Rose's heart was relieved, because her little family now had a place to live. Even though the place was very small and only had one bed, Rose felt at ease. She has also started paying in installments by prioritizing men with heart disease first. Rose paid no heed to the scorn of her old neighbor, who only got a small share. Rose chooses to use her money to buy a used bicycle at a flea dealer. She gave it to Dulce to take and pick up Kenzie from school. "One package A and two packages B." Rose was quick to serve customers. The girl was thrilled to have found an additional job as a cashier at a fast food restaurant, for six hours in the morning. The small income did not discourage her as several times she was allowed to bring in the leftovers of the night. In addition to working in a fried chicken restaurant, this great woman also works at a coffee shop from afternoon to evening. The work that Ruby once did has now become her livelihood. "Rose, do you want extra work? The pay is great." Clara's question of her new place intrigued Rose. "As long as it's not morning, I still have time." Rose seemed interested in Clara's offer. "Relax, this work starts from eleven at night to four in the morning." Clara smiled mysteriously. "What kind of job is that? Don't tell me you're a night watchman or a verse room," said Rose with a shudder. "The pay is great, Rose, from fifty dollars to a hundred an hour. If you do a good job they'll sign you." Clara then whispered to the woman. "I can sometimes make a thousand dollars a day." Rose couldn't believe what she was hearing. She couldn't believe there was a job so easy earning that kind of money so young. "I'm just a high school graduate, Clara, could they possibly pay that much? Or maybe you want to register me as a guinea pig for a drug company?" Rose looked at her new friend suspiciously. "You're way too far, Rose." Clara chuckled. "Come with me tonight, you are beautiful and your body is slender, you will definitely get away quickly. Especially with a mixed Asian face like you." Rose frowned in surprise at Clara's words. She doesn't understand what physically has to do with work. The girl was about to ask again, but the sheer number of customers kept her busy again. The night is getting late until finally the coffee shop will close soon. Rose packed up and got ready to go home. She had almost forgotten her promise to Clara, until the girl approached her. "Come on, I'll show you a place to make a lot of money overnight." Clara pulled Rose's hand towards her motorbike. Without asking any further questions, Rose decided to follow the girl's invitation. She does need some extra money. The two jobs she currently has are only enough to support living and schooling, not to pay off the enormous debt. Rose needed one more job, though she knew with three jobs she had almost no time to rest. Rose has no other choice, she is reluctant to ask anyone for help including her biological sister, Ryan. She didn't want Ryan's concentration for his future to be disturbed due to the current situation she was in. There was at least one person who had to be successful in her family, Rose thought sincerely. "We have arrived." Clara stopped her motorbike in a quiet alley. "Here? What's going on in a place like this?" Rose looked around and she didn't understand what Clara meant. The quiet place was only a multi-storey building that was clearly used only as a parking lot for vehicles. "Are we going to stay overnight in this place?" Rose's innocent question made Clara laugh out loud. "You really are innocent and naive Rose. Boss must like you." After locking the motorbike, Clara grabbed Rose's hand to follow her. They entered a room and there Rose saw life. There are lots of big guys with tattoos. After speaking with the man who was the bodyguard, Clara led Rose into another room. This time they arrived at a different place. Rose was stunned to see so many women with heavy makeup wearing extraordinarily minimal clothes. The young and beautiful women were talking, laughing without any burdens. Rose could feel every eye looking at her curiously. He became uncomfortable being in their midst. The girl wanted to get out of there, but Clara was suddenly not by her side, making Rose uneasy. "This is my friend, Boss. She needs a job and a lot of extra money." Clara suddenly appeared with a tall man wearing a very large gold chain necklace. "Hmm… that's fine. She can be a guest companion, a drink seller, a waiter or maybe you can be a dancer?" The man who was called Boss looked at Rose. "Can you dance?" Rose looked at Clara and the Boss didn't understand. None of their words made her understand the kind of work in this place. "Is this a discotheque?" Her innocent question was answered with Boss' faint smile. "This is more than just a discotheque. This place is much more classy, because only famous people with a lot of money can enter. Not everyone has access, not even the President of America," Clara said confidently. Rose looked around and couldn't believe what Clara was saying. A narrow room like this, how could it possibly be a luxurious place visited only by important people. "What should I do?" asked Rose again, staring uncomfortably at the scantily clad women around her. "Clara, show her the job here. Report to Tom which job she wants." The man is seen rushing away after getting an important looking phone. "New kid, Clara?" A red-haired girl approached them. "Yes, my friend." "Looks inexperienced huh?" The girl looked at Rose with a questioning look. "She'd better work as a toilet cleaner." The woman's words were met with laughter from the other girls. Rose didn't care about their laughter, she turned to Clara who looked annoyed. The girl walked after her friend who went to another room which turned out to be to change clothes. "What are you doing here?" asked Rose as she watched Clara change into a super mini dress. "I'm in charge of accompanying guests to drink, sometimes also as a cocktail waitress. Trust me, an hour can be up to fifty-five dollars. If you can serve guests well, they won't hesitate to give you extra tips." Clara paused to apply lipstick to her lips. "You can do other non-guest related jobs, but the pay is very low." Clara looked at Rose reassuringly. "Trust me, it's worth it." Rose hesitated, seeing how Clara looked she wasn't sure if she could do the job.
