A pair of long legs poked out from behind the door. The fragrant scent of vanilla immediately invaded his sense of smell. He took off the shoes that had been on his feet since morning. Walked a few steps forward and immediately pressed the light switch. The room that was originally pitch black became bright.
One of his lips lifted to see the figure of a sleeping girl leaning against the headboard. He approached the girl who was sleeping with her head down.
His index finger moved to straighten the tiny face. His other hand gently brushed away the traces of tears on her cheeks.
"How could you sleep before me," he muttered softly.
Should he wake her up? Today he had no consolation at all.
He looked closely at Callista's exhausted face. Pale white skin, a cute and tiny nose, long and curved eyelids with pink lips that were love-shaped. It was a pity that a girl with such a beautiful face was deformed. If not, the selling price must be very expensive.
Kenward clucked in annoyance as he felt the flat object in his pocket vibrate again. There are countless how many times item it voiced the call. From morning to evening, he was always preoccupied with the company's interests that branched out everywhere.
The eagle-sharp eyes caught a glimpse of the caller's name. And it turned out to be one of his confidants. He couldn't help but press the green mark on the flat screen.
"What is it?"
"I wanted to give you a report, boss. We've caught them."
"Is there anything left behind?"
"Nothing, boss."
The smirk was printed. He glanced at Callista who was still asleep. Today was a lucky day for the girl. Many people could take over the role of this little girl.
Kenward walked back to the shelf and put on his shoes quickly. Turning off the light switch when going out had become his habit. He walked quickly out of the room and headed for the special elevator that only he and the people he gave privileges to could use.
"Send me their current positions!" Kenward ordered as he walked out of the elevator.
"I'll send it right away, boss."
The shiny black flat object vibrated again as soon as he reached the center of the mansion. He stopped his steps for a moment to look at the message sent by his men. A location was listed there, not far but not close either.
He quickened his pace as he entered the garage filled with luxury cars. His fingers moved to press the car keys in his hand as he continued to approach. The garage, which was only illuminated by a few lights, was poorly lit.
Beep! Beep!
Kenward walked closer to the source of the sound. Without wanting to waste any more time, he got into the driver's seat. One of his hands tightly grasped the steering wheel. His lips were smiling broadly. But it was a sinister smile.
"This grim reaper will catch up with you, traitor," he muttered under his breath as he carved a thin smile. With practiced movements, he turned the steering wheel and immediately drove the car at an above-average speed.

The glossy maroon-colored car came to a stop, leaving behind a plume of dust. He braked the car so fast that the road was scratched into a line due to Kenward's actions.
Kenward got out of the car where the car door was opened and closed by his men. He stepped closer with both hands stuffed into his pants pockets. Always the same gaze, those eyes emitted an arrogant look.
Kenward approached his men who immediately saluted him. Simultaneously bowing their heads for a moment. In contrast to the couple with bound bodies, their gagged mouths were getting hysterical seeing Kenward's face.
"Where were they found?" asked Kenward as he took in the surroundings. This was just an ordinary roadside. Without any buildings, there was only grassland.
"We found them in a nightclub. They were partying with their friends, boss." explained a man who had the most tattoos on his body. There was even a tattoo on one of his cheeks.
Kenward nodded. A second later he chuckled. "They partied and wasted my money. They have a lot of guts."
Kenward surveyed the surroundings. This road could have been bypassed by local security. Although he could easily escape using the power of money, it was still troublesome.
"Put them in my car." He tossed his car keys which were immediately caught deftly by one of his men.
"We'll do the interrogation at my mansion. And I'll have a little fun with them in the car," Kenward broke off. He stared at the pair of lovers who couldn't stop moaning with their mouths gagged. The more they begged for mercy, the more the predatory spirit inside him grew.
Two of Kenward's henchmen, both of whom were well-built, forcibly pulled the lovers away. Pushing with a strong jerk to get them into the car immediately. But one of them suddenly hugged the left leg of Kenward's men. As if they were flies, Kenward's men immediately punched him in the face.
After the boss got into the car, the men took their places. The maroon-colored car drove protected from the front, right side left side, and back.
Kenward's hands moved to find the knives he had placed in each corner of the car. However, this time he chose a knife that was large enough to cut meat.
"Everything has a consequence, you know that right?" Kenward said as he looked at his favorite shiny knife.

