Chapter 20 20
Chapter 20 – Athens
I wasn’t sure what turned me on more, her naivety or her eagerness to discover. She didn’t shy away or avert her eyes as I thought she would. Instead, she had been so aroused by the hedonistic ambiance she discarded her wet panties so I wouldn’t notice. Wrong move little wolf.
The moment my hand met her lower back, to help guide her along, it took all I had not to trace my hand over her beautifully round ass when I felt the thin garment was gone. Haze kept pushing me to kiss her, but I didn’t want to push her too fast. The club environment could be overwhelming for first-timers, and we had not come for pleasure.
When we stepped onto the balcony and the heat of desire was radiating from her, teasing me, I couldn’t resist. I wanted to touch her, seduce her with my mouth, and make her beg for more. I was sure she’d push my hand away but when she didn’t I nearly bit down on her neck as my canines extended. Bringing her to pleasure was the triumph of my life and tasting her on my fingers only made me burn with desire to have her. My erection strained against my zipper, begging for her.
The sun was starting to set when we left the Adonis. The last time Kazimir and I were here, we discovered a small rooftop taverna with all the rustic charms of old-world Greece. The restaurant sat at the top of an old hundred-year-old building, that was intended to feed locals. With about a dozen tables, it wasn’t some swanky place that attracted tourists. There was no menu, you ate what the chef felt like preparing that day. All the ingredients were fresh and local, Tassos served whatever was in season. Ninos had been one of the two employees working there with the owner, who was also the cook.
“I’m starving, where are we going?” Ninos asked.
“We’re going to see Tassos,” I replied. Tassos was a kind and older Greek man who had taken pity on Ninos when he was alone in the city. He gave Ninos a place to work, eat, and sleep. Tassos was the reason why Ninos enjoyed cooking so much and I knew he would enjoy the visit.
We arrived at the old stone building nestled a rock throw away from Acropolis hill. Ninos held a door open leading to the narrow stairs and smiled with excitement. A small store was located on the bottom level and random offices were on the next five floors.
“Is this where your father’s apartment is?” She asked, looking confused because the restaurant had no signs.
Ninos pulled the last door open and stepped out on the rooftop. In the far corner stood the outdoor kitchen where the food was prepared. The chairs were painted different shades of blue, and the tables remained in their natural wood color in different shapes and sizes. A single glass jar containing a candle sat in the middle of each table. The only other source of light over the dining area was from the string of soft white lights hanging overhead.
“It’s beautiful,” Odessa said in awe, taking in the view of the Parthenon. The sun was nearly set and the lights showcasing the Parthenon at night cast a captivating glow. “We’re so close, it feels like you can just reach out and touch it,” she smiled mesmerized by the view.
“She likes it,” Haze purred at her approval.
“NINOS!” Tassos smiled as he continued stirring a large pot.
“Geia sou Tasso!” Ninos greeted his old friend and rushed to hug him.
“How did you find this place?” Odessa asked as I led her to the table closest to the view and pulled the chair for her.
“Kazimir and I stumbled upon it a few years ago. We found Ninos here, he was a lone wolf. This place is a hidden gem the locals like to keep for
themselves. There is no set menu, we eat whatever Tassos has prepared.” I explained.
Ninos carried a pitcher of ice water and two glasses to us. “I’m going to eat in the kitchen area and catch up with Tassos. He’s taking the bread out of the oven right now.”
I nodded my head, relieved to have my mate to myself for dinner. Traditional Greek instrumental music played from a small speaker near the kitchen area. Her head was turned, still admiring the view on top of the Acropolis, and it allowed me to admire my favorite view… her. She sat opposite me on the other side of the small table and yet I couldn’t get her close enough to satisfy my urge. I wanted to feel her, to touch her and feed her myself.
“I can’t get over this breathtaking view,” she said, and the wind blew a stray strand of hair across her face.
“Neither can I.” I wasn’t talking about the same view. I reached my hand across the table and tucked the loose hair behind her ear.
She tried to hide her smile from my touch and eyed the pitcher of water as if contemplating pouring herself a glass. I quickly took hold of the handle and filled her glass. Tassos made his way to our table and placed a large chunk of fresh hot bread down and a chickpea salad. Ninos carried a plate of grilled octopus with a bowl of Greek-style sardines braised in a tomato and sweet pepper sauce. Tassos returned with a smile and an eggplant dish.
“Kali Orexi!” He wished us a good meal and returned to the kitchen with Ninos.
“This looks amazing,” Odessa lifted her fork and started eating. We both ate from the same plates, moving from plate to plate and savoring the freshness and flavors of the food.
“Now this is the fuel of life,” I nearly growled when I took a bite of the sardines, enjoying the robust flavor as the tenderly stewed fish disintegrated
in my mouth.
“And here I thought love was the fuel of life,” Odessa teased, and my cold heart skipped a beat. This little she-wolf was stirring feelings inside of me I never thought possible.
When we finished eating, Tassos refused to charge us for the meal. The cost of eating at Tassos’ rooftop taverna was typically twenty to thirty euros, a fraction of the cost compared to regular restaurants and the food was far more superb. I tucked five hundred euros next to an empty plate at our table before we left.
“That was delicious, thank you,” Odessa said as we returned to our car. “Kiss her,” Haze whispered to me.
“Tassos taught me everything I know,” Ninos said. “I’ll cook for you sometime.”
“We’ll stop at the apartment first, then the Howling Dogs.” Ten minutes later, we arrived at the apartment building. It was a luxury apartment building that allowed my father to stay in Athens instead of driving nearly four hours back to the pack.
“How are we going to get in?” Odessa asked as the elevator door dinged open to the top floor.
