Chapter 136: Don't Force Me
Sophia bit her lip and lowered her head. She smiled when Benjamin couldn't see.
He really knew how to play weak.
Her heart softened a bit.
Benjamin kept watching Sophia. Although she didn't completely relax into his embrace, she didn't reject it either.
That was a good sign.
At least it meant she wasn't mad at him.
"Does your foot still hurt?"
Benjamin tried to please her again.
"Should I carry you back to the room? Or shall we go downstairs?
"Laura won't let me in the kitchen. Otherwise, we could have had dinner already."
He mentioned his cooking skills naturally, hoping to win her over with what she liked.
"Stay out of the kitchen!" Sophia grabbed his bandaged hand. "If your wound gets infected, you'll lose your hand and become disabled!"
She threatened him fiercely.
Benjamin couldn't help but laugh at her fierce words coming from such a soft and pretty face.
He held back his laughter to avoid angering her.
She was really adorable.
With a smile, Benjamin lifted Sophia in his arms and walked towards the master bedroom.
She was caught off guard and clung to his shoulders. She complained softly, "Stop carrying me around."
"I just want to hold you," Benjamin confessed straightforwardly.
When they reached the bedroom door, Benjamin tried to open it but found it locked. Sophia had locked it, and only she knew the code.
"What's the password?"
He asked calmly as if it was the most natural question.
Sophia looked at him with a cool expression.
Benjamin met her gaze.
"Benjamin..."
"Yes?"
"I haven't forgiven you yet."
So, he shouldn't try to get the password from her.
Benjamin retracted his hand from the lock and looked at Sophia.
"Sophia, I'm your husband..."
"Oh," Sophia responded coldly, showing no regard for his words.
Benjamin used both his injured hand and his other arm to hold her tightly. "Fine, we'll just stand here then."
"Put me down," Sophia demanded.
How long did he want to hold her?
Didn't it hurt?
"No."
Benjamin replied, dropping his polite demeanor.
It seemed he was determined to wait until she softened.
Sophia frowned, her eyes wide with anger.
"Are you threatening me?"
"It's a negotiation," Benjamin replied politely.
He didn't like her harsh words about their relationship.
Sophia struggled in his arms. "Let go of me!"
Benjamin, calm and composed, looked at her as if imprinting her lovely face into his memory.
He pressed his chin against her collarbone. "I can't."
He buried his head in her chest and nuzzled her like a puppy seeking affection.
The tickle of his hair made Sophia laugh.
"Benjamin!" she tried to stop him.
"What? You want to kiss me?"
Benjamin shamelessly moved closer. "Just do it."
Sophia cupped his face, her beautiful eyes shimmering.
For a moment, all she could see was him.
His grip loosened slightly, causing her to slide down a bit.
Benjamin tightened his hold.
Their noses almost touched, creating the perfect angle for a kiss.
His intense gaze was an open invitation, filled with raw desire. Sophia felt her whole body heat up under his scrutiny.
Losing her last bit of rationality, she leaned down and kissed him.
Bang!
Benjamin pinned Sophia against the bedroom door, closed his eyes, and kissed her passionately like a starving wolf devouring its prey.
Things quickly spiraled out of control.
Their kisses, initially gentle, grew heated.
Benjamin couldn't get enough.
He kissed her jaw, her neck, her collarbone. Their breaths became ragged.
Benjamin opened his eyes and stared at Sophia eagerly.
"Honey, open the door."
He coaxed her in a low and seductive voice.
Sophia took a deep breath to regain her composure. She shook her head with the last of her strength.
"No..."
Benjamin smirked.
"Fine, then we'll go to the guest room!"
He carried Sophia to the guest room where he'd been staying.
As long as she was there, any room was theirs.
Sophia landed on the soft bed.
The mattress felt just like the one in the master bedroom, but Benjamin said it was uncomfortable.
He really was good at lying.
Benjamin bent down and kissed her cheeks gently. His hands wandered under her blouse, feeling her smooth skin.
"Benjamin..."
Sophia held Benjamin's hand and took a deep breath.
"Hmm?"
Benjamin looked at her, his stern eyes now soft.
"I don't want to."
Benjamin paused, his hand venturing lower.
Feeling the moist warmth, he chuckled.
"Little liar."
She was clearly aroused but still denying it.
Sophia turned her face away.
"Don't force me."
Benjamin's smile froze.
His previously joyful expression scattered. Her words hurt him deeply.
"Force you?"
Did she know what she was saying?
"Benjamin, physical pleasure isn't love."
Sophia hoped he wouldn't confuse the two.
She had thought a lot about why he suddenly treated her so well. Everything changed after she slept with a gigolo.
When he was Lucas, they were always in bed together, so maybe Benjamin confused desire with love.
Although love must include sex, perhaps Benjamin was just addicted to her body.
He liked Sophia's body, not Sophia herself.
How far could two people with only desire go?
She didn't want to repeat past mistakes. She didn't want to be abandoned again. She didn't want to wait for her husband alone at home.
"What do you mean?"
Benjamin couldn't understand Sophia at all.
He only felt hurt by her words.
What kind of person did she think he was?
A thug who abducted women off the street, or a rapist who killed and robbed?
Benjamin grabbed Sophia's chin to force her to look at him.
Sophia blinked her watery eyes.
She pressed her lips together. Those lips he had tasted so fiercely were now watery and rosy.
Benjamin found her ridiculous. His rough thumb pressed against those soft, tender lips, and he reminded her through gritted teeth,
"You kissed me first!"
