Chapter 57 - Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez

Third Person's POV:

Three and a half years later, Today, Alexander was sitting proudly, clapping his hands looking at the stage.

Sapphire was receiving a gold medal for her outstanding academic performance. Today she was graduating from the university and it was her graduation ceremony. A bright smile was plastered on her angelic face.

She gracefully walked to the stage and gave her speech. Everyone present there clapped their hands and cheered for her. She was an icon to the students, a great learner to the teachers.

Today, she stepped one step ahead in the way to reach her dream to be a scientist.

Sapphire descended from the stage and hugged Alexander.

"Alexanderrrrrrr!" She exclaimed in joy.

"You made it, angel. I am so proud of you."

Alexander's parents, Devon, Lily also came to double her happiness of the great achievement.

That day Sapphire went to visit his father.

Many years had been passed already; she and Alexander were together for so long. But still, Alexander didn't say anything further to her. Sometimes she wondered if Alexander would ever ask her for marriage or they will continue their relationship like this. Sapphire didn't want to live forever this way.

She wanted a family, with her husband and children. She wanted to be a mother.

She never got herself to say these things to Alexander. After that day, when she got shot to save Alexander, he cared for her even more. He got restless easily if she was not with him.

Alexander treated her like a fragile doll from that day. He hardly had sex with her and whenever they did, he always traced the place of her chest where the bullet wound left the scar.

Sapphire already got admitted to the university for her master's and was working under a professor as a research assistant to learn more.

Her days were stressful. One day she returned home after university classes, her whole body was paining from stress and workload.

She got fresh and lay down on the bed.

"Mmmn." A low moan came out of her mouth when she felt someone was massaging her shoulder.

"Mmm." She again moaned, closing her eyes.

She heard a chuckle, it was Alexander. She didn't get up rather lay there and took the relaxing massage he was giving her.

"Does it feel good?" Alexander asked.

"Hmm." Sapphire nodded.

"God, you are so tense. Does your professor pressure you much? Want me to teach him a lesson?" He stated.

"Alexander!" Sapphire scolded.

She again moaned when Alexander's hands expertly worked on her tensed muscle knots.

"But it will feel better if Mrs. Rodriguez gets it from Mr. Rodriguez. Don't you agree?" Alexander asked.

Sapphire who was lying on the bed relaxing, needed some time to comprehend what he meant.

She got up instantly to face him.

"What did you say?" She asked back raising her brows.

"Marry me, " Alexander said.

"Did you just propose to me?" Sapphire said with her mouth agape. She was shocked.

Alexander nodded.

"Yeah."

Sapphire got out of the bed and stood before him, placing her hands in her hips.

"Hey, idiot! Which man proposes a girl like this, huh?" She asked rolling her eyes at him.

Alexander was just smirking.

"I do." He said.

"Okay, the answer is a 'no'." Sapphire said faking a smile at him.

"Well, if your answer is yes, then it was a proposal. But if you say no, then it wasn't. I told you." Alexander arrogantly claimed.

"And still my answer is no." Sapphire pressed.

"And angel, you were not given any option." Alexander winked at her.

"Alexander! You infuriating man! I am saying no. No. No. No. A big no." Sapphire whined like a child, stomping her feet.

"Really?" Alexander got out of the bed and stood up as well.

Sapphire didn't say anything, she looked away.

"Angel, look at me." Alexander gently tapped her chin.

She was still looking in another direction. Alexander took her both hands in his and placed kisses on both knuckles.

"Angel, you know I am not a romantic man. But I love you more than my life. Like any other man, I can't say all romantic cliché lines. I want you to be mine forever. Will you come to my life officially and make me the happiest man alive?" Alexander spoke lovingly.

Sapphire was still looking down; a tear fell from her downcasted eyes. She sniffed.

"Why are you saying this so late?" She mumbled.

"Angel! What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Alexander frantically asked.

"It's tears of happiness. Now tell me why are saying this so late?" She demanded.

"Because I wanted a scientist wife. She was still completing her undergrad and I didn't want to be a distraction for her." Alexander replied.

"Nonsense. You can never be a distraction." Sapphire protested looking at him.

"Okay, okay. Then the answer is a 'yes' then?" Alexander queried wriggling his perfectly shaped brows.

"Is it even a question? Of course." Sapphire replied. Standing on her tippy-toes, pulling Alexander's collar, she smashed her lips on his.

