Chapter 22 You Lost My Merchandise pt 2

Chapter 22 You Lost My Merchandise pt 2
Alpha James

“Any MORE? Don’t tell me you sold him my omega,” Tobias said angrily. He was always testy as a boy, throwing tantrums when he didn’t get the toys he wanted. This was no different. The money for her would satisfy him, and then he would move on.

“He paid us three-quarters of a million dollars just for her. Damn right I did. You’ll get a larger cut on her, since I know you had your eye on her, but even you have to agree that we couldn’t say no to that price. And if you don’t, you’ll get over it anyway,” I told him. He had an unhealthy obsession with that girl, and he came damn close to killing her in this last incident. I don’t want to explain a dead omega. That’s much harder to handle than omegas who just…disappear.

“You knew she was mine! I had plans! I can’t believe you!” He was pacing around the room now, throwing his hands up in the air as he spoke. “Then, not only do you sell her, but you lose her before we can deliver. What the hell, Father? How could this happen?” He was still pacing, but his tone had calmed down a bit.

“I don’t know all the details, but we’ll find out. Those two omegas from the kitchen helped get her out. They’ve always had a soft spot for her. We need to speak with the guard when he finally wakes. He’s in the pack hospital now. In the meantime, you go get those girls out of here and settled.”

He nodded and then turned towards the door. He looked back at me briefly. “They’d better catch them. And they better not bring them back alive after betraying us like this.” Then he left.

I sighed. Beta George would take care of it. We couldn’t entertain any other alternative.

Heavy footsteps sounded in the hallway. “What now?” I muttered.

“You lost my merchandise?” Alpha Brian stormed into my office. “How could you lose my merchandise in the space of hours?”

“Calm down, we’ve already got a group going to fetch her. This is a slight setback, nothing more. Your other items are being moved to a secure location until you’re ready to leave,” I tried to reassure him.

“I don’t care about some other filthy little omegas. I want the grand prize. I paid too much for her for you to just let her out of here,” he seethed.

I snapped. “I didn’t fucking let her leave! That fucking Alpha Duncan managed to steal her from the dungeon with the help of some kitchen omegas. I’ve got a group after them already, so just calm the fuck down and let me handle it.”

“You’d better. You clearly have no idea what’s coming down on your head if you don’t. You don’t know the treasure you had sitting right here in your own little pack, but I guarantee you will if I don’t have her within the next few hours.”

“Are you threatening me, Alpha Brian?”

“No, not me. But I can promise you that if we don’t get her back here, someone else will be threatening you real soon. And you won’t stand a chance in front of them.”

“What the fuck are you talking about?”

“If Alpha Duncan gets her back to his pack, it won’t be long before the Royal Pack hears about it. And what do you think they’ll do to the pack that’s hidden their lost little princess for the last eighteen years?” He looked at me. I felt the blood drain from my face. “That’s right, James. Don’t you remember, eighteen years ago? How could you forget, with a name like Seren on the bulletins?”

“That’s…that’s not possible. She’s wolfless. She’s just a nobody orphan.” I was suddenly having a hard time breathing.

“No, James. She’s not wolfless. She’s a royal. And her family is going to be angry and out for blood. If you don’t get her back here, you’re looking at one outcome and one only.”

I looked up at him then, and though I already knew deep in my gut, I asked the question anyway. “What?”

“Annihilation.”
