In the Moonblood pack residence, the sky had grown dim as the sun was nowhere to be seen. It was evening already, and Jason's house was gloomy with all the shadows and dim lighting. 

However, the expression on his face was delighted as there seemed to be light in his usually dull dark eyes for the first time in a long while. His cut face had an evil yet cruel glare as he looked at Kyley who was passed out on the floor, bound and gagged with some pieces of cloth.

For the longest while, he just sat in his chair staring at Kyley's figure. His eyes resplendent of several thoughts.

" Take her to the basement" he ordered after a while in a deep hoarse voice.

" Yes, leader!" Igor and Terry who were standing around nodded and hurried to grab Kyley who was unconscious on the floor. Before long, they were out of sight, leaving only Jason and Paige whose creased her gaze as she watched Kyley being taken away.

Being alone with her, Jason turned to face Paige. He placed a fist to his chin and stared at her with a creased gaze for the longest while. The latter seemed to notice the cold gaze on her. She curiously moved her gaze to look at Jason, however, she instantly froze and lowered her head when her eyes met with Jason's.

Even after having done what Jason asked if her, she still remembered how he had almost killed her the last time. Paige feared Jason as she didn't believe he was the type to keep to his words.

" you've done well"

Amidst the tense silence, Paige suddenly heard him praise her and couldn't help but shoot her gaze up in surprise. Her eyes widened and her mouth drew apart.

" You see, I knew that you would surely deliver. But I had to push you to a limit to do so..." Jason said as he rose from his seat. He calmly walked towards Paige who stood rooted in spot. Her whole body tense and her heart shaking in fright, yet her body trembled pleasantly at Jason's praises.

" As you well know... I have been betrayed by every lady I thought loved me. Kyley, Sam. Everyone. " Jason said as he suddenly turned away from Paige and walked to the window. He stood by the window and looked outside for a while before turning to face Paige who listened with keen interest once again. " Then, you came wanting to be mine."

Tap! Tap! Tap!

He moved to walk back to the armchair in the room as he calmly narrated. " I needed to put you on a test to see if you'd be loyal. And..." He said and turned to grin at Paige afterwards.

" It seems you've passed"

Hearing this, Paige first felt relieved, then she felt pity for Jason. She wanted to curse at Kyley and Sam for hurting Jason and making him this cruel towards other women-

She now understood why Jason had been cold towards her all along. It was because of these ungrateful women. But now, things have changed.

Her hard work had finally paid off, and now, Jason would finally find that she was the right mate for him.

" Come to me," Paige's heart stirred and her gaze widened when she saw Jason beckon to her with a cold expression. Her insides squirmed at his deep commanding voice as her wolf screamed for her to run to him.

However, her legs stood rooted to the ground, shaking fervently from the disbelief and nerves. Jason had once said this to her and things didn't end too well after all.

" Come to me and I shall take you as mine, Paige"

However, she felt that things were different this time. Hence, she forced herself and moved forward, taking slow unstable steps towards Jason. When she reached in front of him, she reached her hands to grab his hands that he held out to beckon to her.

However, " eek!" She squealed in surprise when Jason yanked her by her hands towards himself, causing her to fall in his laps.

Paige's heart pounded in her throat as she lowered her head in fear. She didn't mind how her body pressed on his.

She was actually scared, and frightened...

On one hand she felt that Jason would hurt her. And on the other hand, the rock hardness that throbbed at her laps causing a pleasuring electric jolt to spread through her being made her nervous. Paige was actually scared of mating!

No, she was nervous!

She suddenly felt Jason's fingers wrap around her neck and she couldn't help but tremble and instantly shot her gaze up. Meeting sight of his cut face that stared down at her dominantly, Paige became lost in his dull indifferent eyes that looked at her with intense fervor.

Although her body reacted in a different way, Paige didn't feel the intense burn that she expected to feel with Jason. In fact, she was just scared of him!

However, she couldn't help but flash a stiff smile and put up with it. She thought that perhaps she was nervous and that everything was just too sudden. Paige believed she'd get used to it.

Just then, Jason's finger that was wrapped around her neck tightened slightly, causing her her to grimaced yet kick her head back in pleasure. The Moonblood pack alpha neared his face to Paige's and ravishingly ate her lips.

Paige was lost in her thoughts at this moment.

She was finally with Jason just as she'd always dreamt! She was finally with her mate!

' Isn't this too easy and sudden?' the thought flashed across her mind as she struggled to keep up with Jason's dominance but she quickly pushed the thought away and frowned when Jason suddenly broke away from the kiss and slapped her on the face lightly.

" It's time for your reward, whore!" Paige frowned hearing this but she was far too gone to even think at the moment. The fire in her lower part just wanted to be quenched.

She just wrapped her hands and legs around Jason as the latter rose from the seat and headed towards a door in the room.
