Maisie's POV
The next day, I started to calm down. I listened to Angga’s explanation with confusion and frustration. “So, all this just because she felt sidelined?” I asked, trying to understand her motivation.
Angga nodded. “Yeah, it seems she felt uncomfortable with your closeness. She might think you’re too possessive, so she tried to ruin your relationship.”
“That’s so ridiculous,” I said, shaking my head. “I just wanted to protect our relationship, and suddenly she does this?”
Angga sighed. “Sometimes, people can act impulsively, especially if they feel threatened or jealous. The important thing is that you and Alexander can trust each other.”
I felt a little calmer hearing that explanation, but the pain remained. “I don’t want any more problems like this. I just want to live normally and happily.”
“Try talking to Alexander about this,” Angga suggested. “Let him know how you feel. Communication is important.”
I nodded, feeling that was a good step. I wanted to resolve this issue with Alexander and ensure we weren’t affected by unnecessary drama.
“Thank you, Angga,” I said sincerely. “I appreciate your support.”
After chatting with Angga, I felt more ready to move on with my day. Maybe, by speaking openly with Alexander, we could find a way to tackle this issue together.
Alexander approached me. “How are you feeling today?”
I looked at Alexander, feeling warmth and care in his gaze. “I’m feeling better, but… honestly, I still feel a bit traumatized after yesterday’s incident,” I replied, my voice trembling.
Alexander nodded, understanding. “I can imagine. That situation must have been really tough for you. No one wants to experience something like that, especially in front of a crowd.”
“True,” I said, exhaling. “I feel like everyone looks at me differently after that accusation. It feels like I can’t enjoy big events anymore.”
He stepped closer, extending his hand and holding mine. “We can find ways to make you feel more comfortable. Maybe we can start with smaller, more relaxed events, just the two of us.”
“Yeah, that sounds good,” I replied, feeling a bit calmer. “I just need time to recover from that experience.”
“I’ll always be by your side,” he said, his smile reassuring. “We’ll get through this together. Don’t hesitate to share your feelings anytime.”
I felt moved hearing his words. There was something comforting about his presence. “Thank you, Alexander. I don’t know what I would do without your support.”
“No need to thank me,” he said gently. “I’m here for you. We’ll face all of this together.”
“Oh, by the way, Neo said he’s officially divorced from Erina. He deserves someone better than her,” Alexander remarked.
Hearing Neo’s name reminded me of the past. “Oh, so he’s really divorced from Erina?” I asked, trying to catch all the information.
Alexander nodded. “Yeah, he said it’s official. Neo really deserves someone better. Erina never appreciated him.”
I felt mixed emotions. On one hand, I was happy to hear that Neo could be free from an unhealthy relationship. On the other hand, I felt a bit heavy remembering our past. “I wish him the best,” I said, trying to be honest.
“He really needs someone who can support him and not make him feel pressured,” Alexander added. “You know, sometimes people have to learn from their experiences to find happiness.”
“True,” I replied. “I hope he can find that happiness. But I also hope we can keep our distance from the drama of the past.”
Alexander looked at me seriously. “Make sure you don’t feel burdened by the past. We are here and now. That’s what matters.”
I smiled, feeling relieved by his support and understanding. “Thank you, Alexander. I really appreciate your attitude.”
“We will keep moving forward,” he said. “Nothing can stop us.”
With that confidence, I felt more ready to face the future. With Alexander by my side, I knew we could get through anything.
“I’m off tomorrow. How about we go to the beach?” Alexander suggested.
“The beach? That sounds amazing!” I replied, feeling a new excitement flow through me. “It could be the perfect way to relax and enjoy time together.”
Alexander smiled, clearly pleased with my reaction. “Yes, I think we need some time alone, away from all the drama of yesterday. And it could also be a sort of babymoon for us.”
“Exactly!” I said, feeling happiness flood my heart. “I can’t wait to feel the sea breeze and hear the sound of the waves. It will be so refreshing.”
“We can bring a picnic, maybe your favorite food?” Alexander proposed, his eyes shining.
“I’ve heard you know how to make a great sandwich,” I said, laughing. “I’m sure I’ll really enjoy that!”
“Deal, I’ll prepare it,” he replied confidently. “We can also take a walk on the beach and enjoy the sunset.”
“Oh, that will be so romantic,” I said, imagining that beautiful scene. “I can’t wait.”
With plans already in mind, I felt more excited and ready to spend quality time with him. Little moments like this were so meaningful, and I hoped to create wonderful memories at the beach.
That morning, I felt excited as I prepared snacks for the trip to the beach. I made sure all the food I packed was healthy and nutritious, according to the nutritionist's recommendations. “This is for me and the little one,” I whispered with a smile, imagining the beautiful moments with Alexander.
Once finished, I packed everything into a lovely picnic basket. When Alexander arrived, he looked amazed at my preparations. “Wow, you’re really ready for this adventure,” he said, smiling broadly.
“Thank you! I wanted to make sure we had good food,” I replied, feeling proud of my efforts.
“This all looks delicious. I can’t wait to try it,” he said, helping carry the basket to the car.
The drive to the beach was enjoyable. We chatted and laughed, relishing each other's company. Upon arrival, the scent of the sea and the sound of the waves greeted us immediately. I felt as if all the burdens on my shoulders vanished instantly.
After finding a comfortable spot on the sand, we spread out the blanket and began unpacking the food. “Here we go, healthy sandwiches and fresh salad for us,” I said as I served the snacks.
Alexander took a bite of the sandwich I made and nodded in satisfaction. “This is really good! You definitely know how to cook.”
“Thank you! I’m happy you like it,” I replied, feeling joy seeing him enjoy the food.
After eating, we strolled along the beach, feeling the soft sand beneath our feet. The sea breeze blew gently, and the atmosphere felt so peaceful.
“This is a perfect day,” Alexander said, holding my hand. “I’m glad we can spend time like this.”
I looked at him, feeling warmth in my heart. “Me too. This is a very meaningful moment for both of us.”
We continued walking, savoring every second of this beautiful day while imagining a bright future together.
With every step on the beach, that feeling of happiness deepened. I envisioned the future, what it would be like to be a mother and to raise this baby with Alexander. “I hope I can be a good mother,” I said softly, almost like a whisper.
Alexander looked at me gently. “You definitely can. From what I see, you’re already showing so much love and care. That’s the most important thing.”
Hearing his compliments brought a sense of calm to my heart. “I want to give everything I can for him,” I replied, stroking my growing belly. “I want him to grow up in an environment full of love.”
“And you’re not alone,” he said, holding my hand tighter. “We will do this together. I will always be by your side.”
His words made me feel more optimistic. “Thank you, Alexander. Your support means so much to me.”
We paused for a moment, enjoying the beautiful view of the sea. The waves gently lapped at the shore, and a positive aura surrounded us. “Today is a reminder that we can create beautiful memories together,” I said, feeling grateful.
“Absolutely. This is just the beginning of our journey,” he replied, smiling.
I felt excited to go through every stage of this journey with Alexander. Today was a beautiful start, and I knew that with his support, I would be able to be a good mother and create a happy family.
The end.
