Chapter 79 Solar Sigil’s Form

Chapter 79 Solar Sigil’s Form
Third Person’s Point of View

“How have you become this way, Tulfa?” Mavros asked seriously, deftly evading her strikes as he kept pace with her.

They had known each other for a very long time—each was intimately familiar with the other’s fighting style. They had never stood as allies, but neither had they ever truly clashed as enemies. They both had always understood exactly how dangerous the other was and had chosen to keep their distance.

Tulfa smirked darkly. “I told you, didn’t I? Don’t cross me… and the result? You never thought you’d have to fight me at all.”

Mavros’s jaw tightened as he blocked a strike that would have shattered bone, the force sending him sliding back across the torn earth.

“I never wanted it to come to this,” he said firmly, his gaze locking unflinchingly onto hers. “But you have left me with no choice. I told you this before, and I will say it again—you may stand against the entire world, you may even stand against me… but do not ever, under any circumstances, lay a hand on my mate. Do not dare touch Coriander!”

Tulfa let out a short, bitter laugh. She spun, her boot lashing out in a sweeping arc that Mavros barely ducked beneath, the wind of it whipping through his hair.

“Choices, Mavros…” she drawled, lifting an eyebrow. He caught her fist inches from his chest, straining against the crushing weight of her power. “I have never once laid a harmful hand on your woman. That necklace I gave her years ago? It was meant to help her escape the Sigil’s hold—meant to shield her from its burden—if only you hadn’t meddled in what you did not understand!”

“I interfered because I knew what you were hiding, Tulfa!” he countered, shoving her back with a burst of strength that cracked the ground between them. “I would never let the woman I love be put in danger just to feed your obsession—your twisted obsession shared by all of you!”

Her eyes flashed, the violet light burning brighter than ever.

“You understand nothing,” she hissed, raising both hands. Dark shadows coiled and writhed around her fingers like living snakes. “I am trying to save her! I am saving your Coriander from the terrible fate tied to that damned Solar Sigil, Mavros! I am drawing its power away so she might be free of it—so she might survive it—without having to pay the price with her life!”

She flung her arms forward, and a wave of shadowy energy blasted toward him. Mavros threw up his arm to shield himself; the impact knocked him off his feet and sent him skidding across the grass. He tasted dirt and blood, but he was already pushing himself up before the dust settled.

“Then let us shift, Mavros!” Graveon’s voice rumbled deep within his mind, his lycan companion restless and thrumming with power, eager to join the fight and end this quickly.

“Not so fast, Graveon. This is not the right time,” Mavros replied seriously, his eyes flicking briefly upward toward the sky—where the full moon hung perfectly round, casting its pale silver light over the entire battlefield.

Almost there… just a little longer…

Years ago, Madame Tulfa had given Coriander that necklace, and everyone had believed it was truly meant to protect her. But Mavros had discovered the terrible truth: the reason the Sigil’s power had seemed suppressed whenever Coriander wore it was not because it was being guarded—it was because the necklace was siphoning the Solar Sigil’s magic away, feeding it elsewhere.

And so, the moment the necklace shattered, all that stolen power surged back into Coriander at once. That was why the Sigil felt so overwhelmingly strong—it had been held back and controlled by Tulfa all along, through that very necklace.

The piece had originally been crafted by Alice Simon Lunaria, Coriander’s own mother, to protect whoever bore the Solar Sigil. But in the years it had remained in Tulfa’s hands, she had twisted it with dark magic of her own. Fortunately, Mavros had uncovered her secret.

The same night they made love, while Coriander slept, he had worked with Bindita to sever the hidden bond between Tulfa and the necklace—freeing the Sigil from her grasp.

Everyone still chases the Solar Sigil, still fights to possess it, and still believes it is merely a prize to be seized. But none of them understand the most important truth of all: it has already found the one it was always meant for. It has found its true master.

And now that Coriander has it back in full, unbound by Tulfa’s trickery, nothing and no one will ever be able to take it from her again.

Mavros cracked his neck, his gaze drifting once more to the moon above—now slowly being swallowed by heavy, rolling clouds.

The last sliver of moonlight vanished beneath the heavy clouds, plunging the battlefield into sudden twilight, and in that same breath, the sky itself began to darken further, the shadow creeping across the face of the moon as the long‑foretold lunar eclipse began.

That was the signal they needed.

“Graveon, alert everyone. Tell them to stand ready to shift at any moment…” Mavros commanded his lycan.

“Noted…” Graveon replied instantly, spreading the word across the battlefield in a heartbeat.

As Mavros lowered his eyes, his gaze locked straight with Coriander’s across the clearing. She was watching him, waiting.

“Are we ready now?” she asked him through their mindlink.

Mavros’s lips curled into a proud, fierce smirk. “Yes, my love,” he answered, his heart swelling with absolute faith in her. “Show them. Show me exactly what you have become…”

A resonant rumble rose from every throat of Obsidian Fang. One by one, warriors dropped to one knee, their bodies bathed in shifting silver‑and‑gold light that matched the vanishing and reappearing glow above.

Bones snapped and lengthened, fur rippled and massive, and powerful wolves burst forth—larger, stronger, and glowing with a lunar radiance no ordinary shift could ever summon.

This was no common transformation; this was the Lunar Eclipse Shift, a sacred and rare awakening that answered only when the moon itself was consumed by shadow.

The King of all Lycans stood at the center of it all, the eclipse’s deepest shadow falling directly upon him. Blue light erupted outward as his form expanded, his black fur like spun obsidian streaked with a strike of blue.

But it was Coriander who drew every eye and stilled every breath.

As the moon was fully swallowed by darkness, a light brighter than the vanished sun began to radiate from her.

Her body shifted not with the violence of a beast breaking free, but with the majesty of something long foretold finally made flesh.

Her silhouette doubled, stretched, and then resolved into something no one there had ever seen: a great, glorious white wolf of burning gold, crowned with two heads—one bearing the calm, all‑seeing gaze of the sun, the other the wild, luminous eyes of the moon.

This was her true birthright, the final form Alice had foreseen: the Lunar-Solar Wolf, guardian of the Sigil, the only being in existence who carried both lights within one soul.

“The Lunar‑Solar Wolf… the legend made flesh…” Pink breathed in awe, his gaze fixed upon Coriander’s transformed form, utterly stunned. “I never thought I would live to see this face to face.”

Gamma Fengk watched through his lycan’s eyes, equally unable to believe what he was witnessing. “Is that… truly the Queen?”

“It is,” Pink replied, his voice steady with absolute certainty. “I can feel her—her very presence—deep within that glorious form. That is Queen Coriander, as she was always meant to be.”

The two heads turned slowly—Imus is gazing toward Elder Mara, and Nico toward Madame Tulfa—their dual gaze unshakable, ancient, and all‑seeing. Then a voice like thunder ringing with clear, celestial chimes echoed within every mind upon the battlefield:

“The Solar Sigil is no longer held apart. It has become one with us.” Nico and Imus spoke in perfect unison, their voices merging with hers as one.

All around her, the Obsidian Fang wolves bowed low in reverence, their heads touching the earth. Then their howls rose as one—a resonant chorus that climbed into the darkened sky and shook the very ground beneath their paws.

It was a sound of allegiance, of wonder, and of absolute certainty: the true power of this eclipse had never been the moon’s vanishing… but its glorious rebirth within her—their queen.

“S-So that is the power of Solar Sigil…” Elder Mara whispered in disbelief.
