Chapter 10

Chapter 10
There is currently a meeting being held with various representatives from each department. I am one of those selected to attend. We are discussing a new project the company is working on. This is a design and construction company that provides good quality building construction. The person assigned to the design of the building is now talking. Gives her idea when the building is finished. The discussion also includes the client's design, and our team will then improve it.

During the entire discussion, I didn't understand a single word. How could it be, Mr. Sullivan had been staring at me since the beginning of the meeting. He was at the front, holding his cheek while tapping the pen.

He looked bored, but he was looking at me as if I were the most important person in this meeting room. I'm the one who feels embarrassed by his blatant staring at me. I don't know if my roommates notice it, even though it's obvious what he's doing.

I averted my eyes from him. Isn't he shy? Ever since what happened in his penthouse the other day, he's been like this with me. Always staring.

"What do you think of Miss Roane's suggestion, Celestine?" Mr. Sullivan suddenly asked me.

I stunned. I looked at him again. His eyes were challenging me. How could I answer his question? I didn't understand a single word in the discussion. It was his fault, and now he's trying to embarrass me in front of the people here.

"Ahmm...about..." I cleared my throat. I didn't really know what to say.

"About what, Celestine? Aren't you listening to the meeting?" he asked me with a grin. His tone was annoying.

My forehead furrowed. My eyes stared at him intently. What was he planning?

"It would be better if we had another meeting to give each department more good ideas. And they could submit more suggestions," I replied. Not sure if that was right. That's probably better than not having an answer.

"Don't you have anything to add to their idea?" Mr. Sullivan leaned back in his chair. Arms crossed. Wow! He really was being a jerk. It was really his fault that I didn't listen properly.

I felt like the people around me were tense. Mr. Sullivan is known to be strict when it comes to work. Joking is not his forte. He fires those who are not useful. He doesn't give second chances to those who don't contribute to the company's success.

"Mr. Sulliv-"

"What did you say?" He asked dangerously. The mood got worse. "Didn't we already talk about that, Celestine? Did you forget again? Do you want me to remind you?"

I stopped. Oh my gosh! I forgot.

"B-but we are here at the Company-"

"Meeting adjourned. Except for you, Celestine… Let's talk" he emphasized the last word. I was nervous.

Mya co-employee gave me sympathetic looks. The people in the meeting room patted me on the shoulder. Giving me assurance that I could do it. What the hell?! Why all of a sudden?

The people had left. Markus and I were the only ones left here. There. I was already saying his name in my head. I looked down. Is that a big deal? It seemed like a small thing, but he was making it bigger.

"Look at me," he ordered. "Don't test my patience, Celestine. I'm not a kind person. My patience has its limits."

I looked at him. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. He was using his authority on me. Abuse of power.

"What the fuck! Don't roll your eyes at me" He chuckled weakly at what I did. Amuse at the same time.

With my long face, I didn't say anything. It was annoying.

"Don't act cute in front of me, Celestine. You know I'm not mad at you. Why do you keep calling me Mr. Sullivan?!"

"Aren't you Mr. Sullivan?"

"You know what I mean. Don't be sarcastic to me. Is this our topic again? Are we going to repeat this?"

"We're in company. It's not appropriate for me to call you by your first name. "

He snorted.

"I don't care. Just call me Markus"

"I'm leaving if this is all we're going to talk about," I said. Still annoyed by what he did. I stood up from my seat. I ignored Markus's expression. It's his fault why I wasn't focused on the meeting earlier.

I was shocked when he suddenly pushed me against the glass wall of the room. It was a one-way mirror. It couldn't see the people inside. But you could see the people outside. It was just that when he pushed me with my back against the glass wall, it shook a little.

My left cheek was pressed against the wall while he grabbed both of my hands behind my back.

"What the hell! Let me go" I protested.

"You're learning to defy me. You still owe me something, so don't leave until I tell you."

The hairs on my neck stood up when I felt his breath close to me. My heart suddenly beat faster. Not from nervousness but from another sensation that only Markus can wake me up.

"I don't owe you anything. Let me go."

"I told you there will be punishment if you break my rules."

