The bodyguard that Elena hired came in less than two days. Mona couldn't believe it when she saw the tiny girl named Betty Vale in front of her. She called Elena and asked, "Are you sure she's a bodyguard? Can she protect us?”
Elena couldn't help but laugh. "Of course. Just wait and see.”
Betty said as Mona hung up the phone, "You must have doubts about my skills, right?"
Mona didn't hide it anymore because Betty was so direct. She agreed and continued, "I don't like to judge a book by its cover, but your looks are misleading."
Betty was used to being asked these kinds of questions. She said, "I think that all the security guards at the entrance to your company look like martial artists. Why don't you let them try to beat me?”
Mona thought for a moment. "Are you sure? They chose their skills carefully for the company's safety.”
Betty nodded with confidence. Mona had to ask Williams to bring four people.
"it will be bad if we hurt her."
"It's all right. Go ahead.” Betty looked at them with no interest. "Come at me all at once."
The four security guys all grinned right away. They looked at each other and agreed to teach Betty a lesson. The four of them rushed forward and trapped her down from four different sides before attacking her hard. Their attacks were a little all over the place at initially. Even yet, their faces slowly got more serious after being blocked a few times. Three minutes later, the four people dropped to the ground.
Mona noticed how bad the security guards were doing and stated, "Your pay this month has been doubled.”
She sadly said sorry to Betty when the security guys left. "Sorry, I shouldn't have judged you based on how you look right now."
Betty looked about for a second and said, "It's... It's okay. Can I be your bodyguard now?”
Mona noticed that she was nervous and smiled right away. "Of course, I need you to keep a close eye on the two kids all day and night. You have to be careful, even if they go to kindergarten.”
She gave Betty the kindergarten address.
Mrs. Donovan called her just as she was going to ask the driver to take Betty there.
"I believe I should come stay, Miss Hunt." Mrs. Donovan said. "I don't want your money. Why don't you let me live with you? I can do all the cleaning and sanitation. I won't take money.” Mrs. Donovan said.
Mona arched her eyebrows and inquired, "Do you really want to work for me?"
"Yes.” Mrs. Donovan sounded like she meant it.
Mona was quiet for sometime and said yes.
“Thank you so much. I’ll began work tomorrow.”
“Okay, I’ll send you my address.” Mona answered in a relaxed way and then hung up.
Betty, who had remained quiet the whole time, said, " So you’ll really allow her to come stay here?”
Mona frowned and asked. "Why do you ask?”
"Is it really safe? I mean…”
"It’s fine, just keep an eye on Mrs. Donovan when she gets to the villa from tomorrow." Mona said.
Betty nodded with a serious look on her face.
"Come on. Let’s go.” Mona smiled at her and picked up the coat off the chair.
"Let me show you to my kids.” Mona said.
Betty nodded.
Mona presented Betty to Luke and Rue when they got back to the villa. She didn't say who Betty was, but she did say that Betty was her younger sister that came to take care of them.
"Wow! You're pretty, aunt Betty.” Rue glanced at Betty and spoke.
"Thanks. Ru.” Betty smiled.
Mr. and Mrs. Jenner already knew who Betty was. They smiled politely when they observed how well she got along with the kids.
Mona grabbed the chance to tell them, "A new person will come tomorrow. I'm sorry, but you need to pay more attention to her. Her name is Mrs. Donovan.”
Mr. and Mrs. Jenner had been through a lot. They realized something was amiss with the new person as soon as they heard what Mona said. They nodded right away and replied, "No problem. Don't worry. We will never let her touch something she shouldn't.”
Mona had a lot of faith in them, and her heart felt at ease. The next day, Mrs. Donovan came to the villa with only a few things.
Mona quickly explained the basics of the estate and then went to work. But Mrs. Donovan smiled at everyone in the room in a way that it meant something.
