Chapter 132: HUGE WAR
ALPHA DAMIAN POV
The war room was already filled with tension when I walked in. The large wooden table in the center was covered with maps of our territory and the surrounding lands. Several generals, elders, and trusted warriors stood around it, their faces serious and grim. The news of Kael and Kieran’s approaching army had spread fast. Thousands of rogue wolves were marching toward our border, and we had only days to prepare.
I stood at the head of the table, my hands planted firmly on the map. My body was tired from lack of sleep, but my mind was sharp. I could not afford to be weak now. Not when my pack, my mate, and my children’s lives were at stake.
“Report,” I said, my voice steady and commanding. “What do we know about their numbers and movement?”
One of the scouts stepped forward, still covered in dust from the road. “They are around five thousand strong, Alpha. Mostly rogues, but some from smaller dark packs have joined them. Kael is leading the main force, and the one-eyed man, Kieran, is commanding the flanks. They are moving fast. They will reach our outer border in four days at most.”
Murmurs spread through the room. Five thousand was a massive number. Our own trained warriors were only around two thousand. We were outnumbered.
I looked at the map and pointed to the narrow pass near the eastern border. “We will meet them here. The terrain is good for defense. We can use the hills to our advantage. Set up archers on high ground and have our main force ready to push them back if they break through.”
General Harlan nodded. “We can reinforce the walls and dig traps along the main road. But Alpha… if they split their forces and attack from multiple sides, we will be stretched thin.”
“Then we must not let them split,” I replied. “We will send small teams to harass their supply lines and slow them down. Burn their food wagons if possible. Make them tired before they reach us.”
The elders exchanged worried looks. One of them, Elder Marcus, spoke up. “What about the civilians? The weak and the children? Should we start evacuating them deeper into the pack lands?”
I thought about Leena and our four children, three already born and one still growing in her belly. My jaw tightened.
“Yes,” I said. “Start moving the vulnerable ones to the inner caves and protected valleys. Leena will help organize this. She knows the pack better than anyone.”
The meeting continued for hours. We discussed weapon supplies, training schedules, and possible alliances with neighboring friendly packs. I listened carefully to every suggestion, making decisions quickly but thoughtfully. My mind kept drifting to Leena. She was still recovering, still carrying our child, but I knew she would want to help. She had always been a fighter.
When the meeting finally ended, I walked out to the training grounds. Hundreds of warriors were already practicing hard. Swords clashed, arrows flew at targets, and wolves shifted and sparred in their animal forms. I joined them for a while, sparring with some of the younger soldiers to show them I was with them.
“Harder!” I shouted as I blocked a strike. “Kael and Kieran will not show mercy. Train like your families’ lives depend on it because they do!”
The warriors fought with renewed energy. Sweat poured down their bodies, but determination burned in their eyes. I felt proud of them, but worry still gnawed at me. We were preparing as best as we could, but the odds were not in our favor.
Later that evening, I returned to our chambers. Leena was resting on the bed, her hand gently resting on her belly. She looked up when I entered and gave me a tired but loving smile.
“How was the meeting?” she asked.
I sat beside her and took her hand. “We are preparing. The army is training hard. We have a plan. But… it will not be easy.”
She squeezed my hand. “We have faced worse. We will face this together.”
I leaned down and kissed her forehead, then her belly. “I will protect you and our children. No matter what.”
As I held her close, I prayed silently to the Moon Goddess.
Give us strength. Let us survive this storm.
The war was coming.
And we would meet it head-on.
…….
LUNA LEENA POV
The preparation for the war was still going on with full force. From the balcony overlooking the training grounds, I could see hundreds of warriors practicing hard. Swords clashed loudly, arrows flew toward targets, and wolves shifted and sparred under the hot afternoon sun. The entire pack was working together, but the tension in the air was thick. Everyone knew Kael and Kieran’s army was coming, and time was running out.
I turned to Damian, who stood beside me watching the training. My hand rested protectively over my belly.
“I am going with you,” I said firmly. “I will fight alongside you and our people.”
Damian’s eyes widened. He shook his head immediately. “No, Leena. You are pregnant. You cannot go into battle. It is too dangerous for you and the baby.”
I felt a spark of irritation rise inside me. “Being pregnant does not mean I am weak, Damian. I am still a Luna. I am still a fighter. I built this pack with my own hands. I will not sit back while our home is under attack.”
He stepped closer, his voice low but urgent. “You are not weak, but you are carrying our child. If anything happens to you or the baby, I will never forgive myself. Please, stay here where it is safe.”
The argument continued, our voices rising. It started turning into something else, old fears, old pains from the time I was possessed. I felt my emotions getting stronger, the scar on my wrist tingling faintly even though Gotham was gone.
Damian suddenly stopped arguing. He pulled me gently into his chest, wrapping his strong arms around me. His warmth surrounded me completely. He rested his chin on top of my head and spoke softly, his voice gentle and full of love.
