Chapter 154 - Lycan Princes Slave Mate

JAXSON'S POV

''Maddie?'' Koda cautiously reached out and touched her ''Her skin's hot, but it's not burning me like it burnt you, baby?''

''She's past out'' Evet pointed out, but she sounded relieved and not worried, which confused me ''Let her sleep, she needs to rest and recover, here''

She dropped the robe, and shifted, before we looked back at her. Nudity wasn't new to our kind, but it didn't mean I wanted to see my cousin naked.

I looked back at Koda, who was slipping Maddie into the robe, before he lifted her up into his arms. Knox laid down so Koda could climb onto his back, and we took off back to our grandmother's home.

''How are we going to do damage control on this?'' I asked Koda ''She wasn't even acting like herself, she just lost it''

''She said she hates us'' Koda's voice was pained, and I felt the same.

''She was just upset'' I responded, but my own heart was breaking at her words ''We shouldn't have told her the truth''

''I hate that Noland could help her and we couldn't''

''It doesn't mean anything'' I growled ''She's ours, he means nothing!''

When we arrived back at our grandmother's, we saw our father's car, and I felt my heart race.

''Sh*t!'' Koda panicked.

''I'll handle it, take her home'' I ordered.

Evet raced in front of us, and went into the house, while Koda and I shifted and placed our girl in the car, and by the time Knox was walking back to the house, Evet came out in a dress holding a pair of pants.

I shifted and grabbed them ''Thanks'' I said and pulled them on ''What's the atmosphere like inside?''

''Frosty'' She answered, looking troubled.

''Let's get this over with'' I rubbed my face and walked inside.

I found my father and grandmother talking in the sitting room, but the second they saw us, they fell silent for a moment.

''You have one chance to convince me that she's not a threat!'' He shouted in my face ''This is unacceptable!''

''I know'' I agreed ''She didn't mean it, she lost control, she's still learning to control Ava, and she was upset. We were told something about her mother, and she lost it''

''She accused me of killing her mother''

''Well, did you?''

''How dare you speak to your grandmother like that!'' My father shouted ''Of course she didn't kill her''

''Did you know that Iyarna came to visit grandmother before Madelyn's birth?' I asked.

A look of shock flickered on my father's face before he controlled himself ''Mother?''

''I did not see her, I didn't know she was alive''

''If you're telling the truth, then let Madelyn take your memories to prove it''

''I don't need to prove anything Jaxson!'' She screamed in offense ''Now get out of my house, and I expect Madelyn to come see me within the next few days to apologize, or I will be demanding she is punished for her foul behavior!''

''Yes, grandmother'' I said quickly ''I'm sorry for what happened, I will ask her to apologize''

''No, you won't ask her to, you will tell her to, or she will be spending the night in the prison, and neither of you boys will be taking the punishment for her''

''Not even you get to decide that'' I pointed out ''A mate can take any punishment for their mate''

''Just get her temper in check'' He commented angrily ''We can not afford for her to lose it like her mother did!''

''It wasn't her fault'' Evet defended her ''She nearly molted today, that messes with her emotions, she couldn't control herself''

''How do you know that?'' I turned on her

She shrugged ''I've been researching about Phoenix since meeting Maddie''

''Researching how?'' I inquired ''The books I've found don't have anything useful''

''They... they belonged to my mother'' She admitted ''She must have gotten them from Fenrir''

''Can I borrow them?''

''Sure'' She nodded ''I'll bring them to you later''

''Thanks''

MADELYN'S POV - FLASH BACK

''LUNA!''

I looked up to see Rick shaking me gently, while someone I didn't know held something against the side of my head. I was so confused. What was happening? I could smell blood and my body was shaking in pain.

''She's waking up!'' Rick shouted at someone over his shoulder ''Luna, can you hear me?''

''Yes, why are you shouting, what's going on? Where are the twins?''

I looked around, my head was killing me and I noticed that I was still at the Queen mothers house, but I was lying on the ground in Rick's lap in front of the gate.

Wasn't I in the forest? Where? I couldn't stop myself from bursting into tears, I was so scared. What just happened? Did I attack everyone or was it a dream?

''It's alright Luna, Madelyn, please don't cry''

''What happened?''

''You got out of the car, but then your eyes started glowing, and you passed out, you hit your head on the front of the car, so please try not to move, you're bleeding.

''Did I attack anyone?'' I asked.

''No, of course not'' Rick answered.

''But, I attacked the guards, and nearly molted''

''Molted?'' He asked ''What's that? Luna, I think you need a healer''

My eyes were burning and everything was fuzzy. So, none of that was real? I could feel my body temperature was hotter than normal, but thankfully it was nothing like in that vision.

Noland had helped me. So he really was my Keeper.

''How is she?'' I heard the Queen mothers voice.

