Chapter 26 26
Chapter 26 – Return
It was early in the morning, and I felt movement in the bed with me. I assumed Odessa had woken up to use the restroom, get water, or something. Then I felt the familiar feel of leather around my wrists.
My eyes shot open and to my surprise, my mate was hovering over the top of me. With my leather belt in her hands, she looped my wrists through and was determined to tie my hands to the metal headboard. Naughty little wolf! Her left breast was dangling inches away from my face and I couldn’t resist taking it in my mouth.
She stifled a shriek and tried to pull back, but I only sucked harder. After a moment, she arched her back forward allowing me more access and I continued to let my mouth feast on her. Her hand reached for my cock and blinding pleasure rushed through me. It was one thing to be touched by a woman, but it was completely different to be touched by your mate.
I could have easily slipped my hands free but decided to see what my mate had in store for me. I prayed she wasn’t going to leave me hanging again as punishment for the strippers. Her moans grew louder and the sexual energy in the air was heavy. I needed to be back inside of her.
“Oh my naughty little Luna,” I groaned, and she straddled over me with a triumphant smile.
I gave a slight tug at the belt, showing her I was still bound and allowing her the illusion of being in control. In some strange way, I was ridiculously turned on by her aggressiveness. When she rubbed the tip of me through her heat, I had to fight the urge not to thrust my hips up and impale her.
Her lips parted as she lowered herself on me. With every inch, the sweet sounds of her moans grew louder. I studied her carefully as she slowly sank
all the way down, my body thrumming with the need to move. I laid still, watching her take control as she slowly lifted up and rocked back down.
My fingers ached to rub her clit and make her cry out, my mouth hungered to taste her again, and my cock begged to thrust harder into her. She was going to drive me crazy. Her eyes met mine, lids hooded with pleasure, and her pace picked up. It was a beautiful slow torture, nothing like what I was used to, but it felt so good. A few moments later, I gave an upward thrust of my hips and her mouth fell open.
“Ohhhh, Hades…” she moaned out my name and that was all I needed to lose my restraint.
Unable to resist any longer, I continue to rock my hips upwards. She leaned forward and rested her palms on my abs for support. If I had the use of my hands I would have entwined them with hers to help support her while she was on top. Her breasts swayed back and forth and I continued to thrust from the bottom, feeling her grip tighten painfully around me as she reached orgasm.
Odessa stilled with a beautiful cry, and I continued to stroke inside of her, feeling my release near. With an intoxicating smile, she leaned down sank her teeth into my neck intensifying the force of my orgasm.
After our morning shower, we dressed and made our way downstairs for breakfast. We were greeted with the sounds of an argument.
“It wasn’t my fault, he jumped on me!” Kazimir gritted his teeth.
“You did it on purpose, you’ve never liked him!” Alina cried as she cradled the black and orange ball of fur.
“I let you bring him here, didn’t I?” Kazimir snapped. “What’s wrong?” Odessa asked.
“Last night Kazimir scared Kronos—” “He attacked me!” Kazimir cut her off.
“He threw him across the room, and something happened to Kronos, he hasn’t eaten anything or moved much since last night.” Alina sniffled and kissed the top of the cat’s head.
“It was an accident!” Kazimir all but roared. “He jumped on me!” “He needs a doctor. There’s something wrong with him.”
“He’s fine. Cats have nine lives.” Kazimir stepped closer to her, but she turned her back to him and pressed her face into the cat.
“We’re going into Athens today to look for our pack doctor, and do some shopping, maybe you can bring him with us?” Ninos suggested.
“Well, I’m not leaving Kronos here alone with him!” Alina shot Kazimir a hard look.
“Everything okay?” Giota entered the kitchen with Thea.
“Kronos isn’t feeling too good, so we’re going to take him with us today. Maybe he can pick out a new toy too,” Ninos said trying to keep Thea from worrying about the cat.
“A toy will make him feel better,” she smiled and moved to Alina to place a kiss on the cat's head.
“Why don’t you ladies start breakfast without us. I need to speak with Ninos and Kazimir in the Alpha office, Darius should be waiting for us. We won’t be long.”
“Holy hell Hades! She claimed you again with a fresh mark,” Ninos teased and poked at my neck.
“Jealous?” I shot back.
“My balls are about to fall off and you’re bragging about getting some,” Kazimir growled.
