"ROSE!" The shrill screams of a man's baritone voice filled the luxurious downtown apartment. The man's face was red and his jaw clenched. The muscles in his forehead were sticking out and his eyes were wide. His brows knit together tighter when he saw the woman he called out leisurely. "Why do you shout, doctor Robert Miller?" A cynical smile graced Rose's beautiful face. "Aren't you afraid that your voice will drop and you won't be able to appear on your proud television show? You asked … Dr. Robert and answered." Rose chuckled at the words full of ridicule. Rose's laughter made Robert even more emotional. The man looked at Rose with hatred. "What does all this mean?" Robert threw a pile of photos in front of the woman. Rose glanced at the scattered photos, ignoring them. The woman smirked in satisfaction at Robert's reaction. Rose was satisfied to see Robert hurt and even humiliated. This famous man all over the world will be even more famous, if the world finds out he has lost his bride. Hey! It was just that Rose didn't expect the bride's reaction to be too fast. Should have let Robert stand at the altar without a bride was more shocking. The journalist's camera spotlight certainly will not release the hot news just like that. "What's with the photo?" The beautiful woman took a photo. "Ow, this is a picture of you with Ruby? You guys look so cute and adorable." Rose's voice was soft, but full of ridicule. "You did this on purpose, didn't you?" Robert approached Rose with a smirk on his face. The man gripped the shoulders of the woman in front of him with both hands, so that their bodies were almost pressed together. Their eyes met like flashes of lightning striking each other and preparing to destroy their opponent. "Why do you have to accuse me? It could be that one of your hurt ex-girlfriends wants revenge." Rose fearlessly flashed a sinister smile. She lifted his face to challenge Robert. "Are you sure you haven't done anything wrong? Do you really want Rosa to leave me and expect me to get hurt!" Robert suppressed his purposeful voice. The woman stomped Robert's hand which gripped her shoulder hard. Rose looked at Robert hatefully. Robert's words of error made her very angry. The fault was not with her, but of course all the fault was with Robert. "Didn't you not want Kenzie from the start? Then why are you interfering with our lives, famous Doctor!" Rose's breath hitched when she finished saying her sentence. Robert lowered his head and brought his lips close to Rose's ear. He bit her earlobe in exasperation, but wouldn't let her out of his grip. "I won't forgive you, Rose! I won't allow you to be a contented onlooker laughing!" Robert's threats made Rose laugh out loud. "I've been laughing out loud, Robert." Rose clapped loudly. "I'm happy to see your downfall. Can't wait to see your name make the headlines." "We'll see," Robert hissed with a meaningful look. The man let go of Rose and hid a smile, as he turned away from her body. His grin grew wider as an idea flashed through his intelligent mind. Prang! Rose gasped in surprise at the sound of the thick glass table shattering from the punch from the handsome doctor. Robert's hands were covered in blood, dripping down the shards of glass. The man's face was black with knitted brows. "You dare challenge me too much, Rose!" "I will never let you be happy after what you did to Ruby, my sister." said Rose fearlessly. "Are you sure it's just Ruby? Not because you're jealous?" Robert's sarcastic remark took Rose by surprise. "I am jealous?" Rose laughed, covering her pounding heart. Robert raised his head to look at Rose, the look on the man's face changed very quickly. Casually the handsome man who has a dashing body, walked to the sink and cleaned the blood on his hands. His demeanor was so calm as if he didn't feel the slightest pain in his hand. The young doctor who was famous and became the image of a famous hospital in Miami, smiled faintly at Rose. He took gauze from the kit box and bandaged the wound. His face didn't show the slightest bit of pain. Robert's calm demeanor and the smile on the man's face as he looked at him gave Rose the chills. The woman knew that the man must have planned something bad. The angel of darkness could be seen in his cold eyes. "Alright Rose, now we're going to bond with each other." "Bound?" Rose didn't understand where Robert was talking. "You think I will cancel my wedding? Hahaha no, you are wrong if you think you can embarrass me!" This time, Robert laughed loudly. Rose frowned, not understanding what Robert meant. "You will replace Rosa, O Rose Gonzalez." The handsome doctor chuckled, "It's a good thing you two have similar names." Rose raised an eyebrow, giving Robert a scornful look. He couldn't understand what made the man think he would agree to such a stupid thing. Marry? "You think I want to be your wife?" Rose laughed scornfully. "Not in millions of time." "Yes, you will replace Rosa! I don't need you to be my wife, because I just need you to stand there in Rosa's place." The emphasis in every word that is spoken shows that Robert means it. "Hahaha… you think I'd be willing to wear a wedding dress, let alone side with you in front of the altar?" Rose laughed sarcastically. "My oath of allegiance is not to a man like you." Robert stepped quietly into the refrigerator and took out a bottle of mineral water, he gulped down half the bottle. Arguing with Rose, so exhausting. Only that woman could overwhelm herself. "You know what happens if you reject me?" The man pulled up a chair to sit down, "First, I will keep Kenzie out of your reach. Second, I will have Romeo deported. Third, I will sell you to a brothel. Ah, no! The brothel is too light for you, how about you donate one … each of your organs?" Robert's calm but threatening words gave Rose the chills. She did not expect that the actions she took to hurt and humiliate Robert would actually boomerang that destroys him. "I won't! Don't expect you to take Kenzie away from me." There was a hint of worry in Rose's voice that made Robert feel triumphant. "Okay," Robert pulled his cell phone out of his jacket pocket, ready to dial a number. "With one call, immigration will come to your daddy, drag the old man over and send him back to Mexico." The sly grin on Robert's face convinced Rose that it wasn't just a threat. Instantly the woman's body went limp, at the thought of her sickly father being taken away by immigration authorities and returned to a country that didn't even want to accept him. "Don't do that," said Rose weakly. Robert was satisfied to see the rabbit that had previously behaved like a wolf, now cowering in fear. "This woman must understand who is the predator here," thought Robert. "The decision is yours, Rose." Robert ignored the misty look in Rose's eyes, because to him, his reputation and that of the Millers were more important. "Don't hurt my daddy," he pleaded. Robert raised his eyebrows, waiting for Rose to say the important words. The moment of silence that was created did not make Robert answer Rose's regret. "I--I… I will be your bride." Rose clenched her fists when finally forced to say the taboo sentence. She tried her best to hold back her tears falling in front of the man she hated so much. "Send all the bridal make-up to Rose's apartment today and bring some of your men to stand guard here." Robert hung up the phone after calling one of his bodyguards. "I won't let my bride run away." Robert laughed with satisfaction seeing Rose's trembling body. He had forgotten his anger at being abandoned by Rosa, his real bride-to-be. Now Robert feels he has something more challenging, namely Rose.