“Leena, my love… listen to me,” he whispered. “I know you are strong. I know you want to fight for our pack. But this time, I need you to stay. The place is very dangerous. Kael and Kieran are coming with thousands of rogues. They will show no mercy. If something happens to you out there, our children will lose their mother. Our new baby will never know you. I cannot risk that. Please… stay here and protect the kids. In case anything happens to me, they will need you. You are their strength. You are their home.”
His words sank deep into my heart. I felt tears welling up in my eyes. I hugged him back tightly, burying my face in his chest.
“I’m scared,” I whispered. “I don’t want to lose you either.”
“You won’t,” he said, kissing the top of my head. “I will come back to you. To all of you. But I need to know you and the children are safe. That is what will give me strength to fight.”
I stayed in his arms for a long time, breathing in his scent. Finally, I nodded slowly.
“Okay,” I said quietly. “I will stay. I will protect our children. But you have to promise me you will come back. You have to promise me we will raise this baby together.”
“I promise,” he said, pulling back to look at me. His eyes were full of love. “We will raise this baby together. Our family will be complete again.”
He pulled me into another tight hug, holding me like he never wanted to let go. I closed my eyes and allowed myself to feel his warmth, his strength, his love.
Everything was going to be okay.
We would fight this war.
And we would win.

ALPHA DAMIAN POV
The next morning arrived with a heavy sky and the sound of hundreds of boots marching across the palace grounds. I stood in the main courtyard, fully armored, watching as our soldiers prepared to move out. The air was thick with tension. Every warrior knew what was coming. Kael and Kieran were marching toward our border with a massive army, and we were going to meet them head-on.
I adjusted the sword at my side and looked around. My generals were shouting orders, horses were being saddled, supply wagons were being loaded, and shields were being checked one final time. The pack was giving everything they had. I felt proud of them, but my heart was heavy. This was not just a fight for territory. This was a fight for our home, our future, and the woman I loved more than life itself.
I turned toward the palace entrance. Leena stood there with our three children. She looked strong in her Luna gown, but I could see the fear in her eyes. The children clung to her sides, their small hands gripping her dress tightly. When I walked over to them, Elara was the first to run into my arms.
“Daddy, don’t go,” she cried, burying her face in my chest. “Please don’t go.”
I knelt down and hugged all three of them at once. Ryker and Thorne pressed close, trying to be brave but failing as tears filled their eyes.
“I have to go, my loves,” I said softly, kissing each of their foreheads. “But I promise I will come back. I will always come back to you and Mummy. You three stay strong and listen to your mother. Protect each other.”
Leena stepped closer. Her eyes were wet, but she held her head high. She pulled me into a tight hug, her arms wrapping around my neck.
“Come back to us,” she whispered against my ear. “Don’t you dare leave me alone with four children. I need you, Damian. We all need you.”
I held her close, breathing in her scent, memorizing the feeling of her body against mine. “I will come back. I swear it on my life. Protect our family while I’m gone. I love you, Leena. More than anything.”
We kissed one last time deep, desperate, and full of love. Then I forced myself to pull away. I climbed onto my horse, the black stallion shifting restlessly beneath me. I looked back at my family one final time. Leena stood with tears running down her cheeks, holding our children close. They waved at me with small hands, their faces full of fear and hope.
I raised my hand in farewell and turned my horse toward the gates. “Move out!” I shouted.
Hundreds of soldiers fell into formation behind me. The sound of marching boots and horse hooves filled the air as we left the palace. The whole pack had come outside to see us off. People lined the streets, cheering and waving. Some threw flowers. Mothers held their children high so they could see. Elders nodded with respect. The energy was powerful, but I could see the fear in their eyes too.
We marched through the main streets of the pack, the cheering growing louder as we passed. I kept my head high, showing strength even though my heart was heavy. Children ran alongside us for a while, shouting encouragement. Women stood on balconies waving white cloths. The entire pack was united in this moment, even in their fear.
We continued until we passed the big forest that led to the border. The trees grew thicker, the path narrower. The cheering faded behind us, replaced by the serious silence of warriors marching to battle. The only sounds were the steady rhythm of boots, the creaking of wagons, and the occasional snort of a horse.
Soon, we could see the border ahead. The open plains stretched out before us. And there, waiting on the other side, was Kael’s army.
Thousands of rogue wolves stood in formation. Their numbers were much larger than I had feared. Beside Kael and Kieran were Alphas from different packs at least four or five other leaders I recognized. They had joined forces. Their combined army looked overwhelming.
My eyes met Kael’s across the field. He smirked at me, his expression full of hatred and confidence. He raised his sword in a mocking salute.
I remained fearless, staring back at him without blinking. In my heart, there was only one c
lear thought.
I must kill Kael. No matter what it takes. For Leena. For our children. For our pack.
The battle was about to begin.