Her forehead frowned. Sweat poured down her forehead. Her head moved back and forth furiously. Both hands gripped the bed sheets tightly.
"Don't!" she shouted, opening her eyes with one hand stretched forward. Her eyebrows came together with puffy eyes. Fear radiated from her facial expression.
It was only a few seconds later that Callista came to her senses. She rubbed her face roughly. Her palms were also cold because of the dream that came to her.
"The same dream," she muttered softly as she tried to normalize her heartbeat.
Every time she experienced difficulties, she recalled that moment because she missed her mommy's warmth. Until many years passed, the incident at that time was still imprinted and even came into her dreams. She often chose not to sleep just to avoid the dream.
Her right hand stretched out, lightly pressing the button to turn on the nightlight. She looked at it with an astonished gaze. Nothing? She realized that the nightstand next door was empty. It was also her fault for not letting the maid into her room earlier.
"I can't help but go downstairs," she muttered in annoyance.
She lifted the blanket that only covered her waist. She carefully lowered her legs and quickly picked up her two walking sticks. She walked slowly towards the door of the room as her body that had just woken up felt weak.
Her hand stretched out and moved to press on the door hinge. Coming out of the room, she paused for a moment as her brain was thinking hard. She was new here, of course, she would be blind, especially since she didn't walk around beforehand. She had to memorize the layout of this mansion because it was necessary when she wanted to escape.
"The kitchen must be on the ground floor. Most likely the kitchen is not positioned on the first or second floor," she monologued.
She pressed the button to go to the ground floor. And when the elevator doors opened again, Callista froze in place. It was very dark on the ground floor. How could it not be late at night but the workers had already gone home?
"Huh, there's no one here."
The eerie silence made all her hair stand on end. Suddenly she remembered the ghosts in horror movies. Huh, it was inevitable. There was always a shadow of a ghost when looking at the horror and dark atmosphere, even though she had become a teenage girl.
"Relax, Illis. The maids and other workers must be in the small cottage next to the mansion. If I scream, they should be able to hear me," she assured herself.
After repeatedly strengthening her resolve to break through the darkness, Callista finally walked out of the elevator. With her head turned this way and that to make sure no one was following her, Callista continued to walk around the ground floor which turned out to be very spacious.
The extent of this mansion was more than what she had expected. She got lost several times just to walk along all sides of the ground floor. But as the saying goes, effort never betrays results. She would not give up so easily!
The tapping sound of her walking stick echoed in the eerily quiet place. With only minimal light from a few table lamps with exquisite art carvings, Callista continued to explore every corner of the mansion's ground floor.
Her footsteps stopped when she saw a small light on a tall object. Upon realizing that the tall object was a refrigerator, she hurriedly walked over. It was not good for her heart health to linger in this dark place.
Her delicate hands slowly opened the refrigerator. She picked up an expensive-looking glass bottle.
"Is this mineral water?" she murmured. She had never seen mineral water with that brand. But judging by the engraving on the glass bottle, it looked like this mineral water was worth a lot of money.
Callista sighed. Well, what did she care about the price of food and beverages here? The most important thing right now was to quench her thirst.
She poured the mineral water into an empty glass. While drinking it slowly, her pupils moved here and there to look around. It turned out that the kitchen was not far from where he was currently standing.
"Huh, what a relief."
She closed the refrigerator again. Just now she wanted to turn around. The sound of moaning and groaning filled her senses. Her body spontaneously moved to find a hiding place.
She placed her walking stick on the floor. She was now sitting on the floor. One of her hands gently stroked her chest which was beating fast. Fortunately, there was a long table around her that could hide her.
The voice that sounded so painful was getting louder. Both of Callista's hands suddenly covered her mouth to prevent her from making a sound. The voice sounded closer. It wasn't just one voice. Two voices howled for mercy with noisy footsteps.
"I hope no one realizes my existence," Callista thought as she broke out in a cold sweat.
"Ahh! It hurts ahh! Let go!"
"Ahh! Please forgive me!"
Callista gasped when she realized the two voices were very close to her current position. Out of curiosity, she raised her head slightly.
Her eyes widened as she saw blood pouring from a woman who had lost a leg. The woman was dragged roughly until the blood flowing from her body formed a line on the floor. Her face could not be seen as it was covered by a trail of blood and her messy hair. So sadistic. The tattooed man dragged her by grabbing her hair.
