Chapter 19 Leave Your Marks
How do you handle an emergency call from Alpha when you're on a nice Friday night date with your mate? That was the question that Alpha Damian's exclusive doctor, Edward, had to answer. Without hesitation, he left his sexy mate in the lab, grabbed his first aid kit, and rushed to Alpha's new flat.
After waiting for twenty minutes at Alpha's new base, Edward began to worry when he didn't receive a message from Damian. He couldn't help but wonder if Alpha had gone in advance of his plans and had been seriously injured during the confrontation with the enemy. But things took an unexpected turn when he saw Damian, who had always forbidden strange women to approach, arrive at his apartment with a beautiful woman in his arms.
Alicia gripped Damian's arm tightly as she noticed a stranger in his apartment.
Damian reassured her by whispering, "It's ok. He's my doctor - Edward. You'll be fine," while putting his arm around her shoulders.
As they entered the living room, Edward, with his keen sense of smell, immediately noticed that this beautiful creature was not a member of the pack. Hold on, what shocked him, even more, was that she was wearing his Alpha’s suit jacket without being a member of the pack. Was this possible? He couldn't believe it. The Alpha he respected had never lent his clothes to anyone.
"Alpha, are you all right?" Edward asked, suspecting that Damian had gone mad.
"Ed, she's got a throat and neck injury," Damian told his trusted Third Beta.
Alicia eyed the strange doctor warily. He wore a plaid cashmere blouse over a classic camel trench coat and looked about her age, with a slender, straight body and the most beautiful pure blue eyes that looked like a pair of jewels. Her first thought was of Damian's wolf-shaped eyes, which she had seen in the hotel lift. Seeing his kind demeanor, she dropped her guard instantly.
"I'm Edward. May I check your injuries, Miss?" Edward greeted Alicia with a friendly and professional smile, though it betrayed a hint of detachment and suspicion. He seemed guarded, and his wariness suggested that he didn't trust her.
"Thanks!" Alicia mumbled with gratitude.
"Goodness gracious," Edward gasped as he examined the bruises and finger marks on Alicia's neck. Her bare upper body made it apparent why she had suffered such injuries. It was possible that Alpha Damian had gone without a female's touch for too long, and when he finally found one, his passion had turned violent in his sexual excitement, causing harm to his partner.
Edward looked up at Damian, standing by the sofa, silently communicating with his eyes that he should control his impulses next time to prevent a fatal outcome.
Damian caught Edward's gaze, sensing his doctor's unspoken message, and warned him in a menacing tone, "Edward Geller, drop that nonsense out of your head, or I'll throw you out the window."
"Sorry," Edward shrugged, shining a medical flashlight into Alicia's mouth to inspect her throat.
"Besides your throat, are you experiencing discomfort elsewhere, Miss?" Edward inquired after completing the preliminary examination.
Alicia shook her head, her hands gripping the black cushions tightly, her expression slightly dazed.
Damian paced around the living room, asking with concern in his voice, "How is she? Is she going to be okay?"
"Physically, she seems alright," Edward replied, surprised at Damian's evident nervousness about the girl. Seeing the Alpha's frown, he added quickly, "However, she's obviously in shock and mentally unstable. She requires rest and medication for her throat."
"Then get her the medication she needs as soon as possible," Damian demanded.
"Uh, I'm sorry about that. I don't have the required medication in my first aid kit. I'll need to retrieve it from the lab," Edward said apologetically.
"Then what's the point of carrying your damn first aid kit?" Damian scolded, pointing his finger at the 24-inch silver suitcase in the corner of the living room.
"Well, you didn't tell me who was injured. My first aid kit is equipped with medicine and surgical instruments for every possible injury YOU might suffer," Edward explained helplessly.
Damian let out an exasperated sigh. "Just go get it," he said, waving his hand dismissively.
As Edward left, Damian turned to Alicia and asked, his voice now softer, "How are you feeling?"
Alicia stared up at him, her eyes glassy. "I don't know," she whispered. "I feel physically tired. But I feel... mentally tense."
Damian sat down beside her, his hand hovering over her shoulder. "It's going to be okay," he said, his voice soothing. "You're in the safest place in the world."
Alicia leaned against Damian's firm shoulder, but the pain in her breasts and throat made her frown. She looked down and saw the sickening finger marks on her breasts. Horrible memories replayed over and over in her head, and she couldn't seem to shake the feeling of dread.
"Damian, can I ask a favor?" Alicia asked.
"Of course, you can. You can ask me to do anything," Damian nodded.
Alicia knelt in front of Damian and took off the suit jacket with his scent on it. The torn gown couldn't hide the finger marks and bruises on her breasts.
Damian saw the bruises and marks on her beautiful, perky breasts and wished he could go back to the hotel and chop off the fucking bastard's hands immediately.
"Touch them. Please! Leave your marks!" Alicia pleaded.
"Don't say please to me! Babe!" Damian reached out and gently stroked the marks on her breasts.
Alicia's eyes were misty and her body shivered slightly. It felt as if a million little ants were gnawing at her skin. The memories that made her sick slowly disappeared and were replaced by scenes from her one-night stand with Damian .... She missed his kisses and his embrace.
Damian closed his eyes and breathed in the rich scent of red wine. He seemed to be getting drunk and his mind was filled with scenes from that night when he had pinned her down and made love to her so passionately.
Alicia felt the temperature of Damian's hand rise and the scent of lavender intensify, Alicia reached around Damian's neck and pressed her hot lips to Damian's.
Alicia's body gradually fell down and Damian lay down on the sofa and the two of them locked in an embrace.
Damian increased the pressure on her soft, supple breasts, and Alicia bit her lower lip and arched her back from the pain she felt.
"Ah!" Alicia whimpered, unconsciously wrapping her arms tightly around Damian's neck.
"Sorry. I'll do it another way." Damian opened his eyes, his dark blue eyes deep and dreamy. After kissing her lips, he moved to her right breast and sucked hard on her sweet spot, leaving his hickey there.
Although Damian tried to keep his brain active, his mate's perfect body and the rich scent of wine lingering in his nose continued to challenge his self-control. He bit into the standing red berry on the white, high, snowy peak as if tasting the world's most precious delicacy.
A tingling sensation ran through Alicia's body, making her even more sensitive than she had been a moment before. "Damian, Damian," she cradled Damian's head and moaned his name as she raised her body to meet his sucking.
Damian looked up at her, sweating profusely. He murmured in a seductive voice, "Allie... My sweetheart... Do you know how much I want to hear you call my name like that? But you can't scream too loud for the sake of your injured throat." With that, he kissed her rosy lips so that she could no longer make the moans that drove him crazy.
The apartment was filled with an ambiguous atmosphere, punctuated by Alicia's indistinct, raspy moans.
Under the gentle caresses of Damian, Alicia's turbulent and fearful mental world transformed into a serene lake. Her mate's touch and kisses acted as a soothing breeze, brushing over the shimmering surface of the water. As the breeze swept across the lake, it created numerous ripples that caused the liquid to overflow.
The moonlight filtered through the windows of the apartment, casting a silver glow over the peaceful scene. Gradually, the breeze subsided, and the waves on the lake dissipated, leaving the water tranquil once more.