"It's your fault I couldn't focus on the meeting."

"Why are you fighting me now, Celestine? I think I need to tame you. You're too stubborn. You still don't understand what I'm saying," he said. He pressed his body even harder against mine. The glass wall shook again.

I became even more nervous. There were people standing outside. They were curious why the glass wall was shaking. My face turned red. They might think that my boss and I were having hot steamy sex.

"B-let me go..."

"You still haven't learned." his voice took on a different tone. It was seductive. I couldn't help but moan as he kissed my neck. It got louder without me realizing it.

"That's right, Celestine. Moan for me"

I stopped myself from moaning. I might be heard outside. When did I become sex-starved and react to him like this?

"I-I give up...Markus" I said in a surrendered voice. Just his lips were driving me crazy. I didn't realize he had let go of my hands.

I placed both hands on the glass wall as support for my weakness.

"Say my name again, My Celestine" he whispered. Continue kissing my neck.

"Markus, please..." I don't know what I'm asking. For him to stop or for him to continue what he's doing.

"Hmm...you little brat. You really know how to tame me. It should be the other way around."

We were interrupted by a knock on the door. It opened. Mr. Ares came in. I think all the heat rose to my face. He saw us in this awkward situation. What kind of face would I present to Mr. Ares?

"Tss...Why? What do you need?" Markus asked annoyed. He blocked his body so Mr. Ares wouldn't see the redness on my face.

"You have an appointment at one pm. You only have thirty minutes to prepare," he informed Markus.

"S-sorry for disturbing, I'm leaving now" I suddenly said. I couldn't take this embarrassment anymore. I gently pushed Markus away and walked straight out of the meeting room.

"YOU're ALWAYS A NUISANCE, ARES," I said angrily as Celestine walked away from the room. I knew she was too embarrassed to stay inside.

"Do I know you're doing something?" Ares said.

"You know that I've just been with her like this again. That's why I'm trying my best to get closer to her," I tried to get rid of my cravings for what Celestine and I were doing. How many times has their lovemaking been interrupted? I can't count.

Ares suddenly became serious.

"Does she know?"

"I won't tell her everything, Ares. It's for her own good."

"She has a right to know. I feel like the effect of you erasing her memories is wearing off. She's confused about her situation."

It got me thinking.

She couldn't know everything. She'll be ruined. I didn't sacrifice a long time just to make that happen. The few years I haven't been with her. Even if she hates me.

"If I can cover it up, I will cover it all up. As long as she can't find out"

"Markus"

"I know. You don't have to say that. She'll be devastated if she finds out. You know that already."

Ares sighed. He was also struggling with the situation.

"Has Marko been triggered these past few days?" Ares asked after a few minutes of silence.

My hands clenched. That fucking Marko.

"Not yet. But I'm nervous. There's no trigger even though I'm close to Celestine. I don't know. Maybe he's planning something. Fuck this fucking curse! I don't even know myself anymore." I'm getting more and more angry about the situation I'm in.

"It's really impossible that Marko won't go out when you're close to Celestine," Ares agreed. This is the first time my mind has been quiet. I feel no threat. I get nervous when Marko is the one Celestine meets. If I'm possessive of her, Marko will be even more so. It's hard to control that one.

"So while there's no threat to Marko. Let me be with Celestine"

"I'm not stopping you," Ares said.

"Damn! "You're always bothering us." My irritation from earlier returned.

"I didn't know you two were together. If you want, cancel your meeting at one pm and stare at Celestine all day like a hungry dog," Ares joked to me. Laughing at my annoyance.

"Fuck that meeting!"

"Cancel it," Ares challenged me. He knew I couldn't cancel it. Where I was going was important to me. Even if I wanted to stare at Celestine all day, I couldn't help but go there.

"Let's go."

Ares laughed.

I ignored his laughter at me. My mood was ruined because Ares was bothering us. I looked at the glass wall before I left the meeting room. There were still Celestine's handprints there. I grinned. I remembered her moaning my name.

"Order Ricardo to clean the glass wall." I ordered Ares. Referring to one of our men. I don't want anyone else to see that trace. I should be the only one who can see it.
