Chapter 40: Josiah
Eunice is lying perfectly tucked in my arms. Her face is on my chest while her arms are around my waist.
I smiled as I saw her peaceful sleeping face. She was too tired after our love making. I was so turned on I took her three times last night.
A heavy feeling seemed to be lifted off my chest last night. I was so relieved and happy and contented. And I already told her how I felt.
Now, there’s no holding back.
Eunice stirred off from my arms and I watched her as she slowly rubbed her eyes open. She looked at me lovingly and I gave her a wide smile.
“Good morning, baby,” I whispered as I kissed her forehead.
She smiled and hugged me tighter. “Good morning.”
I pulled her close to me. We’re still naked under the sheets and it’s giving me so many thought once more.
“Are you sore?” I asked her.
She blushed at my question. I chuckled and hugged her closer. “I’m sorry for hurting you last night,” I whispered as I caressed the bruise on her arm.
She frowned at me. “I’m used to it,” she snickered.
I laughed. “But you liked it,” I reverted, teasing her.
She rolled her eyes but she couldn’t hide her flustered cheeks. She’s cute when she’s acting like this. Damn it.
She was about to sit up but I pulled her back to me.” “Josiah! It’s ten o’clock! We need to go to school,” she told me.
Her class is at noon while I missed the whole first period. I didn’t care about it though. I wanted to lie down and cuddle with my wife the whole day.
“Can we just cut?” I suggested which only earned a punch on my chest. I groaned before laughing. “Am I a battered husband?”
She narrowed her eyes at me. “We need to go to school, Josiah. I have an exam later in the afternoon.”
I stared at her with a raised brow.
“And besides, you’re graduating soon. You need to pass all your subjects.”
I looked at her smiling. “You sound like my mom,” I told her and she glared at me. “But you’re still my type.”
She raised her brow. “Liar, I am not your type. I know it,” she smirked.
I laughed. She’s right. She’s not my type.
“What a liar,” she muttered under her breath.
I kissed her cheek. “Baby, you may not be my type but you’re the one I love,” I told her.
She looked at me, seemingly not believing.
I chuckled and kissed her temple. “It’s okay if you don’t believe me. I’ll willingly spend my whole life proving you wrong, Eunice.”
I have never felt this attracted. I have never wanted to be with someone as hard as my desire to be with Eunice all the time. She’s gotten me whipped without even doing anything.
And after what happened last night, I don’t know if I’m ever going to get enough of her.
Eunice looked at me intently. She hasn’t said it back…but that’s okay. I’m not rushing her to tell me. I want to hear her say it when the time is right. Then, I would be the happiest person alive.
I gave her an assuring smile. “But can we really not cut for today?” I wriggled my brows but she only hit me once more.
Damn. My wife is a hitter!

“Eat more,” I told Eunice while we were eating breakfast after preparing for school.
Nela, who seemed to be shocked at the sight of us being this sweet, was quietly watching us.
Eunice seemed to be shy too but she didn’t stop me which is a good sign. It just means that she’s trying to open up to me a little bit more.
I kept putting food on her plate to the point that she was already glaring at me. “You need to be fatter,” I told her.
She frowned at me. “I don’t think so.”
I chuckled and put the spoon full of rice in front of her mouth. “Say ah,” I cooed as I slowly pushed the food inside her mouth.
She was looking at me sternly as she chewed her food. Her cheeks are flushed as she looked at me.
“I can manage,” she told before rolling her eyes.
I laughed and shrugged. “But I can do it for you,” I insisted.
She threw me a deadly glance and I just laughed. I’m sure she hates it because we’ve been eating for about an hour now and she’s about to be late for her class.
“Let’s go,” she told me after finishing her plate.
I nodded and took her hand before facing Nela. “We’ll be having dinner at the hotel tonight. You don’t need to cook for us.”
Nela nodded. “Yes, sir,” she noted.
I pulled Eunice who was also stunned at what I just said. She tugged on my arm and me look at her.
“Why are we eating at the hotel?” she asked.
I smirked. “Baby, tonight is the launch of the new chain of pharmacies your father is working on.”
Her eyes widened. “Really?”
“You didn’t remember,” I told her.
“No, I didn’t know.” She corrected.
I laughed and pulled her closer to me. “Well, now, you do. And we need to be there or else…”
She rolled her eyes at me as I opened the door of my car for her to enter. I ran to the driver’s side and started to rev the engine.
Eunice looked at me. “Do you think Nela heard what happened last night?” she asked softly, seemingly shy.
I smirked. “What do you think?” I asked her back.
She narrowed her eyes at me. “I think she did!”
I laughed at her as she was becoming so hysterical because of the thought of Nela hearing us.
“It doesn’t matter. Everyone expects us to do that, baby.”
Her eyes widened. “I didn’t! So it’s definitely not everyone!” she defended.
I laughed loudly as I started to drive. “You were screaming my name though,” I teased her.
She hit my arm and started her litany of something I can’t even comprehend. But she was saying that she’s only tempted by me. Is she kidding? I am her husband.
“If only you weren’t such a good kisser,” she muttered under her breath but I heard it.
I smirked. My confidence seemed to have escalated to a whole new level. “So you love my kiss?”
I quickly threw a glance at her and saw her blushing from here. “N-no…” she stuttered.
I chuckled. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone that you’re addicted to my kisses,” I beamed.
She looked at me with a glare. “I hate you!” she yelled at me.
I laughed and shook my head. “I love you, too, baby.” I replied and we just continued to annoy each other until we arrived at the school’s parking lot.
I held her hand as we walked through the corridors to her next class while holding her books. She was stiff and maybe that’s because of all the people looking at us.
Well, I don’t mind but Eunice seems to be bothered by it.
She stopped when we’re already in front of her classroom. She looked at me and took her books from me. “I’ll see you after class,” she said.
I nodded and leaned in to give her a kiss on her forehead. “I love you.”
She smiled at me and waved. “Go,” she said.
I smirked. “I’ll watch you get to you seat.”
She frowned at me but did what I told her. She walked towards her seat and waved at me to go when she’s already sitting.
I chuckled and nodded before leaving.
But as I turned, I saw a note on the floor. Eunice must have dropped this when she took her books from me.
My eyes widened when I read what was written in there.
WE’LL GET YOU, GEMINI. JUST YOU WAIT.
Damn it. Eunice is the Gemini of the underground?
