The burly hands gently placed Callista on the bed. Rheana deftly adjusted the position of the pillow so that it felt comfortable, while Chennie corrected the position of Callista's hands, folding her milky-white arms over her chest.
Brian turned around to look at the two female attendants who were still in place. Again and again, he chuckled in annoyance. There were so many people to annoy today.
"Don't you have legs and eyes? What are you waiting for? Go check on Illis!" snapped Brian in a high tone, snapping the two girls out of their reverie.
A woman with a white coat wrapped around her body came out of the curtains of a room. She adjusted her glasses for a moment to see what was happening in her School Medical Room. Two of her students were frozen in place, while a man with an angry face stared intently at them.
The woman sighed. They had made a scene in what was supposed to be a quiet room.
"What's going on? Why are you guys starting a ruckus in the School Medical Room?"
Brian et al immediately turned around, and a three-headed woman was looking at them with a sweet smile on her lips. The panic-stricken Aric immediately opened his voice on behalf of the others.
"My friend had a high fever in class and is currently unconscious, ma'am."
The woman nodded her head. She grabbed her tools of war that were not far from where she was. Aric and the others who saw the School Medical Room mother walk over, immediately opened the way for the woman.
After the rather short examination was over, she moved the device around her neck away from her ear. She looked carefully at the thermometer in her hand. After concluding, she turned around to face Aric and the others.
"Right now she has a high fever. And do you know what's been making her think so hard lately? She's not just physically tired, it seems like a lot of things have been bothering her mind," the woman explained.
She's indeed only a School Medical Room teacher at the moment, but she's a former top doctor at a hospital. But it was clear that compared to the busy duties of a doctor, she would still choose her current job. After all, being a doctor in the past and being a School Medical Room mom now, the income is not too far away. Remember, she works at an international school.
Aric and the others looked at each other. One eyebrow was raised. They had no idea what personal problems Callista had been having lately. Their best friend preferred to keep everything to herself.
The School Medical Room teacher who was about to move to the medicine storage room, was made to stop seeing Aric et al who still did not move from their place.
"You have to fill your stomach first in the canteen, after that you can come back to see your friends. Your friend will be angry when he wakes up if he finds out that his friends fell ill because of him."
Aric and the others looked at the woman and then Callista in turn. They still couldn't bear to leave Callista alone in this condition.
Mrs. School Medical Room let out a long sigh. "I will take care of her with all my heart. You have nothing to worry about."
They couldn't help but walk out. After making sure they were out, the School Medical Room teacher immediately gave the code to the two students she was guiding with a finger gesture. Instantly the two twin doors were shut tightly.
"Why does Illis look strange to me lately." Chennie looked at each of her friends who immediately focused their attention on her. In contrast to Aric who continued to stare in the other direction with his eyebrows drawn together.
Chennie opened her lips again, ignoring Aric who was busy in his world. "I often see sudden changes of expression on Illis' face and she also often daydreams." Chennie's delicate fingers tapped her chin. "I don't know, maybe it's just my gut feeling. But she seems to be hiding something."
Aric straightened his gaze again. Chennie's words immediately made him remember yesterday's incident. The wound on Illis' leg was recorded in his memory. No, it wasn't an accidental wound, it looked like a deliberately made wound. What was going on? Why was he feeling so bad?
"It turns out that I'm not the only one who felt the change in Illis. From a young age, she didn't want to show the problems she was having. She's a very private person," Rheana said with a serious face.
Brian sighed. They had their suspicions, but they had no way of solving them.
"Of course, Illis won't easily tell us just because we ask." Brian paused his comment, drumming his fingers in the air. "It could be because of his trauma relapse. When he first started school, she almost had an accident. Do you remember how hard Daddy Illis tried to de-traumatize Illis after the accident?"
Chennie nodded her head slowly. "Well, it's probably because of that."
"No."
Everyone immediately turned to Aric. The man with the flat face looked like he was holding something back. His hands were clenched tightly into fists.
"I believe Illis's friend is the problem. She's changed since moving into his friend's house."
Instantly they fell silent. The School Medical Room, which was quite far from the classroom hallway, made their silence a tense atmosphere. But it didn't last long as Rheana took over.
"I remember when Brian asked if we could visit his friend's house, Illis looked suspicious, she seemed to be thinking hard about refusing. And in the end, she changed the topic because his pickup car had arrived."
Aric looked at his friends one by one. "We have to check for ourselves whether Illis' friend made Illis become like that or not. We should try to persuade Illis so that we can visit his friend's house."
Rheana, Chennie, and Brian nodded their heads in unison.

Her forehead furrowed with beads of sweat. Something soft touched her face. Her head seemed to be spinning with a throbbing pain. It was a familiar feeling to him.
Her eyelids felt very heavy. But for some reason, she felt compelled to open her eyes. The first glimpse was filled with darkness, but the second and subsequent glimpses showed clarity.
Her stiff hands strained for support. With difficulty, he tried to sit up. "Where is this?" she murmured, which could be heard clearly in the ears of the temporary residents of the School Medical Room.
Rheana, who was wringing out a small towel, immediately put the towel back into the basin. Suddenly she helped Callista who was trying to sit up. Her hands deftly adjusted the position of Callista's pillow.
"You're in the infirmary, Illis."
The baritone's familiar voice distracted Illis. The frown on her forehead became even more obvious when she saw her friends surrounding her with worried looks.
"Why am I in the infirmary?" she wondered.
"You fainted in class," explained Chennie who was pouring mineral water into a glass provided by the School Medical Room.
Callista was silent. She racked her brain for a reason why she had fainted. Her memory flashed back to some time ago. Her classmate was taking out a mini cutter secretly to open snacks while class was still in session. The sharpness of the mini-cutter made him imagine the pain and tension of Kenward's torture. She immediately became short of breath and her fingers twitched restlessly. Trying to mask her anxiety, Callista chose to hide her face behind the folds of her arms.
Chennie was puzzled to see Callista suddenly clutching her chest with all her might. The breathing of the girl beside her was suddenly irregular. Chennie's eyes rounded to see a thick, dark red liquid dripping from Callista's nose.
"B-blood!" she squealed.
Aric quickly reached for a nearby tissue. He gently placed the tissue on Callitsa's nose. Callista, who felt blood flowing from her nose, raised her head. She took over the tissue in her hand.
"How did you become like this, Illis? Why don't you pay attention to your health?" grumbled Brian who was gently stroking Callista's back. His face was filled with a worried expression.
Callista circulated her gaze, looking at her friends one by one. Eyes that demanded an explanation, was the depiction of the look in her friends' eyes.
Her hands gripped the blanket tightly, cold sweat flooding her temples, she was made to swallow her saliva with difficulty.
