Chapter 42 My First Mating

Chapter 42 My First Mating
Phoebe

That night was the night I had been waiting for—the night when Hayden and I would finally become one, not just emotionally but physically.

My heart pounded as his hands touched my skin, slow and gentle, igniting a fire that made me crave more. I couldn’t hold back. I let myself surrender, parting my legs to welcome him, to feel the warmth only he could give me.

"Are you sure?" Hayden whispered, his voice husky, thick with restrained desire. His gaze locked onto mine, searching for final confirmation.

I nodded without hesitation. "Yes, I’m sure. I want you, Hayden. Only you."

A smile curved his lips, the kind that made my heart race even faster. His hands continued exploring my body, tracing every curve of the soft mounds on my brsts, memorizing every inch.

His breathing grew heavier, his touch more urgent, and then… I felt it. Slowly, Hayden's hardened length and covered by cndm entered my core, filling the space I hadn't realized I had been saving just for him.

A sharp pain shot through me. I saw the flicker of worry in Hayden’s eyes as he watched my face closely.

"I’m okay," I assured him, gripping his arm. "Keep going."

He hesitated, but I squeezed his hand, silently telling him that I could handle the pain of losing my virginity. And I could. Because soon, the discomfort faded, replaced by a wave of emotions so overwhelming I couldn’t put them into words.

This was the moment I gave all of myself to the man I loved. I surrendered to his embrace, offering him everything.

"I love you, Phoebe," Hayden whispered, his voice thick with emotion. He looked at me as if he couldn’t believe this was real.

"I love you too, Hayden," I whispered back, my voice barely audible over the storm of sensations consuming me. His arms tightened around me, pulling me even closer, as if he never wanted to let go.

Our hips moved together, finding the perfect rhythm. Every brush of his lips against my npps, every breath he exhaled against my bare skin, every whispered name felt like a song only we could hear.

I felt myself unravel, swept away by the pleasure only he could give me. And when we finally reached the climax together, I shattered—only to be remade, completely his.

Hayden let out a final groan, his body trembling above me. I felt his warm seed spill inside me. A bead of sweat rolled down his temple, and as I lay beneath him, I knew—we had just shared something profound.

Afterward, we lay in each other’s arms, breathless but utterly content. Hayden pulled me close, pressing a tender kiss to my forehead. "You’re amazing," he murmured in awe.

I smiled, warmth blooming in my chest. "So are you."

That night, we stayed awake, whispering sweet words meant only for each other. We dreamed about the future, about the life we could build together. Hayden talked about creating a pack deep in the forest, far from chaos, where we could live in peace. I laughed, imagining us as young lovers lost in our own world.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you," Hayden said suddenly, his voice serious. I turned to him, finding pure sincerity in his gaze.

"I do too," I admitted, feeling tears sting my eyes. "I can’t imagine my life without you."

We talked until sleep finally claimed us, wrapped in the warmth of each other’s embrace. It was perfect.

But perfection never lasted.

The next morning, a loud bang jolted us awake. The door flew open, and there stood Finley, his expression unreadable.

"What the hell is going on here?" he asked, his voice neutral but sharp.

I watched his eyes sweep across the cabin before landing on us. I quickly grabbed a hoodie from the sofa, sitting up as Hayden reached for his clothes.

"Making my mate happy," Hayden answered casually as he pulled on his shirt. "She’s officially mine now."

Finley let out a slow breath, looking slightly annoyed. "Do you even know what time it is? Professor Leach is doing a morning inspection, and I came straight here because your scents are everywhere."

Hayden smirked. "I did that on purpose. Is there a problem?"

Finley shook his head. "Oh, don’t be ridiculous. I’m not jealous like you, Hayden. Now hurry up, Phoebe. Before Professor Leach catches you here."

I quickly dressed, panic creeping into my chest. I gave Hayden a quick kiss on the cheek before following Finley out of the cabin. We rushed back to the main lodge, where the other Livingstone students had already gathered.

By the time we arrived, Professor Leach was calling names for roll. Relief washed over me as he said my name just as I stepped into the room.

Once roll call ended, Finley pulled me aside. "How did you end up in that cabin?" he asked, his voice low but filled with curiosity.

I took a deep breath and told him everything—from Hayden’s apology, to the moment he marked me, to the fact that we had fully bonded. Finley listened intently, but I saw something in his eyes—something that looked like disappointment.

"You didn’t leave a note. No message. Nothing. Even your phone was still in your room," he muttered, rubbing his temple. "I was searching for you all night, panicking."

Guilt stabbed at my chest. "I’m sorry, Finley. I didn’t mean to make you worry. I just... got caught up in the moment."

He sighed, then after a moment, a small smile tugged at his lips. "You scared the hell out of me, Phoebe. But I get it. This was important to you. Just... next time, let me know, okay?"

I nodded quickly. "I promise. And... thank you, Finley. You’re the most patient person I’ve ever met."

He chuckled softly, and for the first time, I saw it—how he had always been there for me. All this time, I had been so focused on Hayden that I had never noticed how much Finley cared.

And that realization stirred something unfamiliar inside me.

I loved Hayden. I was sure of that. But there was something about Finley that made me feel safe. Seen.

I didn’t know what it meant.

But I knew one thing—this feeling was entirely new.
