Chapter 65 Cynthia Is Pregnant
Cynthia's words were full of provocation.
Joanna felt bitter inside. In three years of marriage, she and Chris had sex quite a lot, but they never had children.
She used to feel regretful about it, but now she felt relieved.
If she and Chris had a child together, the divorce would be even harder, and she wouldn't be able to choose between the child and her freedom.

But she didn't expect to see Chris at the nursing home when she got off work that evening.

He pressed his lips together: "Grandpa is getting old, and Mom wants to hold a grandchild. She wants us to try harder and have a baby soon."
Joanna frowned. Didn't Cynthia say Chris already knew about her pregnancy?
Why was he still asking her to have a baby?
"Go find Cynthia. She'd be very willing!"
Chris scolded disapprovingly: "Why are you bringing her up? Cynthia has nothing to do with this. Don't blame your own anger on her. I admit I might not have cared about you enough before, but are you without fault? You stayed home all day doing nothing, just revolving around me. Silence spread. Chris had no idea how the call ended.
Seeing Joanna's mocking eyes again, he actually felt a desire to escape.
How could this happen? Cynthia was pregnant!
