Chapter 34 Small talk and a bowl of noodles
Henary had finished cooking the noodles. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at the noodles she had just cooked. She couldn't wait to enjoy the spicy noodles mixed with eggs and sausage, along with some vegetables.
"Leondra, hurry up and get your food. Let's eat together here," Henary said without looking at Leondra.
"Okay. Wait a minute," replied Leondra as she went into the cave to get her food.
Soon after, Leondra returned carrying a red paper bag. She took out her food.
"What is that, Leondra?" asked Henary, staring at Leondra's food, which looked strange.
"This is medicine and food that I can eat," replied Leondra with a chuckle.
"The color is like blood mixed with something strange," said Henary.
"Never mind, just enjoy your food. No matter how strange this food is, I still have to eat it so that my condition can slowly recover," said Leondra with a slight smile.
Perhaps to Henary, this food looked strange and disgusting. But to vampires, this food was the most delicious and had very strong energy.
When vampires were weak, they had to eat fresh blood mixed with something secret to restore their energy.
"All right. I can't wait to enjoy this noodles too," Henary replied enthusiastically.
Henary then enjoyed the noodles, as did Leondra.
"Leondra, is the food good?" asked Henary while slowly enjoying the noodles. He deliberately engaged Leondra in conversation so that his noodles wouldn't get too hot.
"Of course," replied Leondra with a smile.
"Are you sure you don't want to try these instant noodles? They're really delicious," Henary tried to offer enthusiastically to Leondra.
"I can't openly refuse the food, Henary might get suspicious," Leondra muttered to herself.
"Actually, I want to enjoy it too, but you know my condition isn't good. I'm afraid if I force myself to eat, my condition might worsen," Leondra replied with a sad expression.
Henary stopped eating and looked at Leondra with a regretful expression. "Leondra, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you sad, and I didn't understand your condition," Henary tried to explain to Leondra.
"I offered you this noodle because I thought it tasted really good," he continued.
"I understand, dear. You don't need to explain or feel bad about it. I'm like this because of my own stupidity, so I have to bear it. So stop blaming yourself, and you can go back to enjoying your food," replied Leondra.
"Thank you, Leondra," Henary said with a smile. He felt lucky that Leondra was so understanding towards him.
"Maybe it's time for me to learn to love Leondra," Henary muttered to himself.
Leondra, who knew what Henary was thinking, was of course happy. She smiled slightly but tried to act normal.
"You should have learned to love me from the beginning," Leondra thought to herself.
Henary continued to enjoy his noodles, while Leondra focused on watching him eat.
"Where are you going?" Leondra asked when she saw Henary standing up and about to leave.
"I'm going inside to get a drink," replied Henary.
"Let me get it for you. You wait here and continue eating," ordered Leondra, which Henary enthusiastically responded to with a nod.
Leondra then hurried inside to get a bottle of mineral water for Henary.
Not long after, Leondra returned and handed Henary the bottle of mineral water she had opened.
"Leondra, I want to tell you something strange that happened while you were out buying food," said Henary.
Before telling him about it, Henary first drank the mineral water given to him by Leondra.
"Just tell me, dear," replied Leondra as she sat facing Henary.
"Earlier, when I went to bathe in the river, I met three vampires. And I still remember very well that they were vampires of the highest rank because during the war against the wolves, they were at the front line. Fortunately, they didn't recognize me because I didn't participate in the war," explained Henary.
Henary felt relieved, but strangely, why did they call her a great queen? Did they mistake her for someone else?
"Then, what made you think they were strange?" asked Leondra.
"They said I was a great queen and they bowed to me in respect," replied Henary.
"Isn't that strange?" she continued, looking at Leondra with a confused expression.
Leondra laughed upon hearing Henary's explanation. "Honey, you've only been training and mastering a few powers, and they've already told you that you're a great queen. That means you will become a very powerful woman in the future."
Henary was a little skeptical about Leondra's words. Was it true that she would be that powerful? And become a queen of all kinds?
"I already told you, you are very special. You have extraordinary powers and were born in exceptional circumstances," replied Leondra.
"It's just that the Wolf is very stupid for treating you badly. Making you feel like you are not worthy when you are indeed very special," she continued.
"You're right," Henary muttered softly.
"Now just focus on training, and prove that the three Vampires are right. Take all your power that has been sealed by them," said Leondra, staring intently at Henary.
"I will definitely try as soon as possible," said Henary enthusiastically.
"Good! I really like your enthusiasm, dear," said Leondra with a laugh.
"I am also very grateful to you for still willing to train me despite your poor health. Thanks to you, I am respected by others," said Henary with a smile.
"You're welcome, dear. I will do anything to make you happy, and I will make sure that no one dares to insult you anymore," said Leondra firmly.
Henary smiled shyly, hearing Leondra's words. She really didn't expect to meet a man who treated her like a queen.
"I'm lucky to know you," said Henary, kissing Leondra's lips briefly.
"Honey, that's too fast, I want more," replied Leondra, touching her lips and looking pleadingly.
As Leondra was about to approach Henary, Henary immediately stopped her. "Wait, Leondra. Who are they?" Henary asked.
Leondra looked behind her, her face showing restraint as she saw that person.
"Damn it! How dare he come here," Leondra thought angrily.
