Chapter 54 CAMILLA! WAIT!
Chapter 54 CAMILLA! WAIT!
CAMILLA! WAIT!
The day of the movie shoot finally arrived, and the entire cast and crew were buzzing with excitement.
Camilla, the lead actress, was particularly nervous, as she had been preparing for this role for some time now.
The next day, Bruno arrived at Camilla's hotel to drive her to the location.
He was punctual as always, and Camilla was grateful for his reliability.
As they arrived at the location, Camilla could see that the crew was already setting up.
The first scene was to be shot in a beautiful forest, and the cameramen were busy positioning their equipment.
Dave, the director, was standing near the camera, going over the script with the actors.
He was a tall, thin man with a kind face, and Camilla had always felt at ease with him.
As the crew finished setting up, Dave called out,
"Okay, let's get started!"
The cameramen nodded, and the actors took their positions.
The first scene was a dramatic one, with Camilla's character running through the forest, pursued by a group of villains.
The cameramen followed her, capturing every step, every glance over her shoulder.
As the morning wore on, the sun beat down on the forest, casting dappled shadows on the trees.
The actors and crew worked tirelessly, taking short breaks to drink water and snack on energy bars.
After a few hours of shooting, Dave called out,
"Okay, let's take a break!"
The crew cheered, and the actors collapsed onto the grass, exhausted.
The catering team arrived, carrying trays of delicious-smelling food.
The actors and crew were served a variety of meals, from sandwiches to salads to hot meals.
Camilla sat down on a blanket, gratefully accepting a plate of chicken and rice.
She took a bite, savouring the flavours, and then looked around at the crew.
Everyone was chatting and laughing, enjoying their break.
Dave was sitting on a nearby rock, going over the script with one of the actors.
Bruno was standing near the cars, keeping a watchful eye on the vehicles.
As Camilla ate, she felt a sense of contentment wash over her.
This was what she loved about making movies—the thrill of bringing a story to life.
As Camilla sat on a mat in the forest, savouring her meal and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
She had just taken a bite of her sandwich after finishing a bowl of rice and chicken, but then she heard a rustling in the bushes behind her.
She turned to see Alex walking towards her, a smile on his face.
As he approached, Camilla felt a sense of unease wash over her.
She had been trying to avoid Alex all morning, ever since their awkward encounter in her room.
She didn't want to deal with his flirtatious comments and suggestive glances.
"Hey, Camilla," Alex said, sitting down beside her on the mat.
"Mind if I join you?"
Camilla frowned, trying to hide her annoyance.
"Actually, I'd prefer it if you didn't," she said, trying to sound polite but firm.
But Alex just chuckled and shook his head.
"I choose to eat my meal with you," he said, unwrapping his own sandwich and taking a bite.
Camilla sighed, feeling frustrated and trapped.
She didn't want to make a scene, but she also didn't want to sit here with Alex and pretend like everything was fine.
"Alex, please," she said, trying to reason with him. "I need some space. Can you just leave me alone?"
But Alex just smiled and leaned in close, his eyes locked on hers.
"I'm not going anywhere, Camilla," he said, his voice low and husky. "I want to spend time with you.”
Alex turned to Camila with a warm smile.
"Tell me, how was your first role?" He asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"This is your first time featuring in a movie, isn't it? How was the experience?"
Camila's cheeks flushed slightly.
"At first, I was very shy," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just had to summon the courage to get through the scene."
Alex's face lit up with a radiant smile.
"I loved the way you acted," he said, her voice filled with genuine enthusiasm. "You have a natural talent, Camila. I think you're going to become a star in this entertainment industry. You should keep it up!"
"Thank you," Camilla said, her voice sincere.
As they chatted, Camila took a small bite of the sandwich in her hand.
Alex noticed and asked,
"You might take an underbite on that small sandwich, huh?"
Camila laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
"Yeah, I guess so," she said, taking another bite of the sandwich.
"It tastes nice, though. Delicious."
Alex smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
"I hope you're enjoying it," he said, taking a bite of his own sandwich.
Camila nodded, her mouth full of food.
"Mmm-hmm," she said, swallowing her food. "Yes, I am. It's really good."
“All thanks to Dave; he got this from one of the best restaurants in New York,” Alex replied.
“Oh really?” Camilla said.
“Yeah, he was impressed with the way you played your first role in the movie; he is so proud of you,” Alex replied.
Camilla smiled.
“Do you know you look prettier when you smile?” Alex said, winking to Camilla.
“Oh please, Alex, don't start again,” Camilla replied.
As Camilla and Alex sat together on the mat, Camilla's eyes scanned the surrounding area, her senses on high alert.
She had been feeling uneasy for a while now, and she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching her.
Suddenly, she saw it again—the camera flash.
It was a brief, fleeting moment, but it was enough to make Camilla's heart skip a beat.
She stood up from the mat, her eyes fixed on the spot where she had seen the flash.
Alex looked up at her, a concerned expression on his face.
"What happened?" he asked, but Camilla didn't reply.
Instead, she took off running, dashing into the bush where she had seen the camera light flash.
Alex shouted after her,
"Camilla! Wait!”
