Chapter 19 MAKE ME PREGNANT

Chapter 19 MAKE ME PREGNANT
Atarah Klyte

I bit my lip hard because I felt like I wanted to kiss him again. It was frustrating how my lips kept searching for his.

I'm so cringey—why am I acting like this? Goodness, I'm really not like this.

We both got out of my car. I had parked it outside and didn't bother bringing it inside since I was leaving anyway.

"Hey, press the doorbell," I instructed while fixing myself. He pressed it, and within less than a minute, Manang Josie, our house helper, came out.

"You're here, hija. Good evening to you both," she said, bowing slightly, so I smiled at her.

"Good evening too," Rare replied.

"You're quite a handsome young man. Wait—are you her boyfriend, hija?" Manang asked, her brows slightly furrowed, so I just smiled.

"Hahaha, no, Manang. He's the one Mom invited," I answered, glancing at Rare, who was already smirking again.

"Oh, I see. Sorry about that. You two look good together though. There's spark and chemistry, hija," she added, sounding amused.

I couldn't help but cringe at her words, as if she was even more excited than we were.

Ugh, gross.

"Really, Manang?" Rare asked happily, which made me roll my eyes.

He really liked that idea.

"Yes, hijo."

"You're really silly, Manang. You're joking too much. Alright, let's go inside," I said, smiling at her before heading into the house.

"Still, your mansion is beautiful. So elegant. I really like the interior design," Rare complimented as he looked around.

"Have you been here before?" I asked.

"Yep, when I was 11 years old."

"Then why don't I remember seeing or knowing you?" That was true—I didn't know him at all, and the same goes for his family.

"I don't know... I didn't even know you either. As far as I know, Akisha is the only daughter of Uncle," he said, which made me smile bitterly. I thought the same—only Akisha was their child.

"Ahh." We reached the main door, and without hesitation, I went inside.

The familiar scent of Charl immediately greeted me. He still hasn't changed his perfume. That same brand and scent—I was the one who introduced it to him during our first monthsary. I bought him that perfume, and ever since then, he's been using it.

"Oh, you're here, Ath, and..." Charl's meaningful glance shifted toward Rare, making me frown. "And you brought someone. Good evening to both of you. I'm Charl."

He extended his hand to Rare. I looked at Rare, who met Charl's gaze seriously at first, then quickly flashed a grin.

"Rare.."

"Nice meeting you, bro. Rare," he said as they shook hands. I could feel the tension between them, so I immediately pulled Rare along.

"Same to you, Charl. Let's go," I said, holding onto Rare's arm, smiling sweetly as I led him toward the living room.

"So he's the husband of Akisha... your ex?" Rare whispered.

"Yes. He's handsome, right?" I teased, noticing his irritation.

"Not really. I'm still better than him," he said arrogantly, making me roll my eyes.

Show-off.

When we reached the living room, Dad was there reading a newspaper on the couch.

"Hey, Dad..." I approached him and kissed him on the cheek.

"My Atarah, I'm glad you came. Good that you made it. Oh, Rare, you're already here as well," he said, hugging me before turning to Rare.

"Yes, Tito. You're looking more energetic as always," Rare said smoothly as he hugged Dad in a masculine way.

"Ahaha, you're flattering me. It's a shame we didn't get to talk much during Akisha's birthday, but we'll make up for it now," Dad replied.

Right, Rare and I went home early that night, so he didn't stay long at the party.

"Haha, sure, Tito Anjo. It's also a pity my dad isn't in the Philippines right now," Rare responded.

"Dad, where's Mom?" I suddenly asked—I was already out of place, and I was getting hungry.

"In the dining room," Dad replied cheerfully.

"I see. I'll go ahead then, Dad," I said, not bothering to look at Rare as I walked straight to the dining room, where I found Mom and the other helpers.

"Are the desserts ready?" Mom asked one of the helpers. It was obvious they prepared a lot for Rare's dinner visit.

"Hey, Mom..." I called.

She turned to me and smiled widely.

"My daughter! You're here! I thought you wouldn't make it," she said, approaching me for a kiss and hug.

"Mom, your guest is already here. Let's eat. I'm hungry," I pouted while looking at the food laid out on the glass dining table.

"Sit there. But don't touch anything yet—we'll eat together. Wait for us. I'll just call them," she said, so I just nodded.

I sat on the left side of the table and drank juice while waiting. After less than two minutes, Mom, Dad, and Rare entered.

I caught Rare's eyes and signaled him to sit beside me. He followed.

Now we were sitting next to each other, while Dad sat at the end of the table beside Mom.

"Daughter, this is Rare Cedrick Grison, son of your Tito Rushwin. Rare, this is my daughter, Atarah," Dad introduced with a smile.

"Honestly, Tito, we're working at the same hospital, right?" Rare said, glancing at me with a smirk, making my jaw tighten.

"Uhmm." I simply nodded.

"Really? So you're assigned at St. Calisha now. That's nice," Mom commented.

"Yes, Tita," Rare replied.
