Chapter 190 Honor

Chapter 190 Honor
Ronald sighed and looked at Gretude. “Honor. All I want is my honor,” he said. He wanted his honor back and the first step was Dunham kingdom, he would kill Melissa and everyone else seated at this table and they rule it himself using its prowess to take down kingdoms after kingdoms till he looked his Alpha in the face and he kneels before him.

Aunt Gretude crossed her leg and stared into Ronald's eyes. She probably was trying to dig deep into his soul and understand what he was actually thinking. At last she shook her head. She had no such abilities but she had the calmness to tell if someone was lying to her. Ronald wasn't necessarily lying, he was hiding; hiding behind one finger.

She shook her head and asked him. “Who took your honor from you?” She asked.

“It is a long story that I am not interested in sharing in this room,” he said.

“Fair enough,” Aunt Gretude replied. “How about we move forward,” she said. “Get one of those maids to bring Dean and Lucas here right now you,” she pointed to Catherine and the girl nodded.

She walked out of the room angrily, she still couldn't get over the fact that she was just called dumb by the old woman but as usual she didn't say a word. She just continued with her serene expression and did what she was ordered to do quietly.

“You really think you are going to be calling the shots right?” Alina asked Gretude with a chuckle.

“You think you can call the shots?” Gretude asked.

“As a matter of fact I do,” she replied.

“Look, I am not here to call any shots. I am just here to succeed where you all have been failing. I have one or two pieces of advice to give. Our enemy currently is Melissa, then after that we can start taking ourselves out,” she said. “We bring down Melissa and her pesky Demon wolf and it is all over,” she said.

Alina nodded and withdrew, she hated this idea of a temporary alliance but the old woman speaks the truth, they all have failed to end Melissa several times. If this woman had any idea that can help, she was willing to listen to her, at least till Melissa is gone.

Catherine walked in with Dean and Lucas. Both men looked as if they'd been soaked in the rain for hours. Dean was on the younger side, he was probably in his late forties or early fifties. He had blonde hair and an obvious mustache. He was a contrast to the old and bald ! Lucas with wrinkles on his face.

“Good evening gentlemen,” Gretude began as they all sat down. “I have called you here to ask you to join us in our little mission. We all share a common interest or should I say, a common enemy,” she smiled.

“This is about Melissa, we know and we are in,” Dean spoke for the two of them.

“That is good to know,” Aunt Gretude began. “Well, the purpose of this meeting is actually to discuss how we plan to enact her early renouncement of her throne, with her out of the way, I believe we will all have more room to breathe,” she continued, glancing at everyone and making sure they were following her. “Well, first we need to learn from our failures. I learnt you were once a few steps into puppeteering her to spiral into a mental descent, what happened?” She asked, facing Ronald directly.

“Well, I don't know, she changed,” Ronald said. “Like right underneath my nose. She just woke up different one day. I believe it was the day of her parent's burial where she'd attacked Catherine verbally,'' he paused and thought for a while. “I think she changed that day and since then she became more elusive and got smarter by the day, it was almost extraordinary,” Ronald replied.

“But you had her on your web so much that she even mated with you,” she explained. “I know teenage girls, especially ones like Melissa, they just don't change. Even if you were to hurt her, there are places in the corner of her mind that would still want what she had with you,” she stopped talking and then turned to Alina.

“What do you think?” She asked her with a serious face.

“I believe she probably saw something or read something that made her realize what we were doing. I don't know. Dreykov was close to me then, he probably figured out something,” Alina said.

“Dreykov, that was her brother, a very resourceful young man with insane mental fortitude, do you think Melissa's mental fortitude is as strong as Dreykov's?” Gretude inquired.

“Nowhere near, but she is strong too; she also knows how to channel her weaknesses towards anger,” Alina said.

“I understand,” Gretude replied. “Now, if I may, I already have the ultimate plan because unlike you I understand Melissa,” she began. “The only reason she is not crushed by the weight of that throne is because you allowed her to surround herself with people that carry the burden,” she said with a chuckle. “Melissa is still that little girl that lost her parents. She never got over it so she surrounded herself with a fake illusion of their existence. She relies on all these friends of hers.”

Everyone exhaled in understanding. “We are not going to attack Melissa anymore. We attack everyone and everything she loves. We ripped them away from her, we turned them against each other. We increase their doubts and their goals will be easily manipulated,” she began. “And when she is all alone, crying in a corner, we will be the saviors that offer her solace,” she exhaled and smiled.

Alina glanced at her and chuckled. “You don't understand, the people she surrounded herself with were not for the faint of heart. Richard, the literal demon wolf, Avalors who people call the unbreakable, Beatrice, who exactly do you want to change among them?” Alina asked.

“For starters we start with her maids,” Gretude chuckled.
