Chapter 55 - Sickness!

**Third Person's POV:**

A minute later, Lucifer entered the bathroom, and he froze when his eyes fell on Camelia.

Camelia was shaking. Her eyes widened in horror as they were still on the mirror.

Her face, arms were covered with red rashes and blisters.

She pulled the hem of her t-shirt up to uncover her stomach.

Her face paled as she stared at her body; her stomach, chest, thighs everywhere was rashes and blisters.

"W-what happened to me?" She mumbled but her voice didn’t make it loud. She still couldn’t believe her eyes.

Her beautiful skin looked so ugly. Even she herself felt repulsed.

"What are these? What happened to me!" A loud cry exited her mouth this time as she broke into hysteric tears.

Lucifer, who was shocked, came running to her side to console her.

"Preciosa, don't cry. It will get better. It might be any skin problem or allergic reaction. I am calling Melissa. It will get better within a day. Don’t worry." He held her arms, Camelia was sobbing like her world had destroyed.

"Really?" She asked, wiping her tears.

"Yeah. Really. Now calm down." Lucifer said stroking her back.

Camelia felt a little assured by his words. Her crying didn’t stop but it subsided a lot.

With this appearance, I can't even go to university. She thought.

She was looking at her body again and again and tears were rolling down her eyes.

Taking a lot of time, she brushed her teeth and finished her morning hygiene.

She was about to exit the bathroom but suddenly her head spun. She quickly held the door and prevented her fall.

She somehow returned to the bed and lay straight on her stomach. She heard Lucifer pacing around their room and talking with Melissa over the phone.

She lay there for a few minutes and when Lucifer stopped talking, she spoke thorough her sniffling, "Lucifer, can you please tell Margo to bring my breakfast here? I don't want to go down."

"Don't cry babe, everything will be alright. I already told Margo to bring the breakfast here."

Camelia nodded but still was crying burying her head in the pillow.

Margo entered the room with breakfast and greeted Lucifer. She left after placing the food on the table.

"Preciosa, get up. Don't cry anymore. Eat up, Melissa is coming. You will be alright." Lucifer assured her. Camelia was still crying, but she sat up and somehow ate the food.

After eating the food, Lucifer asked, "Are you feeling wrong anywhere?"

She nodded. "I am feeling dizzy. When Melissa is coming?"

Lucifer's forehead knitted with worry.

"You are feeling dizzy? Melissa is coming. Actually she is operating someone who was shot with bullet in his chest. As soon as she finishes, she will come here."

"Lucifer, why did you decrease the temperature of AC? I am feeling a bit chilly. Increase the temperature; I am going to lie down for a while." Camelia said, again lying on the bed.

Lucifer's frown deepened when he saw her pulling the blanket over her body.

He didn’t decrease the temperature. The room wasn’t cold enough to draw a blanket. He sat beside her and felt her temperature by placing his palm on her forehead.

"She doesn’t have fever but sure her temperature is a bit high." He thought.

Lucifer decided to stay home today to look after Camelia. She was physically ill and mentally shaken up.

He was talking with someone over the phone about his works sitting on the couch. But all of a sudden saw Camelia getting out of the bed and running towards the bathroom.

Sound of vigorous coughing and vomiting was coming out. He followed her and found Camelia vomiting vigorously on the toilet. Her body was trembling as she was emptying her stomach.

Lucifer helped her by patting her back, pulling her hairs up.

By the time she finished vomiting, her body almost collapsed on the floor. Her face contorted as she clutched her stomach.

"Ahhhhhhh!" She groaned holding her stomach.

"What happened, preciosa? Where are you feeling pain?" Lucifer questioned.

"I my s-stomach is aching so bad." Camelia responded through clenched teeth. Her face looked bloodless white.

Lucifer was puzzled. Camelia's body was showing so many symptoms all of a sudden - rashes, blishters, vomiting, dizziness, stomach pain.

"Let's get up and wash your face. Let's see, if needed we have to go to hospital." He muttered and helped her to stand up. Camelia washed her mouth, splashed cold water on her face.

Lucifer carried her to their room and laid her on the bed.

No matter how many times Lucifer told her it was normal to get sick sometimes, and she didn’t need to cover herself, Camelia didn’t want to show her body to anyone. She wrapped her body with a bedsheet.

Half an hour later, doctor Melissa came.

What's wrong today?" She questioned. Camelia was lying covering her body with a bedsheet.

Melissa came near the bed and Lucifer pulled the bedsheet off Camelia's body.

Melissa's eyes widened for a second when she looked at Camelia's state.

"Godness! From when she got this?" Melissa questioned. Camelia sat up on the bed so Melissa could take a better look at her skin.

"When I woke up today and went to bathroom, suddenly I saw my whole body was covered with these. And I am also feeling cold, nauseous. I have vomited a while ago and my stomach is paining a lot." Camelia answered.

"And my chest is feeling tight, I am feeling dizzy too." She added.

Melissa examined her rashes and blisters. She took a small syringe and took liquid swab from Camelia's blister.

"What's wrong? It's allergy?" Lucifer queried impatiently.

"Let me see." Melissa mumbled.

She checked Camelia’s pulse, her eyes and her chest with a stethoscope.

"Lucifer, let's talk outside." Melissa said. Then she and Lucifer walked out of the room, away from Camelia.

"It doesn’t seem like any allergic reaction to me. The rashes and blisters she has, are different from the rashes of any allergic reaction. And dizziness, vomiting, stomachache are also not symptoms of allergic reaction. I can give her a shot for the allergy. But if it's not from the allergy, then it can affect her body adversely. I am not quite sure about her condition." Melissa said.

"Camelia may feel mentally depressed. This is why I am telling you this alone. This type of symptoms is really new to me. However, I have taken sample from her blister. I can tell you about what's wrong two or three days later after running a lab test on it. For now, give her these medicines, these will lessen her discomfort though it can't cure her symptoms. And Lucifer as soon as possible contact more doctors for her." Melissa stated handing her a prescription.

Lucifer's worry deepened hearing her.

Melissa left and Lucifer immediately had his men buy the medicines.

As soon as he entered their room, Camelia asked, "What did she say, Lucifer? I will get well, right?"

Her innocent eyes and hopeful voice made his heart ache.

Lucifer couldn’t muster up the courage to say the truth.

So he smiled and lied, "You will get well, preciosa. Don't worry. Take the meds."

A small smile spread on her pale lips hearing him which made Lucifer feel like a shit, for lying to her.

Camelia took the medicine and took a nap.

That night, her condition went downhill. She vomited a many times and even vomited blood once.

Her blisters were paining, and she was having difficulty to breathe.

The next day, a few of the best doctors of Chicago came to see Camelia. Lucifer paid them in advance.
