-two days. If we steal moments of passion where we can, who could blame us?

"Same time tomorrow?" Cassandra jokes.

"Training at dawn." Logan confirms. Then adds, "Storage room at dusk."

We part ways laughing. Heading to our chambers.

But as we walk, something makes me glance out the window.

I stop dead.

Perched on the outer wall, clearly visible in fading light: a raven. Black as midnight. Eyes gleaming unnatural red in the sunset.

Viktor's spy.

"Logan." I whisper. Point.

He follows my gaze. Expression hardens immediately.

The raven tilts its head. Studies us with intelligence no normal bird possesses.

And there's something in that tilted head. Amusement. Like it's watching children play at war.

Through the bond: my spike of fear. His unease.

"He's watching. Everything we're doing. All our training. Our preparations. Our strategies. He's watching."

"Let him watch." Logan pulls me close. "Let him see we're not afraid."

"But he's not worried. We're preparing everything we can. Training as hard as possible. And Viktor isn't even worried."

The raven spreads its wings. Massive. Far too large for normal raven. Shadows darker than night.

It circles once over the fortress. Almost lazy. Then disappears north.

Toward the Bloodmoon Wastelands.

Toward Viktor.

Carrying intelligence about everything we're doing.

"Thirty-two days." I whisper.

"Thirty-two days." Logan confirms. Pulls me away from the window. "Then we find out if love is stronger than two centuries of dark magic."

We head to our chambers in silence. The playful mood from earlier gone.

Replaced by the weight of knowing the enemy is watching.

And wondering if being watched means we're already losing.
