Piper’s POV
I realized Lisa has the same curious gaze as Max. She stood in front of us, smiling with pride.
“I’m going to see Ethan. Ethan’s been the only person Megan’s been close to. There’s no way we’re going to see Erin, Megan’s mom. So, the only person we’re going to see is Ethan. Hopefully, we can get a lot of information from him. The last I heard, he refused to get engaged to Megan. I guess he finally realized that he was just a tool for Megan. After that, I heard nothing more from him,” Lisa replied.
“I’m smart, right?” she asked.
“Yes, you are. But, there’s one thing I’m missing. How are you going to get information from Ethan? He’s not stupid and you’ve told me he loves Megan. There’s no way he would get the woman he loves in trouble,” Max asked.
I continued to listen carefully to their conversation. What they both said was true.
“I can’t tell. You just wait, I’ll come with the information. When are we going to do our plan?” Lisa asked as she smoothed her wind-blown hair.
“As soon as possible. The twins have been missing for a while,” Max replied with a serious look on his face.
“Then you know what you have to do, right Max? You’re coming with me tonight,” Lisa invited.
“Ok. Just remember to record everything he says,” Max replied.
“Of course,” Lisa replied.
“Are you sure this will work?” I asked. I was honestly worried for both of them. But for finding information, Lisa and Max were the experts.
“Sure. Take it easy. We’ll also be working with a police officer. He was my father’s close friend. I’ll ask for his help for tonight, so we have nothing to worry about,” Lisa replied confidently.
“Alright then. I’ll be waiting at home. Don’t forget to keep me posted. Oh, there’s one more thing. When I called Megan, I could hear the waves crashing. It seemed like she was in the middle of the ocean,” I said.
“The middle of the ocean? That means she was sailing somewhere from the pier you said was unused. But where? Did the police find any boats around there?” Lisa asked as she frowned, seemingly deep in thought.
“There’s nothing there. Isn’t this strange? So, where is the ship that took them to that place?” I asked. No matter how I tried to decipher this mystery, all possibilities seemed impossible. Perhaps we needed to explore the area around the pier? But the police should have already explored the area around the pier.
“Hide. There must be a place to hide around there that not everyone knows about. The question is whether the police have explored the area thoroughly?” Lisa replied. Both eyebrows shot up.
Lisa was right. She was thinking the same thing as me. What might have happened was that the police focused on looking for the boat used by the perpetrators, so there was one or more thing that escaped their notice. Maybe I could tell Jay about this.
“You guys focus on Ethan alone. I’ll ask Jay to explore the area around the pier and tell the police about this. No matter how little information we get, it’s precious to me. Thank you, guys, for helping me,” I said as I wiped the clear liquid that was slowly flowing down my face.
Lisa rushed to sit on my right side and hugged me. Max, who was sitting on my left side, also hugged us both.
“You’re pregnant, don’t think too much. Leave this matter to Jay, the police, and us. Understand? We don’t want you and the baby in your womb to be stressed,” Lisa said. Max nodded in agreement with Lisa’s words.
“Okay. Then before you go on duty tonight, I’ll cook lunch for you. Let’s go inside,” I said.
I hoped their mission was successful. We need a lot of information and evidence to help the police catch the kidnappers. And I had high hopes for Lisa and Max.
Later that night.
Lisa’s POV
The car driven by Max stopped right in front of the bar, where Ethan usually spent time after work. From what I heard, his family was having financial problems.
His father had an affair and spent a huge amount of money on the woman he was having an affair with and lost focus on running the business. His mother was just a housewife who didn’t know how to run a business. Ethan, who likes to party, prefers to spend his time with prostitutes and alcohol, forgetting all his obligations as an heir. These things made the internal state of their company lose making and chaos.
Ah, what a pity. Maybe this was the law of karma for Ethan, who had betrayed and hurt Piper in the past.
“Max, are you ready?” I asked as I checked the cell phone I would use to record my conversation with Ethan.
“Yes. Your phone?” he asked.
“It’s ready. Keep monitoring the bar area, and if anything happens to me, call the police immediately. Ok?” I replied.
“Ok. Good luck,” he replied.
I got out of the car and walked toward the entrance of the bar, which was guarded by two men. I found their bodies very sexy.
I immediately took out my ID card and showed it to them. It didn’t take long. They immediately let me in.
According to the chat between me and Ethan this afternoon, he asked me to come to the VIP room at the back of the building.
I continued to walk past the passers-by ranging from drunk, perverted, kissing, and so on. The dim hallway lights made it a little difficult for me to walk faster, besides this was my first time coming to this bar.
A few minutes later, I was standing in front of the door of the large room. On the side of the door was written the room number in large letters. From outside the room, I faintly heard the voices of two people talking. Could Ethan have invited Megan? If he had invited Megan to come here, then my efforts were wasted.
But I opened the door anyway and when the door opened, I saw a woman lying naked on the sofa with her legs wide open and Ethan in the middle of her thighs. Ethan was fucking her.
The woman’s face looked calm and not panicked when I walked into the room. Instead, she seemed to enjoy Ethan’s tongue and fingers inside her pussy. Her tiny pink lipstick-covered lips let out a soft moan. Her large breasts moved as her body fidgeted with pleasure.
When Ethan realized I was already in the room, he stopped performing oral sex on her, then he grabbed his shirt that was lying on the sofa at the back of his body and covered her body, then told her to get out of it. Despite her reluctance, the woman came out half-naked, carrying her clothes and shoes.
“Have a seat, Lisa. Sorry for the embarrassing thing you saw earlier. I was just trying to entertain myself and calm my muddled mind,” he said.
I sat on the sofa across from him. As I poured wine into an empty glass, I said, “Maybe you’d like to share some of your burdens with me by telling me what’s really on your mind. Who knows, I might help you.”
