Ivy's POV

My lips curved into a satisfactory smile. It was pain I wanted Lily to feel and it was pain she was feeling. She thinks life was all about her but it wasn't. I have constantly hoped that she cries and there it was, happening right in my face.

My wishes were coming to pass.
" I still can't believe that she would lie about being pregnant so she can stay in the family, so she can ruin your wedding day and be with Oscar," Anderson said.

I was not surprised about it, she was someone I knew and I was aware of the things she was capable of doing. It did not come off as a surprise to me.

I stayed at the window as I wished to hear their voices arguing but I know it won't happen because my step-mother had arrived and she was going to find a way to silence them.

I stayed there hoping to hear that noise but instead heard a knock on the door. I stopped and looked at the door as I looked at Anderson as well.

" It might be your maid," Anderson said.
I did not think so. I walked to the door and opened it, only to see my step-mother at the door.

Her eyes had so much hatred towards me, but I do not care about that. She has had those eyes on me for ages and it did nothing to me.
" What do you want from me?" I asked her.

" I want to speak to you for a moment, can you spare a minute?" She asked.
That was the kindest she has ever been, she does not speak to me in that manner.

" Can you not say whatever you want to say in this place?" Anderson asked.
Maybe he was trying to protect me from her and does not want me to be left alone with her.

But I was going to be fine.
" It is about the family and it won't be nice that I spill the family's tea right in your presence, there should be some dignity, you know that right?" She said to him,

He raised his hands in surrender as I left the room.
I got outside and she tried to drag me by the hands but I was way above such treatment.

I moved her hands away.
" If you want to speak to me, you can do that gently," I said.

She was surprised that I would talk to her in that manner, but I knew I was going to talk to her however I wanted, she dares not stand in my way.

I am no longer that girl she ordered around, I had to make it clear to her that she no longer has that right over me.

" I'm listening" I tried to bring her out of her shock.

She adjusted herself and looked at me like I was going crazy.

" You did not have to do what you did, and you are the reason lily is having issues with Oscar, they were living very peacefully until you said all you said about her"

" Is that why you are here? I said the truth and Oscar deserves to know the truth, she was never pregnant and I did a good thing for the family " I said.

She raised her hands but stopped mid air, she was trying to hit me?
" Don't you dare piss me off right now, you know what you want to do is the craziest thing ever, don't try to do it" I warned her.

She sighed as she brought her hands down. I guess the information has been passed to her.
" I will make sure you get thrown out of here, you won't stay here for long, and if I were you, I would go find a place to stay instead of hoping to remain here" she said.

She was always threatening me and it would be silly of me to bend towards her and her silly threats.

" Do whatever you wish to do to me, I do not care about it, go ahead and lie all you can, because that is the only thing you are good at" I said to her face.

She was so furious but it was none of my business, she thought I was going to shake and plead with her but I'm not doing that.

" If I were you, I would apologize to Lily so she can change her mind. I am sure you won't be able to survive it when we come for you and that pregnancy you think you have will definitely be taken away from you" she said to my face.

I gasped, she dared not try to kill my child, my hands ran to my stomach as I tried to protect it.
Why would she say that? I swore to protect this child with everything I have and not let anything happen to him.

I knew I was going to be gone, and this child would be left under the card of Anderson.
" Do not dare me, it won't be funny, you have to let go of that thought as it does not suit you" I tried to speak in a calm way even though my heart was hurting and I wanted to yell so much.

" You can stop me if you can," she said with a mean look.

My baby wasn't even born yet and she already planned on taking him out of the way.
I was furious but I had to stay calm so it does not look like she was already making me worried.

" I'll be here to watch you do that, let's see if you succeed with it" I said.
I had to leave, so she did not say any more words to me.
I did not return to Anderson's room, I went back to my room where I could shed some tears, not out of defeat but because I felt tired already, everyone seemed to be fighting me.