Alexander kissed her back; they kissed passionately till they both were out of air.

"See, that's why I said I didn't want to be a distraction. You can't resist me, angel." Alexander said breathing hard.

"Arrogant mafia!" Sapphire smacked his chest playfully.

"Ouch! But you love this mafia, angel. Say it." Alexander devilishly smiled.

"Yeah." Sapphire stuck her tongue at him.

........................................................................

Alexander was looking in awe when Sapphire was walking towards the aisle wearing her wedding dress, a transparent veil was covered her face but couldn't shadow her beauty. She was looking like an innocent untouched angel coming to the face of earth straight from heaven.

Alexander almost forgot to breathe when Sapphire stood before him, a huge smile playing on her beautiful lips which increased her beauty a thousand times. Alexander couldn't feel anything for a moment. Time almost froze for him, he couldn't see anything but Sapphire.

All the people of the huge wedding hall, their clapping, cheering everything disappeared in his eyes.

He wanted this moment to last forever. After exchanging wedding vows, the priest pronounced them as husband and wife.

Alexander lifted her veil and kissed her passionately.

After bidding goodbye to friends and families, they flew straight to Bora Bora for their honeymoon.

Sapphire always wanted to visit Bora Bora. At their wedding night, Alexander made love to her gently and passionately. Sapphire could feel how much caring he was to her. Every night of their honeymoon was full of passionate love and earth-shattering pleasure. Alexander would make her experience the highest level of pleasure beyond her imagination.

"Ahhhhh! Alexanderr! I am-m-" Sapphire screamed as Alexander was riding her hardly and passionately bringing her close to her explosion point.

"Yeah, babe. Let it go." Alexander's husky voice mumbled in her ear.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" She rode her climax and soon after that Alexander also released with groaning loudly in pleasure. They both lay there in each other's embrace.

They also visited Paris and Greece. Greece was Alexander's favorite holiday place.

They returned to America and started their new life as a married couple.

One day, Sapphire woke up in the morning after their intense lovemaking session and ended up running to the bathroom.

She vomited vigorously. Alexander helped her get up and wash her mouth. She brushed her teeth.

"What happened, angel?" Alexander asked her furrowing his brows deeply in worry. She was looking pale as white.

"I don't know my body isn't alright. I am feeling strange." She replied.

"Was I rough last night?" He questioned, a clear imprint of guilt was evident on his face.

"No, I think it's not the case. Maybe..." She trailed off.

"Maybe what?"

"Maybe I am pregnant. After marriage, we never used protection. Remember?" She said.

"Yeah, you are right. I will take you to the doctor." Alexander said scooping her in the bathtub.

He helped her washing her body and drying it up. She was feeling weak.

They went to a hospital to see a doctor.

"From the 4 pregnancy kits, it's clear that you are pregnant. But for 100 percent accuracy, we need to do a blood test. You have to wait a day to get the reports." The doctor said.

"We can feel that she is pregnant. We will take the blood test report tomorrow. I will take my wife home now." Alexander said to the doctor.

He couldn't contain his happiness; he always wished to have a child with his angel. Wanted another little angel and today she was pregnant. He was feeling overly joyed.

They came out of the doctor's chamber and instantly Alexander engulfed Sapphire in a hug. He kissed her forehead and kissed her lips lovingly.

"Angel, you made me so happy today. I can't imagine you are pregnant. I am so happy." He again kissed her.

Sapphire didn't say anything. She gave him a tight-lipped nervous smile.

"What's wrong, angel?" Alexander asked. He could feel her nervousness.

"Nothing." Sapphire tried to brush away.

"Don't lie to me. Tell me what's bothering you?" He demanded.

"Alexander, I don't know. I am happy but I am feeling scared. My mother was horrible to me. Many years have passed. Sometimes she still gives me nightmares. What if I can't be a good mother? I never experienced mother's love." Sapphire confessed her feelings.

Tears ran down her cheeks.

Alexander again hugged her and placed her head on his chest.

"Angel, forget about your mother. What she did was horrible. But just because you didn't receive a mother's love doesn't mean you won't be a good mother. I call you angel. Do you know why? Because you were born with an angel's heart. So much kindness, so much purity. And never think anything like this that you won't be a good mother. I know you won't be a good mother because you will be the best mother for our children." Alexander wiped her tears and kissed the top of her head.

Sapphire hugged him back and they both headed to their car.