“Key.” I pulled the key I had found this morning while rummaging through my father's bedroom out of my pocket.
The apartment was large, cold, and sterile. It didn’t look like anyone has been here in a while, and had three bedrooms, an office with a great window view, and a large modern kitchen. I looked in the master bedroom and found a small selection of clothing, suits, shoes, and guns in the closet. Ninos joined me, he first looked under the bed before he moved to the nightstand drawers.
“Looks like the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” he laughed and held up a ball gag.
“Nothing interesting in the second bedroom,” Odessa called out and I gave Ninos a look that told him to drop the gag back into the drawer.
“At least it wasn’t a butt plug,” Odessa said from the doorway. Ninos had not been fast enough, and she had seen what was in his hand.
“Patience, there’s still a few more drawers,” Ninos laughed.
We moved to the third bedroom, and I decided to inspect the drawers this time. Odessa looked in the closet and Ninos looked in the bathroom. I heard a low growl and turned to find Odessa with her nose pressed to the fabric of a shirt.
“These clothes belonged to my father,” another growl rumbled through her as anger radiated in her aura.
Stefanos had been here before his death. After my father was killed, Stefanos probably needed to be closer to deal with mob business. This would have also been an ideal location for him to plot and plan his attacks on the packs.
“I don’t think he was here long. My brother discovered our father was living in Santorini before his death.”
“My father owns a home in Santorini,” I told her. “Kazimir is running a search on all the properties and assets linked to my father’s pack and yours. I’ll need to have a conversation with your brother about what we find.”
“My brother won’t want anything to do with it,” she shook her head.
We moved to the office, and I looked through the small file cabinet, there was nothing of any significance in there. Getting into the apartment was too easy, which told me that this was not where he kept important documents. This was not where he conducted mafia business. This was where he came to rest, shower, and bring back lovers for the night.
After turning up nothing at my father’s apartment, we made our way to the Howling Dogs nightclub. This place seemed to have more muscled security than the Adonis. The two men standing at the door collected money and allowed admittance, but there seemed to be more security standing at each corner of the building. I didn’t miss the fact they were all humans with guns discreetly tucked into the back of their pants.
“This has to be it. There’s a lot of goons protecting this place,” Odessa said through the mind link and I nodded in agreement.
“Are we just blending in with the crowd or taking them out?” Ninos asked.
“Let’s slip inside first and have a look around.” I pulled Odessa into my side, not sure if I could control myself if any of these fools so much as looked at her.
We moved to the door and Ninos was first to retrieve his wallet and pay the admittance fee for us. It was kind of steep for a regular night club and I had a feeling the Howling Dogs was more. The music was pumping, the strobe lights dancing, and bodies were grinding on the dance floor. Those who weren’t dancing either stood around the bar drinking or watched the three stripper poles currently being occupied by nearly naked ladies.
A stripper with short black hair blew Ninos a kiss and twisted the piercings on her nipples. Ninos winked at her and Odessa shook her head. “No time for a lap dance,” she reminded him and I bit back a laugh.
“We need to blend in and have a look around this place,” Ninos said.
“We’ll move around the dance floor and scope out the place, you hit the bar and observe from there,” I instructed. “And don’t get distracted.”
“We’re dancing?” Odessa asked.
“I’m taller than everyone here, I should be able to get a good look at everything while dancing.” I wrapped my arm over her shoulder and weaved our way to the center of the dance floor.
Odessa seemed unsure but quickly relaxed against me when I started dancing with her. I may have taken advantage of the opportunity to let my hands run down her curves, but she was irresistible to me. Sure it was sensual and erotic as I pulled her body to mine in a bump and grind, but we were just going with the flow of the music. It was all in the name of blending in.
“Keep telling yourself that,” Haze snickered in my mind.
My eyes caught the double doors at the far end of the bar that looked like they could lead to a hallway. I had noticed the restrooms in the front of the club and didn’t see any other doors. Metal stairs led to the two VIP lofts for private parties with stripper poles. Both were occupied with nearly a dozen people sipping champagne and watching the dancers whirl around on the poles.
Odessa had turned her back to me dancing and grinding her ass into me. She was teasing me, and she knew it. I reached my hand back and delivered a sharp spank to her ass. I nearly lost my mind when I heard a moan slip from her sweet lips instead of a shock of indignation.
“Will you two be needing a private room in the back?” Ninos teased as he made his way to the dance floor, holding a beer.
“I don’t see much else in here,” I told him.
“The double doors lead to a hallway. I assume only dancers are allowed to go back there with their clients interested in Private lap dances.” Ninos explained as we watched the double doors open and a dancer escorted a grinning man with an erection back out to the club. We moved off the dance floor to where a group of scantily clad club dancers stood.
“Excuse me,” I greeted one of the women. “My lady would like you to dance for her in private and I’d like to watch. I’m happy to pay double the price,” a dark smile curled on my face.
“Of course,” she smiled looking at my beautiful mate.
“What are you doing?” Odessa said through the mind link.
“Getting us into the back rooms, now play along.” We followed the dancer wearing a black leather ensemble.
“I’m not getting a lap dance,” she huffed.
“Would you rather I get one and you watch?” I asked and playfully smacked her ass. I couldn’t seem to stop touching her.
Ninos followed us with a dancer of his own, a redhead. The security guard led us to the private dance rooms the size of large walk-in closets. The walls were lined with dark red and black vintage wallpaper. A leather chaise lounge sat in front of a brass dance pole. I seated Odessa on the lounge and stood in the corner on the opposite side of the room, facing her.
“She’s not going to get fully naked is she?” Odessa asked anxiously through the mind link, looking like she was contemplating running out the door.
“Do you want me to close my eyes so you can enjoy it?” I grinned and she scowled at me.
