Chapter 21 MAKE ME PREGNANT
Chapter 21 MAKE ME PREGNANT
She bit her lower lip, her gaze dropping to the floor.
There it is.
“What is it, Sis?” I added, my tone turning sharp with sarcasm. “It’s obvious you still have something else to say.”
She let out a quiet sigh before finally speaking.
“Why didn’t you tell me… that someone is courting you?”
My brow arched.
“Why would I?” I shot back coldly. “You don’t need to know. And besides…” I let out a dry laugh. “We’re not even close, remember?”
She looked away again, as if my words had struck something deep.
“Have you… still not forgiven me?” she asked softly.
I almost scoffed.
Not this again.
“Seriously? We’ve been over this a hundred times,” I said, my voice hardening. “The past is the past, okay? But you—why don’t you tell me the truth?” I leaned forward slightly, my eyes narrowing. “Why were you so affected earlier? Especially when you found out that your ex-boyfriend is courting me.”
Her eyes widened, shock written all over her face.
“Or should I say…” I added slowly, my lips curling into a faint, taunting smile, “…your first love?”
She looked like she had been caught off guard, her lips parting as she struggled to respond.
“So you knew?” she whispered. “Atarah… please don’t use Rare. If you’re doing this just to get back at me, don’t drag him into it. He’s kind. He doesn’t deserve to be used like that.”
For a moment, I just stared at her in disbelief.
Then I laughed—low, cold, and mocking.
“Wow. Look at you, suddenly so concerned,” I said. “Let me remind you of something—you’re his ex. You don’t get a say in anything anymore. And ‘use him’?” I shook my head, my smirk deepening. “I’m not using him.”
I met her eyes, my voice dropping into something sharper.
“I’m going to love him.”
Silence fell between us.
Then I leaned back, crossing my arms.
“I deserve to be happy too, don’t I?” I continued. “Or what—are you the only one allowed to mess around with your sister’s ex-boyfriend?”
The slap came so suddenly that I didn’t even have time to react.
My head snapped to the side, the sting burning across my cheek.
For a second, everything went still.
I slowly lifted my hand to my face, my fingers trembling slightly as they touched the spot she hit. My eyes widened, a mix of shock and anger flooding through me.
Then I smiled.
A dangerous, broken smile.
“That’s… actually impressive,” I whispered. “Sister goals, right?”
Before she could react, I slapped her back—hard.
And just like that, everything exploded.
I grabbed her hair, and she grabbed mine. We fell off the bed, crashing onto the floor as we struggled against each other—pulling, hitting, clawing—every ounce of pent-up anger finally breaking free.
“You’re such a bitch!” I shouted, striking her again and again.
“Atarah, stop! That hurts!” she cried out, trying to push me away.
“I hate you! Do you hear me? I hate you!” My voice cracked as tears streamed down my face. “Damn you, Akisha! You always end up hurting me!”
I pulled her hair harder, blinded by rage—
“Ah… please… stop… my baby…”
The words hit me like a sudden blow.
My body froze.
My breath caught in my throat.
My baby.
Reality crashed over me all at once.
She’s pregnant.
I pulled away instantly, my hands trembling as I stared at her.
That’s when I saw it.
Blood.
“You’re… bleeding…” I whispered, my voice shaking uncontrollably.
Panic flooded through my veins.
What have you done?
“No… no—my baby!” she cried out, clutching herself as her voice broke into sobs.
“I—I’m sorry…” I moved closer to her, desperate, terrified—but she shoved me away.
“Don’t touch me!”
“Ateah! Akisha! What’s going on? Open the door!” Dad’s furious voice echoed from outside.
“Dad! Help! My baby!” she screamed.
I rushed to the door and flung it open.
Dad and Charl immediately ran to her side.
“What happened—Akisha?!” Dad’s voice shook.
“Daughter …” Mom whispered, her face pale with fear.