Ninos mischievously grinned. “Kazimir has every right to be jealous, his mate is giving that pussy more attention and love than he’s getting.”
“I’m glad things are working out for one of us,” Kazimir shook his head.
“Oh yeah, Odessa is the ruler of his underworld,” Ninos hooted.
“And how’s it going with your mate? I don’t see any claim marks on you yet.” Kazimir asked Ninos.
“I just found her last night, but I can’t wait for her to claim what’s hers!”
“That’s my sister you’re talking about,” I warned. “Right, sorry. I promise to treat her well.”
“I know you will. If you don’t, she might cut off your testicle!” I laughed thinking about Philippos… that one-balled bastard.
“I called Yannis, the contractor, and he wants to come have a look at everything you want done today,” Ninos told me.
“Kazimir will stay here,” I said as I turned to Kazimir. “I also want the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta chambers completely gutted and remodeled, along with everything else we discussed.”
“I’ll work in the Beta office today while the contactor is here,” Kazimir said.
“Be sure to let him know if you want any changes to the Beta office.” “So, we’re staying here?” Kazimir asked with confusion, and it
occurred to me I hadn’t told him yet.
“Yes. You will be the pack Beta, Ninos the Gamma, and I’m fairly certain Darius will make a great Delta.”
“Are you sure?” Kazimir smiled. “I mean, I’m not Greek.”
“It shouldn’t matter. You’re my brother and that’s all that matters.” He nodded his head. “Alina will be happy. She likes it here.”
“If it helps, you can tell her you’re granting the cat amnesty. He can be the official pack cat.”
“There’s no way Thea will let him go now,” Ninos reminded us.
“Darius will be here shortly to review the new patrol schedule with you. I expect your full assessment of Darius this evening. I’ve given the warriors a week until we assess them for class rankings and create a new training regimen.”
“We’ll keep you posted on Kronos’ progress today,” Ninos teased as we left the office.
We decided to take two vehicles to Athens so that we would have enough room to bring all the shopping back. Odessa and I drove in the Range Rover, while Ninos, Giota, Thea, Alina, and Kronos were in the Mercedes following us.
“You know, I have a closet full of clothes at home, I won’t need much,” Odessa told me.
“That would require telling your brother,” I smiled.
“I think he’s going to notice when I don’t return today.”
“We’ll call him this afternoon. Athens is just over an hour away from his pack territory, maybe he’ll want to join us for lunch.”
“Right, he can’t kill anyone in public,” she smirked.
The drive seemed to pass by quicker than I had realized. I was so engrossed in the questions Odessa asked and the stories she told. She told me about growing up with her brother and how he used his element to blind
people with dirt in the eye. Apparently, he thought it was funny, so his friends started wearing sunglasses around him all the time. I couldn’t stop laughing when she told the story of her little black cat. Dolos was her mischievous cat who once pooped in Dimitri’s shoe.
“I’m telling you, cats can sense when someone doesn’t like them. It’s like a sixth sense or something. If Kazimir doesn’t watch himself, Kronos will do the same to him,” Odessa laughed, tipping her head back as the sunlight caressed her beautiful face.
Goddess her laugh was something else. It warmed my heart and tied a lasso around it at the same time. She was life, love, and beauty all wrapped up in one. If the Moon Goddess was trying to make a believer of true mates out of me, she won. Hands down, she won. No one was ever going to take her away from me, not even her brother.
“Mine,” Haze barked in my head, feeling more and more possessive over her with every passing minute.
We arrived in Athens and parked the cars at a shopping strip full of boutiques and shops the ladies would like. I had considered taking them to Ermou Street which is a long shopping strip only accessible on foot in the heart of Athens, but the lack of parking nearby was a deterrent for the amount of shopping I expected the ladies to do. Odessa and I waited for Ninos to park the car behind us, in typical Greek fashion, he did it by touch of the bumper. It doesn’t matter what kind of car it is, in Greece, there seemed to be a healthy respect for the function of a bumper.
Alina stepped out of the back seat, with the tote bag slung around her shoulder. Kronos peeped his head out of the open zipper to take in his surroundings. He seemed alert and looked curiously at everything. If I didn’t know any better, one might think there was nothing wrong with him.
“Except his dislike for Kazimir,” Haze grumbled. He didn’t care for the feline either.
