Chapter 31 Rogue, You Demon!
Vivian stood up, her eyes welling with tears as she implored Ellis to forgive her. "Ellis, please forgive me. I made a mistake. I didn't know Alicia was Mr. Howard's mate. I can apologize to her. You are the one I want to be with. I want to be your Luna."
Ellis, meanwhile, was reeling from the pain of Vivian's rejection. He leaned against the car's side door, his body slick with sweat, and shook his head. "Damian, I have no more ties to her," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
But Vivian was not ready to give up. "How can you do this to me?" she snarled, her frustration mounting. "Don't you know how much I love you? I did everything I could to be a good Luna for you. I dressed impeccably, used the best skin care products, and dyed my hair the same damn color every month, just because I knew you liked it."
"And you, you stayed polite and distant to me for two years. You only kissed me in front of the guests at parties and pretended to love me. You treat me like this just because I punished an omega maid!?" She questioned Ellis hysterically.
Her face was contorted at the moment, plus her blue dress was stained with her Betas' blood, making her look like a mad wicked witch.
"Yeah!" Ellis was unmoved by her words. "You learned how to be a noble lady, but never learned how to be kind," he retorted sarcastically, turning his head away from her.
"I punished that Omega maid because she was trying to seduce you. I was your mate, and I had to teach her a lesson. All Omegas are inherently nasty and weak. She couldn't handle my lesson and fell into a coma and died a few days later! I didn't kill her!" she insisted.
"Okay," said Damian, who had been filming the entire exchange. He clicked the end video button on his phone screen with a satisfied smile. "I'm sure many internet users will be interested in what Miss Hamilton just said," he said, his tone gleeful.
Vivian's heart pounded as she noticed Damian's phone trained on her. In that instant, her clarity of mind returned, and she grasped the full implications of his words. No! If Damian shared the video online, she could face legal action, and it would not only affect her but also her father and the entire pack.
Finding herself unable to argue with Alpha Ellis, Vivian mustered the courage to approach Damian and pleaded, "Mr. Howard, please. My pack members and I will do anything if you delete that video."
"Do you and your loser pack have any use for me?" Damian responded coldly.
Vivian cast a cautious glance toward Damian before asking, "If I told you a secret about Alicia, would you let me go?"
"Are you going to tell me that she's married to Alpha Ellis' brother, or that she had 30% of Omega's genes because her mother is an Omega?" Damian asked without any interest, knowing his wife’s everything including her family thing and things happened to her after the marriage.
"How do you know that?" Vivian's eyes widened in disbelief.
Lee was equally shocked as he glanced at the calm Alpha Damian, who seemed completely unconcerned with letting him know that Alicia was married to Alpha Ellis' brother.
Damian shrugged Vivian's question off and smiled, "I'm looking forward to seeing your name trending on social media, Miss Vivian Hamilton."
His malice was obscured by his smile, causing Vivian to tremble. She appeared to lose all her strength and slumped to the floor.
"Ah, I have a secret about your father, Mr. Hamilton. Would you like to hear it?" Damian inquired. Without waiting for Vivian's response, he disclosed, "Mr. Hamilton's youngest daughter in Switzerland moved last year. He won't mind announcing to the public tomorrow that his only daughter is vacationing in Switzerland and that you are just an imposter."
Vivian felt as though lightning had struck her after hearing Damian's words.
She knew her father was a womanizer and had kept in touch with several lovers after marrying her stepmother. However, she had always assumed that she was her father's only daughter and had no idea he had an illegitimate daughter in Switzerland.
Given what she knew about her father, if he found out about her rejection by Alpha Ellis and the ensuing scandal, she would no longer be of any value to him. He would not hesitate to disown her and expel her from the pack.
Her life was going to be in ruins. Vivian glared at Damian with hatred as she hugged herself and muttered, "Rogue, you're a monster!"
Unmoved by Vivian's insults, Damian laughed and retorted, "You're right. But don't forget, soon you'll be a rogue too, a rogue without a pack."
With a piercing scream, Vivian clutched her head and shouted like a madwoman, "No!"
Lee's expression contorted in disgust at the lunatic's ear-splitting screams. He strode forward and effortlessly took Vivian by the arm, tossing her into her car.
Damian observed Lee's actions and realized that the one-armed elder possessed incredible arm strength. Nevertheless, there was still trouble to be addressed.
Damian turned his attention to the trembling Caroline. "Your father has borrowed a billion dollars from me at my casino over the years. With interest, he now owes me about 2 billion. I was planning to wait for him patiently, but today you have exhausted my patience," he said.
Caroline shook her head and covered her ears, refusing to listen to Damian's menacing words. "I'm wrong," she repeated.
"Tell your father to settle all his debts by Wednesday, or I have different ways to bankrupt his bank. By the way, I only accept cash, no other assets against the debt," Damian warned. He then yanked Caroline by the arm and flung her into the car, much like Lee had done with Vivian.
"How are you feeling, Ellis?" Damian asked, approaching his brother, who was leaning against the front of the car.
"I'm sorry," Ellis replied meekly, like a child who had done something wrong. His rejection of Vivian had sabotaged their revenge plan.
Damian let out a sigh; his brother had already suffered enough.
Ellis was supposed to be a nice and optimistic boy if their parents hadn't been killed. Damian had thought that Ellis would be happy and relaxed with a mate after he met one. But to his surprise, the damn Moon God had bestowed such a malicious mate upon Ellis.
He had given Ellis a new pill to erase the mate pull, hoping that it would make his brother feel better. Little did he know that it would indirectly cause Vivian's nature to become more twisted and paranoid.
Damian gave his brother a comforting hug and patted him on the back.
"It's okay, EL. It's not your fault. I shouldn't have suggested that you put up with that vicious bitch. I'll think of other options. Don't worry," he reassured Ellis in a whisper.
Ellis nodded and embraced his brother tightly. To others, it might have seemed like a brief hug, but to Ellis at that moment, the warmth of his family had helped him overcome the pain of his mate's rejection.
Lee noticed that Ellis did not behave like an ordinary friend when facing Damian, even though both of them were top-notch Alphas. His intuition told him that the two Alphas must be concealing secrets. However, Lee was not interested in prying into others' secrets, as he had his own stories that he wished to keep hidden.
"Mr. Howard, where's Alicia? Is she okay?" Lee inquired.
"She's in her car. She's fine. Thank you for your assistance today. I'll transfer a gratitude payment to your bank account later," Damian replied with a genuine smile.
Lee laughed and shook his head. "Boy, money doesn't mean anything to me. I only wanted to save my friend today. Don't worry; I won't disclose anything I saw or heard today. I'm heading back to work."
He gestured to the two beta bodies on the ground and the two deranged she-wolves in the car. "Please ensure someone disposes of the trash, or Manager Jack will fire me."
"He wouldn't dare, as his boss is here," Damian joked, patting Ellis. "Extend my heartfelt gratitude to Lee on behalf of Alicia and me. Without him, Alicia might not have survived today." With that, Damian departed to locate Alicia.
Ellis had a strange feeling that he had seen Lee before, despite being certain that it was his first encounter with him.