''Your majesty'' Rick bowed his head ''She's conscious, but she seems very confused, she thinks she attacked the guards, and she's talking about molting or something, I think she's confused''

''She mentioned molting?'' Kaiya sounded panicked ''Bring her inside, the healers are coming''

''No, I want to go home'' I argued and tried to sit up, but my head swam, and I fell back again.

''Luna, please don't move'' Rick pleaded.

''Where's Evet?'' I asked, my head still confused about this situation, it had felt so real ''I want Evet''

''She's not here'' Kaiya told me ''Pick her up''

I closed my eyes as Rick shifted and carefully picked me up off the ground.

''But she said she slept here last night''

''Madelyn you're confused'' Kaiya told me ''She's not here, just rest''

Was it a vision? Or was I just dreaming? If Evet hadn't slept here last night like she'd said, then it couldn't be a vision, or was she lying? If she was lying, then why did she come to the forest when I was molting?

''I want Jax and Cody'' I told the Queen mother.

''They're coming, just sleep''

I closed my eyes and must have fallen asleep because the next thing I knew, I was in Koda's arms, and we were walking down a hallway.

I was confused all over again. Were we leaving the forest or the mansion? Where were we? What what happening!?

''Cody?''

''Shh, baby, it's okay, I've got you''

''Were we in the forest?''

''No'' He sounded confused ''We're leaving the hospital, we wanted you to have a cat scan''

''Did they do something for Jaxson's burn?''

''What burn?''

''He burnt his hand on my skin''

''I thought you said her scan was clear'' I heard Jaxson speaking to someone.

''It was, your majesty'' A man responded, and I looked around ''She must have a dream and is confused''

I tried to open my eyes again, and climbed out of Cody's arms, but he tightened his grip ''Stop fussing, just stay still, baby''

''I want to go home''

''We're going, just rest, please, I don't want to drop you''

''I'm sorry'' I whispered ''I didn't mean to hurt them, I just lost control''

''Sweetheart, you didn't hurt anyone, please, don't worry''

What did he mean? I hurt the guards? Didn't I?

I fell asleep again, and when I woke up again, it was late in the afternoon, and I was lying in bed with Julia sitting next to me folding some laundry.

''Welcome back, Luna'' She smiled kindly at me.

''Where's are the twins?'' I slowly sat up, and my head was still throbbing.

''Easy'' She quickly moved over to the bed, and helped me sit up ''They're in a meeting in their office, do you remember what happened?''

I frowned thoughtfully ''I don't know'' I answered ''I went to the Queen mothers home, but... I don't know what happened after that''

''You passed out'' She told me.

''I didn't attack anyone?''

''No''

I shook my head, so it had just been a vision. If I'd gone into that home, I'd have set off the molt.

''I want my mates''

''I'll link them, please rest''

I sat back against the headrest, and pulled up my knee's, this vision didn't feel like the other ones I'd had during my dreams, was this the first one I'd had while I was awake? Is this why it felt so real?

''They're coming dear'' Julia smiled ''Do you want a drink?''

''No'' I couldn't get rid of this horrible guilty feeling about what I'd done, or didn't do

A few seconds later, Jax and Koda walked into the bedroom, and I felt myself relaxing.

''Thank you, Julia, please step out for a moment''

''Feel better, Luna'' She smiled and felt the room, shutting the door gently behind her.

''How are you baby?'' Koda kicked off his shoes, and climbed onto the bed.

''Do you remember what happened?'' Jax asked as he sat down on his side of the bed.

''I don't know what happened'' I admitted ''I think I had a vision, but it was so real, I saw myself attack the guards and I broke into your grandmother's home, and screamed at her, then I started to molt, and you burnt yourself'' I turned to Jax and looked at him hands, but they were fine ''And then I shifted and ran into the woods and then Noland helped me, but I passed out and Koda took me home, but your went back to your grandmothers home and your dad threatened to lock me up''

''Show us'' Koda placed my hand on his temple.

I touched Jaxson's temple too, and transferred everything that I'd seen.

''I thought it was so real'' I told them ''I.. it still feels so real for me, you said that Phoenix can go back in time, maybe that's what happened?''

''No'' Jax shook his head ''You can only do it through your mind, not in person, it had to be a vision''

''I was so cruel'' I felt tears fill my eyes ''I was so angry, I could have killed them all and not cared, I wanted to kill your grandmother''

''It's okay'' Koda hugged me ''You didn't do it''

''But I could have'' I pointed out ''I was going to, if that vision hadn't happened, then I would have, I want to speak to Noland, I want to start training with him to control this side of myself''

''No'' Jax shook his head ''We don't trust him, and he said so himself, he can't help you until you molt''

''Please'' I pleaded ''I don't want to hurt anyone again, please''

Jax gently cupped my face and pressed his forehead against mine ''Shh, please just rest, we'll talk about this tomorrow after you've gotten some rest''

"No, I want to see Noland"

"Tomorrow, please, baby, you hurt your head, you have to rest"