“I’m going to leave you with Ninos to shop, buy anything you want. I need to run to the port and check in on the water ferry business. Many of
our pack members work there and I’m hoping someone has a lead on Doctor Evros. I’ll be back in about an hour.”
“Do you want me to come with you?” Odessa asked me.
“No, I want you to help my sister spend money. She took Thea shopping and was very reserved in her spending. I’d like to make sure they have everything they need and want, Alina included.”
“Okay. Good luck with Doctor Evros.” She kissed me before I left.
Fifteen minutes later, I parked at the Port of Piraeus and made my way to the business office. The pack members recognized me as Alpha and bowed their heads in respect. I spoke with Mona who was Darius and Orion’s mother, she managed the Ferry service. We briefly discussed the business and operations before I asked her about Doctor Evros.
“It was very upsetting to many, seeing Doctor Evros exiled. He did nothing wrong,” she said with sincerity.
“I understand. We need a pack doctor and I want him back. If you hear anything…”
“Yes, of course,” she bowed her head in submission.
“Do you have any idea where he would go? If he has any family?”
“I don’t know where he’s at, but he has a sister at Olympus Blood Moon, she’s the pack doctor there. I’m not sure if The Beast would allow him refuge.”
I thanked her for her time and asked that she visit me in the Alpha office so we can discuss weekly reports. I wanted to review operating expense reports as well as bank deposits regularly. I made a mental note to ask the others who managed the pack hotels and restaurants for the same.
“About time you put that fancy degree to use,” Haze reminded me. I had earned a business management degree while at the university.
A motorcycle in my rearview mirror caught my attention, it was a few car lengths back. It left the port the same time I did, and because tailgating is practically a form of friendship in the city, it was odd that the bike remained such a distance behind me. I took a left and looped around the cultural center, it didn’t follow me. When I emerged on the main road again, I didn’t see it, but something felt off.
I considered looking at local hospitals and clinics for Doctor Evros but was short on time. I had told Ninos I would be back in an hour, and I didn’t like being away from my mate while she was in the city. My phone buzzed, it was Kazimir.
“Kazimir,” I answered.
“Alpha Bank is the bank used for pack business and money. They need you to stop in and update your information as the primary holder so they can issue new cards and cheques.”
“And the bank for his personal businesses?”
“Citibank, but we should wait on those records until we know the Russians are taken care of. The pack accounts are under a corporate holding, but his personal assets are under his name.”
“Got it. Have you checked our investments and exchanges yet?”
“Our stocks are doing well, I sold some currency this morning and I’ve just finished four generous wire transfers from American Senators who held fundraisers this weekend to fatten those slush accounts. The contractor is here taking measurements, Darius has taken Maria shopping for groceries, I gave them cash from the pile we recovered the other night, and Orion is running training today.”
“Sounds like you have everything under control.” “How’s the hunt for the Doctor?”
“I think he’s hiding at his sister’s pack.”
“Let me guess… your new brother-in-law’s pack?” He laughed.
“Dah!” I answered yes in Russian, impersonating Kazimir’s thick accent, which only caused his laughter to grow.
“Better get to it and call him.”
“I have to get to the bank first, and I think I’d rather spend the day shopping with the ladies.”
His laughter grew into deep barking, and he gasped for air. “Alpha Hades would rather shop for ladies' underwear than call Alpha Dimitri and inquire about the missing Doctor.”
“Some of that stuff can be kind of sexy,” I chuckled and disconnected.
I parked and made my way into the main branch at Alpha Bank. The roaming eyes of two bank cashiers found me and I continued to not notice. “Theé mou, eínai tóso koúklos!” I heard one whispering about me being handsome to the other as they undressed me with their eyes. Before finding my mate, I could have easily invited one or both to dinner. I would have taken whatever pleasure I wanted, in any manner I desired, and walked away without a glance back. But things were different now, all that mattered was my mate.
Once they realized who I was, the bank manager quickly rushed to greet me. The older gentleman introduced himself as Mr. Zoes, who looked like a tax accountant. He updated the bank records and had me sign some forms before he ordered new bank cards and cheques. Mr. Zoes thanked me for my continued business and walked me out.
I checked my watch and realized I had been gone for nearly two hours. The ladies would be ready for lunch by now, I know I was. I reached my car and caught a glimpse of a motorcycle speeding through the main intersection ahead. I wasn’t sure if it was the same one as earlier, but Haze was on full alert.
