Chapter 65
Ava then sighted Jason from far, she was excited and ran to him.
“Hey little princess, how was your first day at school?” Jason asked smiling sheepishly.
“It wasn’t that good, a boy bullied me.”
Ava replied.
“Ahh, don’t mind them, I love you, you know, and am here to take you home.”
Jason said.
“Thanks, uncle,” Ava replied.
He opened the door for her and she entered, he entered too.
“Why didn’t you get married uncle Jason?”
Ava asked.
“Because I had loved your aunt Lena and your mom was right when she says Elena once chose me over Harrison, but she grows to love him now, faith I guess,” Jason said.
“Those that means aunt Elena and my dad are bad?” Ava asked
“I don’t know, anyhow you think,” Jason replied and when he noticed the sad look on Ava’s face, he feel happy.
“You know, I really missed Elena.” He added.
HARRISON MANSION.
“I just called the headmistress and she told me Ava is not in school,” Harrison said.
“What, where could she be, for goodness sake she is just new, she knows nowhere,” Elena said worriedly.
“Maybe is nothing to worry about.”
Harrison said.
“God, I have to be worried when I know we are surrendered by enemies, I can’t imagine something happened to Ava, I will never forgive myself,” Elena said pacing around the room.
The door opened and Ava and Harrison appeared, Elena was super excited as she ran and hug Ava.
“Oh my God, I thought something happened to you,” Elena said and peak Ava.
Ava didn't reply.
“Jason, why did you take Ava from school?” Harrison asked.
“I was passing through the school so I decided to get her since I’m also her uncle, right Ava?” Jason asked.
Ava nodded.
“You look quiet, is something wrong with you?” Elena asked.
“No I don’t think so, maybe she is tired.”
Jason replied.
“I’m not asking you, Jason, let Ava talk.”
Elena half yelled.
“Aunt Elena, why will you hurt uncle Jason, why will you choose him over my dada? Why will you both play with their feelings, I know you are not bad, but why?” Ava asked
Elena was surprised.
“Wait, who said that to you, where did you get that idea from Ava?” Elena asked.
“Uncle Jason told me everything,” Ava replied and ran upstairs.
Elena looked at Jason shocked.
“Uhmm, that’s not what I said to her,” Jason said scratching his hair, he never thought Ava will tell Elena
“Really Jason? Ava is just a kid and you install this idea in her mind? What the hell are you going to gain from doing that?” Elena shouted angrily.
“I’m sorry okay, Ava just asked why her mum said so and I have no option but to say the truth,” Jason replied.
“Which Truth, the devil never changes, what exactly is your problem, Jason? You are trying to make I and Harrison look evil to Ava huh? Upon all we have done to you, even when you tried to kill me, is this how are you going to pay me?” Elena yelled.
Harrison supports her back.
“You know, it really hurts a lot that you of all human beings can do that to me, and what I keep on regretting in my life is ever loving you, and I wished I died the day I chose you over Harrison, and I guess I should tell Ava, you kidnapped me and almost forced me to marry you thereby killing your dad in that process.”
Elena said
“No, you can’t tell that to Ava, I’m wrong, I’m sorry, I didn’t know what came over me but believe me, I have changed.”
Jason said.
“I guess is high time you leave our Mansion, you have the money and everything, get yourself a house and get out of our lives, been good to you worth nothing,” Elena said and left upstairs.
“I’m glad she finds out about your true colours, a wolf can never hide in sheep cloth Jason, hope you will start getting your things ready, and yes, I don’t want to be seeing you with Ava, if you really want a child, go get your girlfriend pregnant, or better still adopt a girl,” Harrison said and followed Elena.
“I’m so gonna strangle this stupid girl for causing all this mess,” Jason swore.
ELENA’S ROOM.
Elena sat on the bed crying, and Harrison joined her.
“Don’t cry okay, I’m sorry for that,” Harrison said.
“I don’t know what to do, Ava hates me now, I’m very sure,” Elena replied.
“As young as Ava is, she is really understanding, Jason is just trying to use and manipulate her since he noticed she is a smart girl, I’m sure he never thought she will tell us about it,” Harrison said.
“Do you think if I talk to her, she will agree with me?” Elena asked.
“I’m sure she will, just he positive about it.” Harrison smile
AVA’S ROOM.
Ava later on her soft pink bed sadly,
She recalled how good Elena has been to her.
She heard a soft knock.
“Ava baby, are you sleeping?” Elena asked.
“Go away, I don’t want to talk to you.”
Ava replied.
“I know my Ava knows am not bad, just give me a chance to explain please.”
Elena said.
Ava sighed and opened the door,
Elena sat on her bed.
“Ava, do you think am a bad person?”
Elena asked.
“I know you are not,” Ava replied.
“Do you think I will intentionally hurt someone?” Elena asked again.
“No, but you hurt uncle Jason,” Ava replied.
“What actually happened, I don’t want you to see Jason as a bad person, of course, I won’t deny that I chose Jason over your dada at first, and I’m regretting doing that, it’s because I and your dad got married without loving each other, and Jason was acting all nice, all I ever wanted was for someone to love me, that’s why I fall for it, but then I realized I didn’t even love Jason, but your dad, and you can see how much we love each other right?” Elena asked.
“Okay Oma, I trust you.” Ava smiled and hug her.
